1: Hear the [G3588] word [G3056] of Boss '[G2962] which [G3739] I [G1473] take up [G2983] against [G1909] you [G1473] -- a lamentation [G2355]! house [G3624] of the [G3588] Israel fell [G4098]; no longer [G3765] should [G3361] it proceed [G4369] the [G3588] to rise .
2: Virgin [G3933] Israel tripped upon [G1909] the [G3588] its land '[G1093][G1473]; there is none [G3756] the [G3588] raising her up [G1473].
3: For [G1360] thus [G3592] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316], the [G3588] city [G4172] from out [G1537] of which [G3739] went [G1607] a thousand [G5507], will be left with [G5275] a hundred [G1540]; and [G2532] from out [G1537] of which [G3739] went forth [G1607] a hundred [G1540], will be left [G5275] ten [G1176] to the [G3588] house [G3624] of Israel.
4: For [G1360] thus [G3592] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] Israel, Inquire of [G1567] me [G1473]! and [G2532] you will live [G2198].
5: And [G2532] do not [G3361] seek after [G1567] Beth-el, and [G2532] into [G1519] Gilgal enter not [G3361][G1531], and [G2532] by [G1909] the [G3588] Well [G5421] of the [G3588] Oath [G3727] do not pass over [G3361][G1224]! For [G3754] Gilgal, by capturing will be captured , and [G2532] Beth-el will be as [G5613] not [G3756] existing [G5224].
6: Inquire of [G1567] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] live [G2198]! so that [G3704] should not [G3361] blaze up as [G5613] fire [G4442] the [G3588] house [G3624] of Joseph], and [G2532] it should devour [G2719] him [G1473], and [G2532] there will not be [G3756] the [G3588] [one] extinguishing [G4570] to the [G3588] house [G3624] of Israel.
7: the [one] [G3588] appointing [G4160] in [G1519] height [G5311] judgment [G2917], even [G2532] righteousness [G1343] for [G1519] land '[G1093] established [G5087];
8: the [one] [G3588] making [G4160] all [things] [G3956], and [G2532] fashioning them differently , and [G2532] turning [G1624] into [G1519] the morning [G4404] shadow [G4639], and [G2532] day [G2250] into [G1519] night [G3571] darkening ; the [G3588] [one] calling on [G4341] the [G3588] water [G5204] of the [G3588] sea [G2281], and [G2532] pouring [G1632] it [G1473] upon [G1909] face [G4383] of the [G3588] land '[G1093] -- Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] almighty [G3841] [is] name [G3686] of him [G1473].
9: the [one] [G3588] dividing [G1244] conflict into [G1909] strength [G2479], and [G2532] misery [G5004] upon [G1909] fortress [G3794] one bringing [G1863].
10: They detested [G3404] at [G1722] gates [G4439] one reproving [G1651], and [G2532] word [G3056] sacred [G3741] they abhorred .
11: On account of [G1223] this [G3778], because they struck with their fist ones begging [G4434], and [G2532] gifts [G1435] choice [G1588] they took [G1209] from [G3844] them [G1473]; houses [G3624] planed [seeing that] you built [G3618], that [G2532] in no way will you dwell [G2730] in [G1722] them [G1473]; vineyards desirable you planted [G5452], but [G2532] in no way should you drink [G4095] of the [G3588]ir wine [G3631][G1473].
12: For [G3754] I knew [G1097] many [G4183] impious deeds of yours [G1473], and [G2532] mighty [G2478] the [G3588] sins your [G1473] -- trampling [G2662] just [G1342], taking [G2983] prices , and [G2532] needy [G3993] at [G1722] gates [G4439] turning aside [G1578].
13: Because of [G1223] this [G3778], the [G3588] [one] perceiving [G4920] in [G1722] that time [G2540][G1565] will keep silent [G4623], for [G3754] time [G2540] is evil [G4190].
14: Inquire of [G1567] the [G3588] good [G2570], and [G2532] not [G3361] the [G3588] wicked [G4190]! so that [G3704] you should live [G2198]. And [G2532] it will be thus [G3779] -- Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] the [G3588] almighty [G3841] with [G3326] you [G1473] in which [G3739] manner [G5158] you spoke, [saying [G2036],
15: We have detested [G3404] the [G3588] evil [things] [G4190], and [G2532] we loved the [G3588] good [things] [G2570]. Then [G2532] restore in [G1722] gates [G4439] judgment [G2917]! so that [G3704] should show compassion on [G1653] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] the [G3588] almighty [G3841] the [G3588] residue of Joseph.
16: On account of [G1223] this [G3778], thus [G3592] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] the [G3588] almighty [G3841], In [G1722] all [G3956] squares [will be [G4113] a beating of the breast [G2870], and [G2532] in [G1722] all [G3956] ways [G3598] it will be said [G2046], Woe [G3759], woe [G3759]. will be called [G2564] farmer [G1092] unto [G1519] mourning [G3997], and [G2532] for [G1519] beating of the breast [G2870], and [G2532] for [G1519] knowing [G1492] wailing [G2355].
17: Even [G2532] in [G1722] all [G3956] ways [G3598] a beating of the breast [G2870]. For [G1360] I will go [G2064] through [G1223] your midst [G3319][G1473], said [G2036] Boss '[G2962].
18: Woe [G3759], O ones the [G3588] desiring [G1937] the [G3588] day [G2250] of BOSS, [saying[G2962], What [is [G2444] this [G3778], to us [G1473] the [G3588] day [G2250] of the [G3588] Boss '[G2962]? Even [G2532] tof him '[G1473] is darkness [G4655] and [G2532] not [G3756] light [G5457].
19: [It will be] in which [G3739] manner [G5158] if [G1437] should flee [G5343] a man from [G1537] face [G4383] of a lion [G3023], and [G2532] should fall [G1706] to him [G1473] a bear . And [G2532] he should rush [G1530] into [G1519] the [G3588] his house [G3624], and [G2532] should fasten the [G3588] his hands [G5495][G1473] upon [G1909] the [G3588] wall [G5109], and [G2532] should bite [G1143] it [G1473] a serpent [G3789].
20: Is not [G3780] darkness [G4655] the [G3588] day [G2250] of the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] not [G3756] light [G5457]? and [G2532] dimness [G1105], not [G3756] having [G2192] brightness [G5338] in it [G1473]?
21: I have detested [G3404], I have thrust away your holiday [feasts [G1859][G1473], and [G2532] in no way will I savor in [G1722] the [G3588] your festivals [G3831][G1473].
22: For [G1360] if [G1437] you should bring [G5342] to me [G1473] whole burnt-offerings [G3646] and [G2532] your sacrifice offerings [G2378][G1473], I will not [G3756] favorably receive [them [G4327]. And [G2532] deliverance [offering [G4992] grandeur [G2015] of your [G1473] I will not [G3756] look upon [G1914].
23: Remove [G3179] from me [G1473] sound [G2279] of your odes [G5603][G1473]! and [G2532] psalm [G5568] of your instruments [G1473] I will not [G3756] hear .
24: And [G2532] will roll down [G2947] as [G5613] water [G5204] judgment [G2917], and [G2532] righteousness [G1343] as [G5613] rushing stream [G5493] an impassable .
25: Did [G3361] victims for slaughter [G4968] and [G2532] sacrifices [G2378] you bring near [G4374] to me [G1473], O house [G3624] of Israel, for forty [G5062] years [G2094] in [G1722] the [G3588] wilderness [G2048]?
26: And [G2532] you took up the [G3588] tent [G4633] of the [G3588] Molech, and [G2532] the [G3588] star of the [G3588] your god [G2316][G1473], Raiphan, the [G3588] impressions [G5179] of them [G1473] which [G3739] you made [G4160] for yourselves [G1438].
27: And [G2532] I will displace [G3351] you [G1473] beyond [G1900] Damascus, says [G3004] Boss '[G2962]. the [G3588] God '[G2316] almighty [G3841] [is the] name [G3686] to him [G1473].
