1 Samuel Chapter 11 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] went up Nahash the [G3588] Ammonite], and [G2532] camped against [G1909] Jabish Gilead. And [G2532] said [G2036] all [G3956] the [G3588] men of Jabish] to [G4314] Nahash the [G3588] Ammonite, Ordain [G1303] with us [G1473] a covenant [G1242]! and [G2532] we will serve [G1398] you [G1473].
2: And [G2532] said [G2036] to [G4314] them [G1473] Nahash the [G3588] Ammonite], By [G1722] this [G3778] I will ordain [G1303] with you [G1473] a covenant [G1242], in [G1722] the [G3588] gouging out [G1846] of all of you [G1473][G3956] eye [G3788] right [G1188], and [G2532] I will make [G5087] it [G1473] for [G1519] scorn [G3681] upon [G1909] all [G3956] Israel.
3: And [G2532] spoke [G3004] to him [G1473] the [G3588] men of Jabish], [saying], Spare us [G1473] seven [G2033] days [G2250], and [G2532] we will send word-conveyers (messengers) ' unto [G1519] every [G3956] border [G3725] of Israel. And [G2532] if [G1437] there might not [G3361] be the [G3588] [one] delivering [G4982] us [G1473], then [G2532] we will come forth [G1831] to [G4314] you [G1473].
4: And [G2532] came [G2064] the [G3588] word-conveyers (messengers) ' into [G1519] Gibeah to [G4314] Saul, and [G2532] they spoke [G2980] the [G3588] words [G3056] these [G3778] into [G1519] the [G3588] ears [G3775] of the [G3588] people [G2992]; and [G2532] lifted up all [G3956] the [G3588] people [G2992] the [G3588]ir voice [G5456][G1473], and [G2532] they wept [G2799].
5: And [G2532] look [G2400], Saul came [G2064] from behind the [G3588] oxen [G1016] from out of [G1537] field . And [G2532] Saul said [G2036], Why [G5100] [is it] that [G3754] weep [G2799] the [G3588] people [G2992]? And [G2532] they described [G1334] to him [G1473] the [G3588] words [G4487] of the [G3588] men of Jabish.
6: And [G2532] sprang up [G2177] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] [of the] Boss '[G2962] upon [G1909] Saul, as [G5613] he heard the [G3588]se words [G4487][G3778], and [G2532] enraged [G2373] over [G1909] them [G1473] his anger [G3709][G1473] [was] exceedingly [G4970].
7: And [G2532] he took [G2983] two [G1417] oxen [G1016], and [G2532] dismembered them [G1473], and [G2532] sent [them unto [G1519] every [G3956] border [G3725] of Israel by [G1722] hand [G5495] of word-conveyers (messengers) ', saying [G3004], Whosoever [G3739] not [G3756] is going forth [G1607] after [G3694] Saul and [G2532] after [G3694] Samuel, according to [G2596] thus [G3592] they will do [G4160] [to the [G3588] his oxen [G1016][G1473]. And [G2532] there fell [G4098] a change of state [G1611] of Boss '[G2962] upon [G1909] the [G3588] people [G2992], and [G2532] they yelled as [G5613] man one [G1520].
8: And [G2532] he numbered [G1980] them [G1473] in Bezek, all [G3956] men of Israel -- three hundred [G5145] thousand [G5505], and [G2532] men of Judah -- thirty [G5144] thousand [G5505].
9: And [G2532] he said [G2036] to the [G3588] word-conveyers (messengers) ', to the [G3588] [ones] coming [G2064], Thus [G3592] you will say [G2046] to the [G3588] men of Jabish Gilead, Tomorrow there will be deliverance to you [G1473] the [G3588][G4991] at warming through of the [G3588] sun [G2246]. And [G2532] came [G2064] the [G3588] word-conveyers (messengers) ' into [G1519] the [G3588] city [G4172], and [G2532] they reported to the [G3588] men of Jabish, and [G2532] they were glad [G2165].
10: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] men of Jabish] to [G4314] Nahash the [G3588] Ammonite, Tomorrow we will come forth [G1831] to [G4314] you [G1473], and [G2532] you will do [G4160] to us [G1473] what the [G3588] [is] good before [G1799][G1473] you [G1473].
11: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] with [G3326] the [G3588] morning , that [G2532] Saul put [G5087] the [G3588] people [G2992] into [G1519] three [G5140] companies , and [G2532] they entered [G1531] into [G1519] midst [G3319] of the [G3588] camp [G3925] in [G1722] the [G3588] early morning [G4407] watch [G5438], and [G2532] they struck [G5180] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Ammon until [G2193] warmed through the [G3588] day [G2250]. And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096], the [G3588] [ones] being left behind [G5275] were scattered [G1289], and [G2532] there was not [G3756] left behind [G5275] among [G1722] them [G1473] two [G1417] together [G2089] the [G3588][G1473].
12: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] people [G2992] to [G4314] Samuel, Who [is [G5100] the [G3588] [one] saying [G2036], Saul will not [G3756] reign over [G1909] us [G1473]? Deliver up [G3860] the [G3588] men ! and [G2532] we will kill them [G2289][G1473].
13: And [G2532] Saul said [G2036], Not [G3756] will die any one [G3762] in [G1722] the [G3588] this day [G2250][G3778], for [G3754] today [G4594] BOSS produced [G4160][G2962] deliverance [G4991] in [G1722] Israel.
14: And [G2532] Samuel said [G2036] to [G4314] the [G3588] people [G2992], saying [G3004], Come [G1205], we should go [G4198] unto [G1519] Gilgal, and [G2532] we should renew [G1457] there [G1563] the [G3588] government '.
15: And [G2532] went [G4198] all [G3956] the [G3588] people [G2992] unto [G1519] Gilgal; and [G2532] Samuel anointed [G5548] Saul there [G1563] the [G3588] as [G1519] king before [G1799] Boss '[G2962] in [G1722] Gilgal. And [G2532] he sacrificed [G2380] there [G1563] sacrifice [offerings [G2378] and [G2532] peace [offerings [G1516] before [G1799] Boss '[G2962]. And [G2532] was glad [G2165] there [G1563] Saul] and [G2532] all [G3956] men of Israel greatly [G4970].
