Numbers Chapter 11 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] were the [G3588] people [G2992] grumbling [G1111] wickedly [G4190] before [G1725] Boss '[G2962]. And [G2532] BOSS heard [G2962], and [G2532] he became enraged [G2373] in anger [G3709]; and [G2532] there burned [G1572] among [G1722] them [G1473] a fire [G4442] by [G3844] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] it devoured [G2719] a certain part [G3313][G5100] of the [G3588] camp [G3925].
2: And [G2532] cried out [G2896] the [G3588] people [G2992] to [G4314] Moses. And [G2532] Moses made a vow [G2172] to [G4314] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] abated [G2869] the [G3588] fire [G4442].
3: And [G2532] he called [G2564] the [G3588] name [G3686] of the [G3588] that place [G5117][G1565], Combustion , for [G3754] burned [G1572] among [G1722] them [G1473] fire [G4442] by [G3844] Boss '[G2962].
4: And [G2532] the [G3588] intermixed [people the [G3588] among [G1722] them [G1473] desired [G1937] [with a great] desire [G1939]. And [G2532] having sat down [G2523], they wept [G2799] along with [G2532] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel. And [G2532] they said [G2036], Who [G5100] will feed us [G1473][G5595] meats [G2907]?
5: We remember [G3403] the [G3588] fishes [G2486] which [G3739] we ate [G2068] in [G1722] Egypt without charge [G1431], and [G2532] the [G3588] cucumbers , and [G2532] the [G3588] melons , and [G2532] the [G3588] leeks , and [G2532] the [G3588] onions , and [G2532] the [G3588] garlics .
6: But now [G3568][G1161] the [G3588] our soul [G5590][G1473] is dried up ; [there is] nothing [G3762] except [G4133] for [G1519] the [G3588] manna [G3131] to the [G3588] eyes [G3788] of us [G1473].
7: And the [G3588][G1161] manna [G3131] is as [G5616] seed [G4690], it is [as] of coriander , and [G2532] the [G3588] appearance [G1491] of it [G1473] [is the] appearance [G1491] of ice [G2930].
8: And [G2532] traveled around [G1279] the [G3588] people [G2992] and [G2532] collected together [G4816], and [G2532] ground it [G1473] with [G1722] the [G3588] millstone [G3458], and [G2532] ground with [G1722] the [G3588] hand mill , and [G2532] boiled it [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] earthen pot , and [G2532] made [G4160] it [G1473] into a cake baked in hot ashes . And [G2532] was the [G3588] satisfaction [G2237] from [eating] it [G1473] as [G5616] taste of pastry [made with [G1537] olive oil [G1637].
9: And [G2532] whenever [G3752] came down [G2597] the [G3588] dew upon [G1909] the [G3588] camp [G3925] at night [G3571], came down [G2597] the [G3588] manna [G3131] upon [G1909] it [G1473].
10: And [G2532] Moses heard their weeping [G2799][G1473], according to [G2596] their peoples [G1218][G1473], each [G1538] at [G1909] the [G3588] his door [G2374][G1473]. And [G2532] was enraged [G2373] in anger [G3709] Boss '[G2962] exceedingly [G4970]; and [G2532] before [G1725] Moses it was wicked [G4190].
11: And [G2532] Moses said [G2036] to [G4314] Boss '[G2962], Why [G2444] do you afflict [G2559] the [G3588] your attendant [G2324][G1473]? And [G2532] why [G1302] have I not [G3756] found [G2147] favor [G5484] before [G1726] you [G1473] to place [G2007] the [G3588] thrust [G3730] of the [G3588] this people [G2992][G3778] upon [G1909] me [G1473]?
12: [Have [G3361] I [G1473] in [G1722] womb [G1064] conceived [G2983] all [G3956] the [G3588] this people [G2992][G3778], or [G2228] [have] I [G1473] given birth to [G5088] them [G1473]? that [G3754] you say [G3004] to me [G1473], Take [G2983] them [G1473] into [G1519] the [G3588] your bosom [G2859][G1473] as [G5616] lifts a wet-nurse the [G3588] [one] being nursed [G2337], unto [G1519] the [G3588] land '[G1093] which [G3739] you swore by an oath [G3660] to the [G3588]ir fathers [G3962][G1473]?
13: From what place [G4159] is it to me [G1473] meats [G2907] to give [G1325] to all [G3956] the [G3588] this people [G2992][G3778]? for [G3754] they weep [G2799] upon [G1909] me [G1473], saying [G3004], Give [G1325] to us [G1473] meats [G2907] that [G2443] we may eat [G2068]!
14: will not [G3756] be able [G1410] I [G1473] alone [G3441] to bring [G5342] the [G3588] this people [G2992][G3778], for [G3754] heavy for me [G1473] is the [G3588] this matter [G4487][G3778].
15: But if [G1487][G1161] so [G3779] you [G1473] do [G4160] to me [G1473], kill me [G1473] with [my] removal , if [G1487] I have found [G2147] favor [G5484] with [G3844] you [G1473], that [G2443] I should not [G3361] see [G1492] the [G3588] my ill-treatment [G2561][G1473].
16: And [G2532] BOSS said [G2036][G2962] to [G4314] Moses, Bring together [G4863] to me [G1473] seventy [G1440] men from the [G3588] elders [G4245] of Israel! whom [G3739] you [G1473] yourself [G1473] know [G1492]. These [G3778] are elders [G4245] of the [G3588] people [G2992], and [G2532] their scholars (scribes) '[G1122] (soferim [H5613])[G1473]. And [G2532] you will convey ' them [G1473] to [G1519] the [G3588] tent [G4633] of the [G3588] testimony [G3142], and [G2532] they will stand [G2476] there [G1563] with [G3326] you [G1473].
17: And [G2532] I will go down [G2597] and [G2532] speak [G2980] there [G1563] with [G3326] you [G1473]. And [G2532] I will remove off the [G3588] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] the [G3588] upon [G1909] you [G1473], and [G2532] I will place [it [G2007] upon [G1909] them [G1473], and [G2532] they will aid [G4878] with [G3326] you [G1473] the [G3588] thrust [G3730] of the [G3588] people [G2992], and [G2532] will not [G3756] bring [G5342] them [G1473] you [G1473] alone [G3441].
18: And [G2532] to the [G3588] people [G2992] you will say [G2046], Purify yourselves for [G1519] tomorrow ! and [G2532] you will eat [G2068] meats [G2907], for [G3754] you wept [G2799] before [G1725] Boss '[G2962], saying [G3004], Who [G5100] will feed us [G1473][G5595] meats [G2907]? for [G3754] good [G2570] to us [G1473] it [was [being] in [G1722] Egypt. And [G2532] BOSS will give [G1325][G2962] to you [G1473] meats [G2907] and [G2532] you will eat [G2068].
19: not [G3756] day [G2250] [for] one [G1520] You will eat [G2068], nor [G3761] two [G1417], nor [G3761] five [G4002] days [G2250], nor [G3761] ten [G1176] days [G2250], nor [G3761] twenty [G1501] days [G2250],
20: for [G2193] a month [G3376] of days [G2250] you will eat [G2068], until [G2193] whenever [it] should come forth [G1831] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] your nostrils [G1473]; and [G2532] it will be to you [G1473] for [G1519] a cholera , that [G3754] you resisted Boss '[G2962] who [G3739] is among [G1722] you [G1473], and [G2532] you wept [G2799] before [G1726] him [G1473], saying [G3004], What did [G2444] we [do [G1473] to come [G1831] out of [G1537] Egypt?
21: And [G2532] Moses said [G2036], six hundred [G1812] thousand [G5505] footmen [are] the [G3588] people [G2992] in [G1722] which [G3739] I am among [G1722] them [G1473]. And [G2532] you [G1473] said [G2036], meats [G2907] I will give [G1325] them [G1473], and [G2532] they will eat [G2068] for a month [G3376] of days [G2250].
22: [will [G3361] sheep [G4263] and [G2532] oxen [G1016] be slain [G4969] for them [G1473], and [G2532] will it suffice to them [G1473]? or [will [G2228] all [G3956] the [G3588] fish of the [G3588] sea [G2281] be brought [G4863] to them [G1473], and [G2532] will it suffice to them [G1473]?
23: And [G2532] BOSS said [G2036][G2962] to [G4314] Moses, will [G3361] the [G3588] hand [G5495] of Boss '[G2962] not [G3756] be enough ? Already [G2235] you will know [G1097] if [G1487] will overtake you [G1473] the [G3588] my word [G3056][G1473] or [G2228] not [G3756].
24: And [G2532] Moses came forth [G1831], and [G2532] he spoke [G2980] to [G4314] the [G3588] people [G2992] the [G3588] sayings [G4487] of Boss '[G2962]. And [G2532] he brought together [G4863] seventy [G1440] men from the [G3588] elders [G4245] of the [G3588] people [G2992], and [G2532] he stood [G2476] them [G1473] round about [G2945] the [G3588] tent [G4633].
25: And [G2532] BOSS came down [G2597][G2962] in [G1722] a cloud [G3507], and [G2532] he spoke [G2980] to [G4314] him [G1473], and [G2532] he lifted from the [G3588] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151], of the [G3588] [one] upon [G1909] him [G1473], and [G2532] he placed [it [G2007] upon [G1909] the [G3588] seventy [G1440] men of the [G3588] elders [G4245]. And as [G5613][G1161] rested [G1879] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] upon [G1909] them [G1473], that [G2532] they prophesied [G4395], and [G2532] no longer [G3765] proceeded [G4369].
26: And [G2532] were left behind [G2641] two [G1417] men in [G1722] the [G3588] camp [G3925]; name [G3686] of the [G3588] [one] [G1520] [was] Eldad, and [G2532] name [G3686] of the [G3588] second [G1208] [was] Medad; and [G2532] rested [G1879] upon [G1909] them [G1473] the [G3588] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151], and [G2532] these [G3778] were of the [G3588] [ones] delineated , and [G2532] came not [G3756][G2064] to [G4314] the [G3588] tent [G4633]; and [G2532] they prophesied [G4395] in [G1722] the [G3588] camp [G3925].
27: And [G2532] ran up [G4370] the [G3588] a young man [G3495] to report to Moses, and [G2532] said [G2036], saying [G3004], Eldad and [G2532] Medad are prophesying [G4395] in [G1722] the [G3588] camp [G3925].
28: And [G2532] answering Joshua the [G3588] [son of the [G3588] Nun, the [G3588] [one] standing beside [G3936] Moses, the [G3588] his chosen one [G1588][G1473], said [G2036], O my boss [G2962][G1473] Moses, restrain [G2967] them [G1473]!
29: And [G2532] Moses said [G2036] to him [G1473], [Are [G3361] you zealous [G2206][G1473] for me [G1473]? and [G2532] O how [G5100] it would be given [G1325] all [G3956] the [G3588] people [G2992] of Boss '[G2962] [were] prophets [G4396], whenever [G3752] BOSS should put [G1325][G2962] the [G3588] his wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151][G1473] upon [G1909] them [G1473].
30: And [G2532] Moses went forth into [G1519] the [G3588] camp [G3925], he [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] elders [G4245] of Israel.
31: And [G2532] a wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] went forth [G1831] from [G3844] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] carried over mother-quail from the [G3588] sea [G2281], and [G2532] it put [them [G1911] upon [G1909] the [G3588] camp [G3925], journey [G3598] a days [G2250] here [on this side [G1782], and [G2532] journey [G3598] a days [G2250] here [on that side [G1782], round about [G2945] the [G3588] camp [G3925], about [G5616] two cubits from the [G3588] land '[G1093].
32: And [G2532] rose up the [G3588] people [G2992] entire [G3650] the [G3588] day [G2250] that [G1565], and [G2532] the entire [G3650] the [G3588] night [G3571], and [G2532] entire [G3650] the [G3588] day [G2250] the [G3588] next [G1887]; and [G2532] they gathered together [G4863] the [G3588] mother-quail -- the [G3588] [one] the [G3588] a few [G3641] gathering [G4863] [was] ten [G1176] cors [G2884]. And [G2532] they cooled [G5594] themselves [G1438] [in a time of] refreshing round about [G2945] the [G3588] camp [G3925].
33: The [G3588] meats [G2907] still [G2089] was in [G1722] the [G3588]ir teeth [G3599][G1473] before [G4250] the [G3588] dissipating [G1587]. And [G2532] Boss '[G2962] was enraged [G2373] in wrath [G3709] at [G1519] the [G3588] people [G2992]. And [G2532] BOSS struck [G3960][G2962] the [G3588] people [G2992] calamity [G4127] great [G3173] an exceedingly [G4970].
34: And [G2532] was called [G2564] the [G3588] name [G3686] of the [G3588] that place [G5117][G1565], Tombs [G3418] of the [G3588] Desire [G1939]. For [G3754] there [G1563] they entombed [G2290] the [G3588] people [G2992] the [G3588] craving [G1938].
35: From Tombs [G3418] of the [G3588] Desire [G1939] lifted away [G1808] the [G3588] people [G2992] unto [G1519] Hazeroth; and [G2532] existed [G1096] the [G3588] people [G2992] in [G1722] Hazeroth.
