Judges Chapter 12 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] gathered together [G4863] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Ephraim], and [G2532] they came [G2064] to [G1519] Zaphon, and [G2532] said [G2036] to [G4314] Jephthah, Why [G5100] [is it] that [G3754] you went [G4198] to wage war [G4170] against [G4314] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Ammon, and [G2532] us [G1473] you did not [G3756] call [G2564] to go [G4198] with [G3326] you [G1473]? the [G3588] your house [G3624][G1473] We will burn [G1714] over [G1909] you [G1473] with [G1722] fire [G4442].
2: And [G2532] Jephthah said [G2036] to [G4314] them [G1473], a man pleading I was [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] people [G2992] of me [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Ammon humbled [G5013] me [G1473] exceedingly [G4970], and [G2532] I yelled out to [G4314] you [G1473], and [G2532] you did not [G3756] deliver [G4982] me [G1473] from out of [G1537] their hand [G5495][G1473].
3: And [G2532] I saw [G1492] that [G3754] [there] was no [G3756] the [G3588] [one] delivering [G4982], and [G2532] I put [G5087] the [G3588] life [G5590] of me [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] my hand [G5495][G1473], and [G2532] I passed over [G1224] to [G4314] sons [G5207] of Ammon, and [G2532] delivered them over [G3860][G1473] Boss '[G2962] into [G1722] my hand [G5495][G1473]. And [G2532] why did [G2444] you go up against [G4314] me [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] this day [G2250][G3778] to wage war [G4170] against [G1722] me [G1473]?
4: And [G2532] Jephthah gathered together [G4867] all [G3956] the [G3588] men of Gilead, and [G2532] waged war [G4170] [against the [G3588] Ephraim. And [G2532] struck [G3960] men of Gilead the [G3588] Ephraim; for [G3754] said [G2036] the [G3588] men coming through safe [G1295] of the [G3588] Ephraim], You [G1473] [are] Gilead in [G1722] midst [G3319] of the [G3588] Ephraim, and [G2532] in [G1722] midst [G3319] of the [G3588] Manasseh.
5: And [G2532] Gilead was first to take for the [G3588]d of the [G3588] Jordan the [G3588] of Ephraim. And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] when [G3753] said [G2036] to them [G1473] the [G3588] [ones] coming through safe [G1295] of the [G3588] Ephraim], We should pass over [G1224] indeed [G1211]! That [G2532] said [G2036] to them [G1473] the [G3588] men of Gilead], not [G3956] of [G1537] the [G3588] Ephraim [Are] you [G1473]? And [G2532] they said [G2036], We are not [G3756].
6: Then [G2532] they said [G2036] to them [G1473], Say [G2036] indeed [G1211], Stachys [G4719]! And [G2532] [if] he was not [G3756] straightly [able [G2720] the [G3588] to speak [G2980] thus [G3779], then [G2532] they would take hold of [G1949] them [G1473], and [G2532] slay [G4969] them [G1473] at [G1909] for the [G3588]d of the [G3588] Jordan. And [G2532] they that fell [G4098] from [G1537] Ephraim in [G1722] the [G3588] that time [G2540][G1565] [were] forty [G5062] and [G2532] two [G1417] thousand [G5505].
7: And [G2532] Jephthah judged [G2919] the [G3588] Israel six [G1803] years [G2094]. Then [G2532] died Jephthah the [G3588] Gileadite], and [G2532] he was entombed [G2290] in [G1722] his city [G4172][G1473] Gilead.
8: And [G2532] judged [G2919] after [G3326] him [G1473] the [G3588] Israel Ibzan of [G1537] Beth-lehem].
9: And [G2532] there were [G1096] to him [G1473] thirty [G5144] sons [G5207], and [G2532] thirty [G5144] daughters [G2364] the [G3588] being sent [G1821] out [G1854], and [G2532] thirty [G5144] wives [G1135] he brought in [G1521] for the [G3588] his sons [G5207][G1473] from outside [G1855]. And [G2532] he judged [G2919] the [G3588] Israel seven [G2033] years [G2094].
10: And [G2532] Ibzan died , and [G2532] he was entombed [G2290] in [G1722] Beth-lehem.
11: And [G2532] judged [G2919] after [G3326] him [G1473] the [G3588] Israel Elon the [G3588] Zebulunite], and [G2532] he judged [G2919] the [G3588] Israel ten [G1176] years [G2094].
12: And [G2532] died Elon the [G3588] Zebulunite], and [G2532] was entombed [G2290] in [G1722] Aijalon in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Zebulun.
13: And [G2532] judged [G2919] after [G3326] him [G1473] the [G3588] Israel Abdon son [G5207] of Hillel the [G3588] Pirathonite].
14: And [G2532] there were [G1096] to him [G1473] forty [G5062] sons [G5207], and [G2532] thirty [G5144] sons [G5207] of the [G3588] his sons [G5207][G1473] being mounted [G1910] upon [G1909] seventy [G1440] foals [G4454]. And [G2532] he judged [G2919] the [G3588] Israel eight [G3638] years [G2094].
15: And [G2532] died Abdon son [G5207] of Hillel the [G3588] Pirathonite], and [G2532] he was entombed [G2290] in [G1722] Pirathon in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Ephraim, in [G1722] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] [of the [G3588] Amalek.
