Luke Chapter 17 - | Early Church Bible

1: And he said [G2036][G1161] to [G4314] the [G3588] trainees '[G3101], It is inadmissible for the [G3588] not [G3361] to come [G2064] the [G3588] obstacles [G4625]; but woe [to him [G3759][G1161] through [G1223] whom [G3739] they come [G2064].
2: It would be equitable [G3081] for him [G1473] if [G1487] a millstone [G3458] of a donkey [G3684] was encompassed [G4029] around [G4012] the [G3588] his neck [G5137][G1473], and [G2532] he be tossed [G4495] into [G1519] the [G3588] sea [G2281], than [G2228] that [G2443] he should cause to stumble [G4624] one [G1520] of the [G3588]se small [ones [G3397][G3778].
3: Take heed [G4337] to yourselves [G1438]! And if [G1437][G1161] should sin against [G1519] you [G1473] the [G3588] your brother [G1473], reproach [G2008] him [G1473]! And [G2532] if [G1437] he should repent [G3340], forgive him [G1473]!
4: And [G2532] if [G1437] seven times [G2034] of the [G3588] day [G2250] he should sin against [G1519] you [G1473], and [G2532] seven times [G2034] of the [G3588] day [G2250] should turn [G1994], saying [G3004], I repent [G3340], you will forgive him [G1473].
5: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] sent ones (apostles) ' to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], Add [G4369] to us [G1473] trust '[G4102]!
6: said [G2036] And [G1161] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], If [G1487] you have [G2192] trust '[G4102] as [G5613] a kernel [G2848] of mustard [G4615], you would have said [G3004] [to the [G3588] this sycamine tree [G4807][G3778], Be rooted out [G1610], and [G2532] be planted [G5452] in [G1722] the [G3588] sea [G2281]! and [G2532] it would have obeyed [G5219] you [G1473].
7: But who [G5100][G1161] of [G1537] you [G1473] a servant [G1401] having [G2192] plowing or [G2228] tending [G4165], who [G3739] entering [G1525] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] field , will say [G2046] immediately [G2112], [in his] having arrived [G3928], Recline [to eat !
8: But will he not [G3780] say [G2046] to him [G1473], Prepare [G2090] something [G5100]! I should have supper [G1172]; and [G2532] girding yourself [G4024] serve [G1247] me [G1473]! until [G2193] I should have eaten [G2068] and [G2532] drunk [G4095], and [G2532] after [G3326] these [things] [G3778] will eat [G2068] and [G2532] drink [G4095] you [G1473].
9: will [G3361] favor [G5484] he have [G2192] the [G3588] with that servant [G1401][G1565] because [G3754] he did [G4160] the [things] [G3588] being ordered [G1299] to him [G1473]? I think not [G3756][G1380].
10: Thus [G3779] also [G2532] you [G1473], whenever [G3752] you should have done [G4160] all [G3956] the [things] [G3588] set in order [G1299] for you [G1473], say [G3004] that [G3754], servants [G1401] useless We are ; for [G3754] what [G3739] we ought [G3784] to do [G4160] we have done [G4160].
11: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] in [G1722] the [G3588] his going [G4198][G1473] unto [G1519] Jerusalem, and [G2532] he [G1473] went [G1330] through [G1223] the middle [G3319] of Samaria and [G2532] Galilee.
12: And [G2532] of his entering [G1525][G1473] into [G1519] a certain [G5100] town [G2968], there met with him [G1473] ten [G1176] leprous [G3015] men , which [G3739] stood [G2476] at a distance [G4207].
13: And [G2532] they [G1473] lifted [their voice [G5456], saying [G3004], Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), boss [G1988], show compassion [G1653] on us [G1473]!
14: And [G2532] looking [at] [G1492], he said [G2036] to them [G1473], Having gone [G4198], display [G1925] yourselves [G1438] to the [G3588] priests [G2409]! And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] in [G1722] the [G3588]ir going away [G5217][G1473], they were cleansed [G2511].
15: And one [G1520][G1161] of [G1537] them [G1473], looking [at] [G1492] that [G3754] he was healed [G2390], returned [G5290] with [G3326] voice [G5456] a great [G3173] glorifying [G1392] the [G3588] God '[G2316],
16: and [G2532] he fell [G4098] upon [G1909] [his] face [G4383] by [G3844] the [G3588] feet [G4228] of him [G1473] giving thanks [G2168] to him [G1473]; and [G2532] he [G1473] was a Samaritan.
17: And responding [G1161] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) said [G2036], Were there not [G3780] the [G3588] ten [G1176] cleansed [G2511]; [are] the [G3588] but [G1161] nine [G1767] where [G4226]?
18: Were there not [G3756] found [any [G2147] returning [G5290] to give [G1325] glory [G1391] the [G3588] to God '[G2316], except [G1508] the [G3588] this foreigner [G3778]?
19: And [G2532] he said [G2036] to him [G1473], Having risen up , go [G4198]! the [G3588] trust '[G4102] of yours [G1473] has delivered [G4982] you [G1473].
20: And having been asked [G1905][G1161] by [G5259] the [G3588] Pharisees [G5330] ("Separate Ones" [H6504]), When [G4219] comes [G2064] the [G3588] government ' of the [G3588] God '[G2316]? he answered them [G1473] and [G2532] said [G2036], comes not [G3756][G2064] the [G3588] government ' of the [G3588] God '[G2316] with [G3326] observation [G3907].
21: Nor [G3761] will they say [G2046], look [G2400], here [G5602], or [G2228], look [G2400], there [G1563]. For look [G2400][G1063], the [G3588] government ' of the [G3588] God '[G2316] within [G1787] you [G1473] is .
22: And he said [G2036][G1161] to [G4314] the [G3588] trainees '[G3101], There will come [G2064] days [G2250] when [G3753] you will desire [G1937] one [G1520] of the [G3588] days [G2250] of the [G3588] son [G5207] of the [G3588] man to see [G1492], and [G2532] you will not [G3756] see [it [G3708].
23: And [G2532] they will say [G2046] to you [G1473], look [G2400], here [G5602], or [G2228], look [G2400], there [G1563]; do not [G3361] go forth nor [G3366] pursue [G1377]!
24: For as [G5618][G1063] the [G3588] lightning , the [G3588] [one] flashing from out of [G1537] the [one] place the [G3588] under [G5259] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772], unto [G1519] the [other place the [G3588] under [G5259] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772] radiates [G2989]; so [G3779] it will be also [G2532] the [G3588] son [G5207] of the [G3588] man in [G1722] the [G3588] his day [G2250][G1473].
25: But first [G4412][G1161] it is necessary [G1163] for him [G1473] much [G4183] to suffer [G3958], and [G2532] to be rejected by the [G3588] this generation [G1074][G3778].
26: And [G2532] as [G2531] it happened [G1096] in [G1722] the [G3588] days [G2250] of Noah, so [G3779] it will be also [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] days [G2250] of the [G3588] son [G5207] of the [G3588] man .
27: They ate [G2068], they drank [G4095], they married [G1060], they gave in marriage [G1547], as far as which [G3739] day [G2250] Noah entered [G1525] into [G1519] the [G3588] ark [G2787], and [G2532] came [G2064] the [G3588] flood [G2627] and [G2532] destroyed all .
28: In like manner [G3668] also [G2532] as [G5613] it happened [G1096] in [G1722] the [G3588] days [G2250] of Lot; they ate [G2068], they drank [G4095], they were buying , they were selling [G4453], they were planting [G5452], they were building [G3618];
29: but in which [G3739][G1161] day [G2250] Lot went forth [G1831] from Sodom, it rained [G1026] fire [G4442] and [G2532] sulphur [G2303] from raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772], and [G2532] it destroyed all .
30: According to [G2596] these [things] [G3778] it will be in which [G3739] day [G2250] the [G3588] son [G5207] of the [G3588] man is revealed .
31: In [G1722] that [G1565] the [G3588] day [G2250] the one who [G3739] will be upon [G1909] the [G3588] roof [G1430], and [G2532] the [G3588] his items [G4632] in [G1722] the [G3588] house [G3614], let him not [G3361] go down [G2597] to take them [G1473]! And [G2532] the [G3588] [one] in [G1722] the [G3588] field , in like manner [G3668], let him not [G3361] return [G1994] to [G1519] the [things] [G3588] behind [G3694]!
32: Remember [G3421] the [G3588] Lot's wife [G1135]!
33: Who [G3739] ever [G1437] should seek [G2212] the [G3588] his soul [G5590][G1473] to preserve [G4982] will lose it [G1473]; and [G2532] who [G3739] ever [G1437] should lose it [G1473] brings it forth alive [G2225][G1473].
34: I say [G3004] to you [G1473], In this [G3778] the [G3588] night [G3571] there will be two [G1417] upon [G1909] bed [G2825] one [G1520]; the [G3588] [one] [G1520] will be taken [G3880], and [G2532] the [G3588] other [G2087] will be left .
35: Two [women [G1417] will be grinding together [G1909] the [G3588][G1473]; one [G1520] will be taken [G3880], and [G2532] the [G3588] other [G2087] will be left .
36: Two [men [G1417] will be in [G1722] the [G3588] field ; the [G3588] [one] [G1520] will be taken [G3880] and [G2532] the [G3588] other [G2087] will be left .
37: And [G2532] responding they say [G3004] to him [G1473], Where [G4226], O Boss '[G2962]? And the [G3588][G1161] he said [G2036] to them [G1473], Where [G3699] the [G3588] body [G4983], there [G1563] will be gathered [G4863] the [G3588] eagles .
