Isaiah Chapter 22 - | Early Church Bible

1: The [G3588] matter [G4487] of the [G3588] ravine [G5327] of Zion. What [G5100] happened [G1096] to you [G1473] that [G3754] now [G3568] you went up all [G3956] unto [G1519] roofs [G1430] in vain [G3152]?
2: was filled up [G1705] the [G3588] city [G4172] of ones yelling . the [G3588] Your slain [G1473] are not [G3756] slain ones by [G1722] swords [G3162], nor [G3761] the [G3588] your dead [G3498][G1473] dead ones [G3498] by war [G4171].
3: All [G3956] the [G3588] your rulers [G1473] have fled [G5343] together from the [G3588] bow [G5115], being tied [G1210] they are , and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] being strong [G2480] among [G1722] you [G1473] at a distance [G4206] have fled [G5343].
4: On account of [G1223] this [G3778], I said [G2036], Let me go [G1473]! bitterly [G4090] I will weep [G2799]. You should not [G3361] grow strong [G2729] to comfort [G3870] me [G1473] over [G1909] the [G3588] destruction [G4938] of the [G3588] daughter [G2364] of the [G3588] my people [G2992][G1473].
5: For [G3754] [it is] a day [G2250] of disturbance [G5016], and [G2532] destruction , and [G2532] trampling , and [G2532] an addiction to a delusion by [G3844] Boss '[G2962] of Hosts [G4519]. in [G1722] ravine [G5327] of Zion They wander [G4105]. from small [G3397] unto [G2193] great [G3173] They wander [G4105] upon [G1909] the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735].
6: But the [G3588][G1161] Elamites took [G2983] quivers , and [G2532] riders men upon [G1909] horses [G2462], and [G2532] [there was] a gathering [G4864] of a battle array .
7: And [G2532] will be the [G3588] choice [G1588] ravines [G5327] your [G1473] filled [G4130] of chariots , and the [G3588][G1161] horsemen [G2460] will obstruct the [G3588] your gates [G4439][G1473].
8: And [G2532] they will uncover the [G3588] gates [G4439] of Judah, and [G2532] they will look [G1689] the [G3588] in that day [G2250][G1565] unto [G1519] the [G3588] choice [G1588] houses [G3624] of the [G3588] city [G4172].
9: And [G2532] they will uncover the [G3588] hidden [places [G2927] of the [G3588] houses [G3624] of the [G3588] Akra of David. And [G2532] they saw [G1492] that [G3754] many more [G4183] there were , and [G2532] they turned the [G3588] water [G5204] of the [G3588] ancient pool [G2861] into [G1519] the [G3588] city [G4172];
10: and [G2532] that [G3754] they demolished [G2507] the [G3588] houses [G3624] of Jerusalem for [G1519] fortification [G3794] of walls [G5038] of the [G3588] city [G4172].
11: And [G2532] you produced [G4160] for yourselves [G1438] water [G5204] between the [G3588] two [G1417] walls [G5038] inside the [G3588] pool [G2861] the [G3588] ancient , but [G2532] you did not [G3756] look [G1689] to [G1519] the [G3588] in beginning one making [G4160] it [G1473]; and [G2532] the [G3588] [one] creating [G2936] it [G1473] you did not [G3756] look [at] [G1492].
12: And [G2532] called [G2564] Boss '[G2962] of Hosts [G4519] in [G1722] the [G3588] that day [G2250][G1565] for weeping [G2805], and [G2532] beating the breast [G2870], and [G2532] shaving , and [G2532] girding up sackcloths [G4526].
13: But they [G1473][G1161] were making [G4160] glad [G2167] and [G2532] leaping for joy , slaying [G4969] calves [G3448], and [G2532] sacrificing [G2380] sheep [G4263] so as [G5620] to eat [G2068] meat [G2907] and [G2532] to drink [G4095] wine [G3631], saying [G3004], We should eat [G2068] and [G2532] drink [G4095], for tomorrow [G1063] we die .
14: And [G2532] being uncovered these [things] are [G3778] in [G1722] the [G3588] ears [G3775] of Boss '[G2962] of Hosts [G4519], for [G3754] will not [G3756] be forgiven you [G1473] this [G3778] the [G3588] sin until [G2193] whenever you should die .
15: Thus [G3592] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962] of Hosts [G4519], Go [G4198] into [G1519] the [G3588] cubicle , to [G4314] Somnan the [G3588] storekeeper , and [G2532] say [G2036] to him [G1473],
16: Why [G5100] are you [G1473] here [G5602]? and [G2532] what [G5100] is there to you [G1473] here [G5602]? that [G3754] you quarried [G2998] for yourself [G4572] here [G5602] a memorial [G3419], and [G2532] made [G4160] for yourself [G4572] in [G1722] a high [place] [G5308] a memorial [G3419], and [G2532] depicted [G1125] to yourself [G4572] in [G1722] rock [G4073] a dwelling [G4633].
17: look [G2400], indeed [G1211], Boss '[G2962] of Hosts [G4519] will cast out [G1544] and [G2532] will obliterate [such] a man , and [G2532] will remove the [G3588] your apparel [G4749][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] crown [G4735][G1473] your [G1473] the [G3588] honorable [G1741],
18: and [G2532] will toss [G4495] you [G1473] into [G1519] place [G5561] a great [G3173] and [G2532] unmeasured , and [G2532] there [G1563] you will die ; and [G2532] he will establish [G5087] the [G3588] chariot your [G1473] the [G3588] good [G2570] for [G1519] dishonor , and [G2532] the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] your ruler [G1473] for [G1519] trampling .
19: And [G2532] you will be removed from [G1537] the [G3588] your administration [G3622][G1473], and [G2532] from [G1537] the [G3588] your station [G4714][G1473].
20: And [G2532] it will be in [G1722] the [G3588] that day [G2250][G1565], even [G2532] I will call [G2564] the [G3588] my servant [G3816][G1473] Eliakim the [G3588] [son of the [G3588] Helkiah;
21: and [G2532] I will put on [G1746] him [G1473] the [G3588] your apparel [G4749][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] your crown [G4735][G1473] I will give [G1325] to him [G1473]. And [G2532] the [G3588] might [G2904], and [G2532] the [G3588] your administration [G3622][G1473] I will put [G1325] into [G1519] the [G3588] his hands [G5495][G1473]; and [G2532] he will be as [G5613] a father [G3962] to the [G3588] [ones] dwelling [G1774] Jerusalem, and [G2532] to the [G3588] [ones] dwelling [G1774] Judah.
22: And [G2532] I will put [G1325] to him [G1473] the [G3588] key [G2807] of house [G3624] of David upon [G1909] the [G3588] his shoulder [G5606][G1473]. And [G2532] he will open , and [G2532] there will not be [G3756] the [G3588] [one] locking . And [G2532] he will lock [G2808], and [G2532] there will not be [G3756] the [G3588] [one] opening . And [G2532] I will give [G1325] the [G3588] glory [G1391] of David to him [G1473]. And [G2532] he will rule , and [G2532] there will not be [G3756] the [G3588] [one] disputing .
23: And [G2532] I will establish [G2476] him [G1473] as ruler in [G1722] place [G5117] a trustworthy [G4103], and [G2532] he will be for [G1519] a throne [G2362] of glory [G1391] the [G3588] house [G3624] for the [G3588] his father's [G3962][G1473].
24: And [G2532] will be relying [G3982] upon [G1909] 10> him [G1473] every [G3956] honorable one [G1741] in [G1722] the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473], from small [G3397] unto [G2193] great [G3173]; every [G3956] the [G3588] vessel [G4632] the [G3588] small [G3397] from vessels [G4632] of the [G3588] cups . And [G2532] they will be hanging upon him [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] that day [G2250][G1565].
25: Thus [G3592] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962] of Hosts [G4519], will be moved [G2795] the [G3588] man the [G3588] being fixed fast [G4741] in [G1722] place [G5117] a trustworthy [G4103]; and [G2532] will be removed and [G2532] will fall [G4098] and [G2532] will waste away the [G3588] glory [G1391] the [G3588] upon him [G1909][G1473]; for [G3754] Boss '[G2962] spoke [G2980].
