1 Chronicles Chapter 13 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] David consulted [G1011] with [G3326] the [G3588] rulers and [G2532] the [G3588] commanders of thousands [G5506], and [G2532] the [G3588] commanders of hundreds [G1543] -- with every [G3956] leader [G2233].
2: And [G2532] David said [G2036] to all [G3956] the [G3588] assembly [G1577] of Israel, If [G1487] it seems [G1909] good to you [G1473], and [G2532] by [G3844] Boss '[G2962] our God '[G2316][G1473], that he should prosper the way [G2137], [then] we should send to [G4314] the [G3588] our brothers [G1473] the [G3588] being left [G5275] in [G1722] all [G3956] land '[G1093] of Israel, and [G2532] with [G3326] them [G1473] the [G3588] priests [G2409] the [G3588] Levites] [which are] in [G1722] cities [G4172] of their possession [G2697][G1473], that [G2532] they will be gathered together [G4863] to [G4314] us [G1473].
3: And [G2532] we should turn [G1994] the [G3588] ark [G2787] of the [G3588] God '[G2316] of us [G1473] to [G4314] us [G1473], for [G3754] not [G3756] we sought [G2212] it [G1473] from days [G2250] of Saul.
4: And [G2532] said [G2036] all [G3956] the [G3588] assembly [G1577] the [G3588] to do [G4160] so [G3779], for [G3754] [was] upright the [G3588] word [G3056] in [G1722] eyes [G3788] of all [G3956] the [G3588] people [G2992].
5: And [G2532] David assembled the [G3588] all [G3956] Israel, from borders [G3725] of Egypt and [G2532] unto [G2193] entrance [G1529] of Hamath, the [G3588] to carry in [G1533] the [G3588] ark [G2787] of the [G3588] God '[G2316] from [G1537] city [G4172] of Jearim.
6: And [G2532] David went up , and [G2532] all [G3956] Israel into [G1519] Kirjath-jearim, which [G3739] is of the [G3588] Judah, the [G3588] to lead up from there [G1564] the [G3588] ark [G2787] of the [G3588] BOSS God '[G2316][G2962], of the [G3588] [one] sitting [G2521] upon [G1909] cherubim [G5502], of which [G3739] is called upon [G1941] the [G3588] name [G3686] of him [G1473] there [G1563].
7: And [G2532] they placed [G2007] the [G3588] ark [G2787] of the [G3588] God '[G2316] upon [G1909] wagon a new [G2537], from out of [G1537] house [G3624] of Abinadab. And [G2532] Uzza and [G2532] the [G3588] brothers of him [G1473] conveyed ' the [G3588] wagon .
8: And [G2532] David and [G2532] all [G3956] Israel were playing [G3815] before [G1726] the [G3588] God '[G2316] with [G1722] all [G3956] their ability [G1411], and [G2532] with [G1722] songs [G5603], and [G2532] with [G1722] lutes , and [G2532] with [G1722] stringed instruments , and [G2532] with [G1722] tambourines , and [G2532] with [G1722] cymbals [G2950], and [G2532] with [G1722] trumpets [G4536].
9: And [G2532] they came [G2064] unto [G2193] the [G3588] threshing-floor of Chidon. And [G2532] Uzza stretched out [G1614] the [G3588] his hand [G5495][G1473] the [G3588] to hold down [G2722] the [G3588] ark [G2787], for [G3754] turned [G1578] it [G1473] the [G3588] calf [G3448].
10: And [G2532] BOSS was enraged [G2373][G2962] in anger [G3709] against [G1909] Uzza, and [G2532] he struck [G3960] him [G1473] there [G1563], on account of [G1223] the [G3588] stretching out [G1614] of the [G3588] his hand [G5495][G1473] upon [G1909] the [G3588] ark [G2787]. And [G2532] he died there [G1563] before the [G3588] God '[G2316].
11: And [G2532] David was depressed , that [G3754] BOSS cut [G2962] a severance with [G1722] Uzza. And [G2532] he called [G2564] the [G3588] that place [G5117][G1565] -- Severance of Oza until [G2193] the [G3588] this day [G2250][G3778].
12: And [G2532] David feared [G5399] the [G3588] God '[G2316] in [G1722] the [G3588] that day [G2250][G1565], saying [G3004], How [G4459] will I carry in [G1533] to [G4314] myself [G1683] the [G3588] ark [G2787] of the [G3588] God '[G2316]?
13: And [G2532] did not [G3756] return David] the [G3588] ark [G2787] to [G4314] himself [G1438] into [G1519] the [G3588] city [G4172] of David, but [G2532] he turned it aside [G1578][G1473] into [G1519] house [G3624] of Obed Edom the [G3588] Gittite.
14: And [G2532] sat down [G2523] the [G3588] ark [G2787] of the [G3588] God '[G2316] in [G1722] household [G3624] of Obed Edom in [G1722] the [G3588] his house [G3624][G1473] months [G3376] three [G5140]. And [G2532] blessed [G2127] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] house [G3624] of Obed Edom, and [G2532] all [G3956] of the [G3588] of him '[G1473].
