1: And [G2532] after [G3326] these [things] [G3778] I saw [G1492] another word-conveyer (messenger) ' descending [G2597] from [G1537] the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772], having [G2192] authority [G1849] great [G3173], and [G2532] the [G3588] land '[G1093] was enlightened [G5461] from [G1537] the [G3588] glory [G1391] of him [G1473].
2: And [G2532] he cried out [G2896] in [G1722] strength [G2478] of voice [G5456], saying [G3004], Is fallen [G4098], is fallen [G4098], Babylon the [G3588] great [G3173], and [G2532] is become [G1096] home [G2732] of daimons [G1142], and [G2532] a prison [G5438] of every [G3956] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] unclean , and [G2532] a prison [G5438] of every [G3956] bird [G3732] unclean and [G2532] detested [G3404].
3: For [G3754] of [G1537] the [G3588] rage [G2372] of the [G3588] wine [G3631] of the [G3588] her harlotry [G4202][G1473] are given to drink [G4222] all [G3956] the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484]; and [G2532] the [G3588] kings of the [G3588] land '[G1093] with [G3326] her [G1473] committed harlotry [G4203]; and [G2532] the [G3588] merchants [G1713] of the [G3588] land '[G1093] of [G1537] the [G3588] power [G1411] of the [G3588] her indulgence [G4764][G1473] were enriched [G4147].
4: And [G2532] I heard another voice [G5456] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772], saying [G3004], Come forth [G1831] from out of [G1537] her [G1473], the [G3588] my people [G2992][G1473]! that [G2443] you should not [G3361] partake together with [G4790] the [G3588] her sins [G1473]; and [G2532] of [G1537] the [G3588] her calamities [G4127][G1473] that [G2443] you should not [G3361] receive [G2983].
5: For [G3754] cleaved [G2853] her [G1473] the [G3588] sins as far as the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772], and [G2532] remembered [G3421] of her [G1473] the [G3588] God '[G2316] the [G3588] her offences [G1473].
6: Render to her [G1473] as [G5613] also [G2532] she [G1473] rendered to you [G1473], and [G2532] double up [G1363] to her [G1473] double [G1362] according to [G2596] the [G3588] her works [G2041][G1473]! In [G1722] the [G3588] cup [G4221] which [G3739] she mixed [G2767], you mix [G2767] to her [G1473] double [G1362]!
7: So much as [G3745] she glorified [G1392] herself [G1438], and [G2532] lived indulgently [G4763], so for that much [G5118] you give [G1325] to her [G1473] torment and [G2532] mourning [G3997]! For [G3754] in [G1722] the [G3588] her heart [G2588][G1473] she says [G3004] that [G3754], I sit [G2521] a queen , and [G2532] a widow [G5503] I am not [G3756], and [G2532] mourning [G3997] in no way will I see [G1492].
8: On account of [G1223] this [G3778] in [G1722] one [G1520] day [G2250] will come [G2240] the [G3588] her calamities [G4127][G1473] -- death [G2288], and [G2532] mourning [G3997], and [G2532] hunger [G3042]. And [G2532] by [G1722] fire [G4442] she will be incinerated [G2618], for [G3754] [is] strong [G2478] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316], the [G3588] [one] judging [G2919] her [G1473].
9: And [G2532] will weep [G2799] for her [G1473] and [G2532] beat their [chests [G2875] over [G1909] 0> her [G1473] the [G3588] kings of the [G3588] land '[G1093], the [G3588] [ones] with [G3326] her [G1473] committing harlotry [G4203], and [G2532] living indulgently [G4763], whenever [G3752] they should see the [G3588] smoke [G2586] of the [G3588] her burning fire [G4451][G1473],
10: from far off [G3113] standing [G2476] on account of [G1223] the [G3588] fear [G5401] of the [G3588] her torment [G1473], saying [G3004], Woe [G3759], woe [G3759] to the [G3588] city [G4172] the [G3588] [one] great [G3173], Babylon, the [G3588] city [G4172] the [G3588] strong [G2478], for [G3754] in [G1722] one [G1520] hour [G5610] came [G2064] the [G3588] your judgment [G2920][G1473].
11: And [G2532] the [G3588] merchants [G1713] of the [G3588] land '[G1093] will weep [G2799] and [G2532] mourn [G3996] over [G1909] her [G1473], for [G3754] the [G3588]ir merchandise [G1117][G1473] no one [G3762] buys any longer [G3765];
12: merchandise [G1117] of gold [G5557], and [G2532] of silver , and [G2532] stone [G3037] of precious [G5093], and [G2532] of pearl [G3135], and [G2532] of linen [G1040], and [G2532] of purple [goods [G4209], and [G2532] of silk [G4596], and [G2532] of scarlet [goods [G2847], and [G2532] all [G3956] wood [G3586] of thyine [G2367], and [G2532] every [G3956] item [G4632] of ivory [G1661], and [G2532] every [G3956] item [G4632] of [G1537] wood [G3586] most precious [G5093], and [G2532] of brass [G5475], and [G2532] of iron [G4604], and [G2532] of marble [G3139],
13: and [G2532] cinnamon [G2792], and [G2532] incenses [G2368], and [G2532] perfumed liquid [G3464], and [G2532] frankincense [G3030], and [G2532] wine [G3631], and [G2532] olive oil [G1637], and [G2532] fine flour [G4585], and [G2532] grain [G4621], and [G2532] cattle [G2934], and [G2532] sheep [G4263], and [G2532] horses [G2462], and [G2532] coaches [G4480], and [G2532] bodies [G4983], and [G2532] souls [G5590] of men .
14: And [G2532] the [G3588] autumn fruits [G3703] of the [G3588] desire [G1939] of the [G3588] your soul [G5590][G1473] are departed from you [G1473]; and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] lustrous [things] [G3045], and [G2532] the [G3588] bright [things] [G2986] are destroyed from you [G1473], and [G2532] no longer [G3765] in any way will you find [G2147] them [G1473].
15: The [G3588] merchants [G1713] of these [things] [G3778], the [G3588] [ones] who enriched [G4147] from her [G1473], from far off [G3113] will stand [G2476] because of [G1223] the [G3588] fear [G5401] of the [G3588] her torment [G1473], weeping [G2799] and [G2532] mourning [G3996],
16: and [G2532] saying [G3004], Woe [G3759], woe [G3759] to the [G3588] city [G4172] the [G3588] [one] great [G3173], the [G3588] [one] wearing [G4016] fine linen [G1039], and [G2532] purple [G4210], and [G2532] scarlet [G2847], and [G2532] being gilded [G5558] with [G1722] gold [G5557], and [G2532] stone [G3037] precious [G5093], and [G2532] pearls [G3135].
17: For [G3754] in one [G1520] hour [G5610] was made desolate [G2049] the [G3588] so great [G5118] a wealth [G4149]. And [G2532] every [G3956] navigator [G2942], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] upon [G1909] the [G3588] boats [G4143] sailing [G4126], and [G2532] seamen [G3492], and [G2532] as many as [G3745] the [G3588] sea [G2281] work [G2038] from far off [G3113] stood [G2476],
18: and [G2532] crying out [G2896] seeing the [G3588] smoke [G2586] of the [G3588] her burning fire [G4451][G1473], saying [G3004], What [G5100] [is] likened [G3664] to the [G3588] city [G4172] the [G3588] [one] great [G3173]?
19: And [G2532] they threw dirt [G5522] upon [G1909] the [G3588]ir heads [G2776][G1473], and [G2532] cried out [G2896], weeping [G2799] and [G2532] mourning [G3996], and [G2532] saying [G3004], Woe [G3759], woe [G3759] the [G3588] city [G4172] the [G3588] [one] great [G3173], in [G1722] which [G3739] were enriched [G4147] all [G3956] the [G3588] [ones] having [G2192] the [G3588] ships [G4143] in [G1722] the [G3588] sea [G2281] from [G1537] the [G3588] her valuables [G5094][G1473], that [G3754] in one [G1520] hour [G5610] she was made desolate [G2049].
20: Be glad [G2165] over [G1909] her [G1473], O raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772], and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] pure ', and [G2532] the [G3588] sent ones (apostles) ', and [G2532] the [G3588] prophets [G4396]! for [G3754] judged [G2919] the [G3588][G2316] the [G3588] God '[G2316] the [G3588] your case [G2917][G1473] against [G1537] her [G1473].
21: And [G2532] lifted one [G1520] word-conveyer (messenger) ' strong [G2478] a stone [G3037] as [G5613] millstone [G3458] a great [G3173], and [G2532] cast [it in [G1519] the [G3588] sea [G2281], saying [G3004], Thus [G3779] with impulse [G3731] will be thrown Babylon the [G3588] great [G3173] city [G4172], and [G2532] in no way will be found [G2147] any more [G2089].
22: And [G2532] a sound [G5456] of harpists [G2790], and [G2532] musicians [G3451], and [G2532] pipers , and [G2532] trumpeters [G4538], in no way will be heard in [G1722] you [G1473] any more [G2089]; and [G2532] every [G3956] craftsman [G5079] of every [G3956] craft [G5078] in no way will be found [G2147] in [G1722] you [G1473] any more [G2089]; and [G2532] sound [G5456] of a millstone [G3458] in no way will be heard in [G1722] you [G1473] any more [G2089];
23: and [G2532] light [G5457] of a lamp [G3088] in no way will shine [G4316] in [G1722] you [G1473] any more [G2089]; and [G2532] voice [G5456] of groom [G3566] and [G2532] bride [G3565] in no way will be heard in [G1722] you [G1473] any more [G2089]. For [G3754] the [G3588] your merchants [G1713][G1473] were the [G3588] great men [G3175] of the [G3588] land '[G1093]; for [G3754] by [G1722] the [G3588] your sorcery [G5331][G1473] were misled [G4105] all [G3956] the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484].
24: And [G2532] in [G1722] her [G1473] blood of prophets [G4396] and [G2532] pure ' ones was found [G2147], and [G2532] of all [G3956] the [G3588] [ones] being slain [G4969] upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093].
