Isaiah Chapter 44 - | Early Church Bible

1: But now [G3568][G1161] hear ! O Jacob the [G3588] my child [G3816][G1473], and [G2532] O Israel, whom [G3739] I chose [G1586].
2: Thus [G3779] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316], the [G3588] [one] creating [G2936] you [G1473], and [G2532] shaping [G4111] you [G1473] from [G1537] belly [G2836]. You will still [G2089] be helped . Do not [G3361] fear [G5399]! my servant [G3816][G1473] O Jacob], and [G2532] the [G3588] [one] being loved , Israel whom [G3739] I chose [G1586].
3: For [G3754] I [G1473] will give [G1325] water [G5204] for [G1722] thirst to the [G3588] [ones] going [G4198] in [G1722] a waterless [place] . I will place [G2007] the [G3588] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] of me [G1473] upon [G1909] the [G3588] your seed [G4690][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] my blessings [G2129][G1473] upon [G1909] the [G3588] children [G5043] of you [G1473].
4: And [G2532] they will rise up as [G5613] in the midst of water [G5204] grass [G5528], and [G2532] as [G5613] willows upon [G1909] flowing by [G3901] water [G5204].
5: This one [G3778] will say [G2046] the [G3588] I am of God '[G2316]. And [G2532] this one [G3778] will call himself by [G1909] the [G3588] name [G3686] of Jacob. And [G2532] another [G2087] will inscribe [G1924] with his hand [G5495][G1473], the [G3588] I am of God '[G2316]. And [G2532] by [G1909] the [G3588] name [G3686] Israel he will call himself .
6: Thus [G3779] says [G3004] the [G3588] God '[G2316], the [G3588] king of Israel, and [G2532] the [G3588] [one] rescuing [G4506] him [G1473] -- God '[G2316] of Hosts [G4519]. I [am [G1473] first [G4413], and [G2532] I [am [G1473] after [G3326] these [things] [G3778]; besides [G4133] me [G1473] there is no [G3756] God '[G2316].
7: Who [is [G5100] as [G5618] I [G1473]? Let him stand [G2476], and [G2532] call [G2564], and [G2532] announce , and [G2532] prepare [G2090] for me [G1473] from which [time] [G3739] I made [G4160] man into [G1519] the [G3588] age (term) `! And [G2532] the [things] [G3588] coming [G1904] before [G4253] the [G3588] [their] coming [to pass [G2064] let them announce to you [G1473]!
8: Do not [G3361] cover up yourselves [G3871], nor [G3366] wander [G4105]! [Have] you not [G3756] from beginning given ear [G1801], and [G2532] I reported [it to you [G1473]? witnesses [G3144] You [G1473] are if [G1487] there is a God '[G2316] besides [G4133] me [G1473].
9: And [G2532] they were not hearkening [G3756] then [G5119], the [G3588] [ones] shaping [G4111] and [G2532] the [G3588] carving all [G3956] vain [idols [G3152], doing [G4160] the [G3588]ir wishes [G1473] which [G3739] do not [G3756] benefit [G5623] them [G1473]. But [G2532] their own witnesses [G3144][G1473] they are . They will not see [G3756][G3708], and [G2532] they will not know [G3756][G1097], that [G2443] they should be ashamed -- he who [G5100] shapes [G4111] mighty [G2478] and [G2532] a carved molten casting for [G1519] unprofitable [things] . Look [G2400], all [G3956] the [G3588] [ones] partaking [G2841] with him [G1473] will be ashamed --
10: the [ones] [G3588] shaping [G4111] a god [G2316], and [G2532] all ones carving [G3956] unprofitable [things] .
11: And [G2532] all [G3956] from where [G3606] they came from [G1096] were dried up [G3583]. Yes [G2532], deaf-mutes [G2974] off men let be brought together [G4863] all [G3956], and [G2532] let them stand [G2476] together , and [G2532] let them feel remorse [G1788], and [G2532] let them be ashamed together !
12: For [G3754] sharpens fabricator [G5045] iron [tool [G4604]. With a hammer he works [G2038] it [G1473] in [G1722] coals , and [G2532] with [G1722] a drill he sets [G2476] it [G1473]. And [G2532] he works [G2038] it [G1473] with [G1722] the [G3588] arm [G1023] of the [G3588] strength [G2479] of him [G1473]. And [G2532] he will hunger [G3983] and [G2532] be weak , and [G2532] in no way will he drink [G4095] water [G5204].
13: having chosen [G1586] fabricator [G5045] [a piece of] wood [G3586] sets [G2476] it [G1473] with [G1722] a measure [G3358], and [G2532] forms [G3445] it [G1473] with [G1722] a scraper . He made [G4160] it [G1473] with [G1722] a carpenter's square , and [G2532] with [G1722] glue he composes it [G1473]. And [G2532] he made [G4160] it [G1473] as [G5613] appearance [G3444] of a man , and [G2532] as [G5613] beauty of man he sets [G2476] it [G1473] in [G1722] a niche ;
14: in which [G3739] he fells [G2875] for himself [G1438] cedars [G2748], and [G2532] he takes [G2983] holm oak and [G2532] oak ; and [G2532] he strengthened for himself [G1473] tree [G3586] from [G1537] the [G3588] grove which [G3739] BOSS planted [G5452][G2962] -- a pine ; and [G2532] rain [G5205] lengthened it [G3373],
15: that [G2443] it might be [for] men to [G1519] burn [G2740]. And [G2532] taking [G2983] off it [G1473] he warms himself [G2328], and [G2532] in burning [G2545] they bake bread [loaves upon [G1909] it [G1473]; and [with] the [G3588][G1161] remaining [G3062] he works out [G2038] gods '[G2316], and [G2532] does obeisance [G4352] to them [G1473]. He made [G4160] it [G1473] a carved [idol , and [G2532] he bends [G2578] to them [G1473];
16: of which [G3739] the [G3588] half of it [G2255][G1473] he incinerates [G2618] in [G1722] fire [G4442], and [G2532] upon [G1909] the [G3588] half of it [G2255] meat [G2907] he ate [G2068] -- roasting he roasted a roast [G3702], and [G2532] he was filled up [G1705]. And [G2532] heating [himself [G2328] he said [G2036], It is agreeable to me [G1473], for [G3754] I was heated [G2328], and [G2532] I looked [at] [G1492] a fire [G4442].
17: And the [G3588][G1161] rest [G3062] he makes [G4160] into [G1519] god [G2316] a carved ; he bends [G2578] to it [G1473] and [G2532] does obeisance [G4352], and [G2532] prays [to it [G4336], saying [G3004], Deliver [G1807] me [G1473], for [G3754] my god [G2316][G1473] your are [G1473]!
18: They do not [G3756] know [G1097] to think [G5426], for [G3754] they were blurred the [G3588] to see the [G3588] with their eyes [G3788][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] to comprehend [G3539] [with] the [G3588]ir heart [G2588][G1473].
19: And [G2532] he considered not [G3756][G3049] the [G3588] in his soul [G5590], nor [G3761] knew [G1097] the [G3588] in intellect [G5428] that [G3754] the [G3588] half [G2255] of it [G1473] he incinerated [G2618] by [G1722] fire [G4442], and [G2532] baked upon [G1909] the [G3588] its coals [G1473] bread [loaves , and [G2532] roasting meat [G2907] ate [G2068]; and [G2532] the [G3588] rest [G3062] of it [G1473] into [G1519] an abomination he made [G4160]. And [G2532] they do obeisance to [G4352] it [G1473].
20: Know [G1097] that [G3754] [is] ashes [G4700] the [G3588]ir heart [G2588][G1473]! and [G2532] they err [G4105], and [G2532] no one [G3762] is able [G1410] to rescue [G1807] the [G3588] his soul [G5590][G1473]. Look [at] [G1492]! you will not [G3756] say [G2046] that [G3754], [Is there] a lie [G5579] in [G1722] the [G3588] my right hand [G1188][G1473]?
21: Remember [G3403] these [things] [G3778], O Jacob and [G2532] Israel! for [G3754] my servant [G3816][G1473] are you [G1473]; I shaped [G4111] you [G1473] [to be] my servant [G3816][G1473]. And [G2532] you [G1473], O Israel, do not [G3361] forget [G1950] me [G1473]!
22: look [G2400], I wiped away as [G5613] a cloud [G3507] the [G3588] your lawless deeds [G1473], and [G2532] as [G5613] dimness [G1105] the [G3588] your sin [G1473]. Turn [G1994] to [G4314] me [G1473]! and [G2532] I will ransom [G3084] you [G1473].
23: Be glad [G2165], O raised-places-above (skies) '[G3772]! for [G3754] showed compassion [G1653] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of the [G3588] Israel]. Trump [G4537], O the [G3588] foundations [G2310] of the [G3588] land '[G1093]! Yell out , O raised-places (mountains) '[G3735] in gladness [G2167], O the [G3588] hills [G1015], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] trees [G3586] the [G3588] in [G1722] them [G1473]! for [G3754] ransomed [G3084] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] Jacob, and [G2532] Israel will be glorified [G1392].
24: Thus [G3779] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962], the [G3588] [one] ransoming [G3084] you [G1473], and [G2532] one shaping [G4111] you [G1473] from [G1537] belly [G2836], I [am [G1473] Boss '[G2962], the [G3588] [one] completing [G4931] all [things] [G3956]. I stretched out [G1614] the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772] alone [G3441], and [G2532] solidified [G4732] the [G3588] land '[G1093].
25: Who [G5100] other [G2087] will efface signs [G4592] of the ones who deliver oracles , and [G2532] divinations from heart [G2588]; to turn intelligent ones [G5429] unto [G1519] the [G3588] rear [G3694], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir counsel [G1012][G1473] being moronish [G3471];
26: and [G2532] establishing [G2476] discourse [G4487] of his servant [G3816][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] counsel [G1012] of the [G3588] his word-conveyers (messengers) '[G1473] verifying ; the [G3588] [one] saying [G3004] the [G3588] to Jerusalem, You will be inhabited [G2730]; and [G2532] to the [G3588] cities [G4172] of the [G3588] Judea, You will be built [G3618], and [G2532] the [G3588] her desolate [places [G2048][G1473] I will raise up .
27: the [one] [G3588] saying [G3004] to the [G3588] deep , You will be made desolate [G2049], and [G2532] the [G3588] your rivers [G4215][G1473] I will dry up [G3583].
28: the [one] [G3588] telling [G3004] Cyrus ["Boss" [G2962], Think [G5426], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] my wants [G2307][G1473] he will do [G4160]; the [G3588] [one] saying [G3004] to Jerusalem, You will be built [G3618], and [G2532] the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] my pure ' I will lay the foundation [G2311].
