1: vision [G3706] of Obadiah. Thus [G3592] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] [to the [G3588] Edom. a report I heard from [G3844] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] a summary [G4042] he sent out [G1821] unto [G1519] the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484], [saying], Rise up ! even [G2532] we should rise up [G1817] against [G1909] her [G1473] for [G1519] battle [G4171].
2: look [G2400], very few I have made [G1325] you [G1473] among [G1722] the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484], disgracing you [G1473] exceedingly [G4970].
3: Pride [G5243] of the [G3588] your heart [G2588][G1473] lifted you up [G1869][G1473], encamping [G2681] in [G1722] the [G3588] openings [G3692] of the [G3588] rocks [G4073], exalting [G5312] his dwelling [G2733][G1473], saying [G3004] in [G1722] his heart [G2588][G1473], Who [G5100] will lead me down [G2609][G1473] unto [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093]?
4: If [G1437] you should rise up on high [G3349] as [G5613] an eagle , and [G2532] if [G1437] in the midst of the [G3588] stars you should put [G5087] your nest [G3555][G1473], from there [G1564] I will lead you down [G2609][G1473], says [G3004] Boss '[G2962].
5: If [G1487] thieves [G2812] entered [G1525] to [G4314] you [G1473], or [G2228] robbers [G3027] by night [G3571], where [G4226] would you be thrown away ? Would they not [G3756] have stolen [G2813] the [things] [G3588] fit [G2425] for themselves [G1438]? And [G2532] if [G1487] grape gatherers entered [G1525] to [G4314] you [G1473], would they not [G3756] have left behind [G5275] a gleaning ?
6: How [G4459] was Esau searched out [G1830], and [G2532] forsaken [G2641] the [G3588] his hidden [things] [G2928][G1473]?
7: Unto [G2193] the [G3588] borders [G3725] they sent [G1821] you [G1473]; all [G3956] the [G3588] men of the [G3588] your covenant [G1242][G1473] opposed you [G1473]; they prevailed [G1410] against [G4314] you [G1473]; men peaceable [G1516] with you [G1473] put [G5087] an ambush [G1749] underneath [G5270] you [G1473]. There is no [G3756] understanding [G4907] in [G1722] them [G1473].
8: In [G1722] the [G3588] that day [G2250][G1565], says [G3004] Boss '[G2962], I will destroy wise ones [G4680] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] Edom, and [G2532] understanding [G4907] from [G1537] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] of Esau.
9: And [G2532] will be terrified [G4422] the [G3588] your warriors [G1473], the [G3588] [ones] from [G1537] Teman, so that [G3704] will be removed [G1808] man from [G1537] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] of Esau.
10: Because of [G1223] the [G3588] slaughter [G4967] and [G2532] the [G3588] impiety against [G2596] your brother [G1473] Jacob, will cover [G2572] you [G1473] shame , and [G2532] you will be removed [G1808] into [G1519] the [G3588] age (term) `.
11: From which [G3739] day [G2250] you opposed right opposite , in [G1722] day [G2250] of the capturing by foreigners of his force [G1411][G1473], and [G2532] strangers entered [G1525] into [G1519] his gates [G4439][G1473], and [G2532] over [G1909] Jerusalem they cast lots [G2819], even [G2532] you [G1473] were as [G5613] one [G1520] of [G1537] them [G1473].
12: And [G2532] you should not [G3361] have looked upon [G1896] day [G2250] of your brother [G1473] in [G1722] day [G2250] of strangers ; and [G2532] you should not [G3361] have rejoiced over [G1909] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Judah in [G1722] day [G2250] of their destruction [G1473]; and [G2532] you should not [G3361] have spoken great words in [G1722] day [G2250] of [their] affliction [G2347];
13: nor [G3366] should you have entered [G1525] into [G1519] gates [G4439] of peoples [G2992] in [G1722] day [G2250] of their miseries [G4192][G1473]; and [G2532] you should not [G3361] have looked [G1896], even [G2532] you [G1473], the [G3588] upon their gathering [G4864][G1473] in [G1722] day [G2250] of their ruin [G3639][G1473]; and [G2532] you should not have [G3361] joined in an attack upon [G1909] the [G3588]ir force [G1411][G1473] in [G1722] day [G2250] of their destruction [G1473];
14: nor [G3366] should you have stood [G2186] upon [G1909] the [G3588]ir mountain passes [G1473] to utterly destroy [G1842] the [G3588] [ones] escaping of [G1537] them [G1473]; nor [G3366] should you have closed up [G4788] the [G3588] [ones] fleeing [G5343] from [G1537] them [G1473] in [G1722] day [G2250] of [their] affliction [G2347].
15: For [G1360] [is] near [G1451] the [G3588] day [G2250] [of the] Boss '[G2962] upon [G1909] all [G3956] the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484]. In which [G3739] manner [G5158] you did [G4160], so [G3779] it will be to you [G1473]. the [G3588] Your recompense [G1473] will be recompensed unto [G1519] your head [G2776][G1473].
16: For [G1360] in which [G3739] manner [G5158] you drank [G4095] upon [G1909] the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] the [G3588] my pure '[G1473], will drink [G4095] [so] all [G3956] the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484] wine [G3631]; they will drink [G4095], and [G2532] they will swallow down [G2666], and [G2532] they will be as [G2531] not [G3756] having existed [G5224].
17: But on [G1722] the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] Zion there will be deliverance [G4991], and [G2532] there will be a holy place . And [G2532] will inherit the [G3588] house [G3624] of Jacob] the [G3588] [ones] inheriting them [G1473].
18: And [G2532] will be the [G3588] house [G3624] of Jacob] fire [G4442], and [G2532] the [G3588] house [G3624] of Joseph a flame [G5395], but the [G3588][G1161] house [G3624] of Esau for [G1519] stubble [G2562], and [G2532] they will be burnt [G1572] in [G1519] them [G1473], and [G2532] they will devour [G2719] them [G1473]; and [G2532] there will not be [G3756] a wheat harvest to the [G3588] house [G3624] of Esau; for [G3754] Boss '[G2962] spoke [G2980].
19: And [G2532] will inherit the [G3588] [ones] in [G1722] Negev] the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] of the [G3588] Esau, even [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] [dwelling] in [G1722] the [G3588] Sephela of the [G3588] Philistines . And [G2532] they will inherit the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] of Ephraim, and [G2532] the [G3588] plain of Samaria, and [G2532] Benjamin, and [G2532] the [G3588] [land] of Gilead.
20: And [G2532] the [G3588] displacement [G3350] of the [G3588] this company [G1473] to the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel [will inherit] that the [G3588] of the [G3588] Canaanites, unto [G2193] Zarephath; and [G2532] the [G3588] displacement [G3350] of Jerusalem, unto [G2193] Ephratah, will inherit [G2816] the [G3588] cities [G4172] of the [G3588] Negev.
21: And [G2532] will go up the ones being rescued from [G1537] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] Zion the [G3588] to take vengeance on [G1556] the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] of Esau; and [G2532] will be to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] government '.
