Deuteronomy Chapter 8 - | Early Church Bible

1: All [G3956] the [G3588] commandments [G1785] which [G3739] I [G1473] give charge [G1781] to you [G1473] today [G4594] you will guard [G5442] to do [G4160], that [G2443] you should live [G2198] and [G2532] manifoldly multiply , and [G2532] should enter [G1525] and [G2532] should inherit [G2816] the [G3588] land '[G1093] which [G3739] swore by an oath [G3660] Boss '[G2962] [to the [G3588] your fathers [G3962][G1473].
2: And [G2532] you will remember [G3403] the whole [G3956] the [G3588] journey [G3598] which [G3739] conveyed ' you [G1473] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] your God '[G2316][G1473] this [G3778] fortieth year [G2094] in [G1722] the [G3588] wilderness [G2048], how [G3704] he should afflict [G2559] you [G1473], and [G2532] should test [G3985] you [G1473], and [G2532] should determine [G1231] the [things] [G3588] in [G1722] the [G3588] your heart [G2588][G1473], if [G1487] you will guard [G5442] the [G3588] commandments [G1785] of him [G1473] or [G2228] not [G3756].
3: And [G2532] he afflicted [G2559] you [G1473], and [G2532] caused you to hunger [G1473], and [G2532] fed [G5595] you [G1473] the [G3588] manna [G3131] which [G3739] had not [G3756] known [G1492] the [G3588] your fathers [G3962][G1473]; that [G2443] he should announce to you [G1473] that [G3754], not [G3756] by [G1909] bread alone [G3441] will live [G2198] the [G3588] A man ; but by [G1909] every [G3956] word [G4487] the [G3588] going forth [G1607] through [G1223] mouth [G4750] of God '[G2316] will live [G2198] the [G3588] a man .
4: the [G3588] Your garments [G2440][G1473] did not [G3756] grow old [G3822] from you [G1473]; the [G3588] your feet [G4228][G1473] were not [G3756] calloused -- look [G2400], for forty [G5062] years [G2094].
5: And [G2532] you will know [G1097] in the [G3588] your heart [G2588][G1473], that [G3754] as [G5613] if any [G1536] man should correct [G3811] the [G3588] son [G5207] of him [G1473], so [G3779] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473] corrects [G3811] you [G1473].
6: And [G2532] you will guard [G5442] the [G3588] commandments [G1785] of Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473], to go [G4198] in [G1722] the [G3588] his ways [G3598][G1473], and [G2532] to fear [G5399] him [G1473].
7: for the [G3588] [G1063] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473] will bring [G1521] you [G1473] into [G1519] a land '[G1093] good and [G2532] abundant [G4183], of which [are [G3739] rushing streams [G5493] of waters [G5204], and [G2532] springs [G4077] of deeps going forth [G1607] through [G1223] the [G3588] plains , and [G2532] through [G1223] the [G3588] raised-places (mountains) '[G3735].
8: A land '[G1093] of wheat , and [G2532] barley [G2915], grapevines , fig-trees [G4808], pomegranates ; a land '[G1093] of olive [G1636] oil [G1637] and [G2532] honey [G3192].
9: A land '[G1093] upon [G1909] which [G3739] without [G3756][G3326] poorness [G4432] you will eat [G2068] the [G3588] your bread [G1473], and [G2532] you will not be in want [G3756] upon [G1909] it [G1473]. A land '[G1093] of which [G3739] the [G3588] its stones [G3037][G1473] [are] iron [G4604], and [G2532] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] its raised-places (mountains) '[G3735][G1473] you will mine brass [G5475].
10: And [G2532] you will eat [G2068] and [G2532] will be filled up [G1705], and [G2532] will bless [G2127] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473] upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093] the [G3588] good of which [G3739] he has given [G1325] to you [G1473].
11: Take heed [G4337] to yourself [G4572]! that you should not [G3361] forget [G1950] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473], so as to not the [G3588][G3361] guard [G5442] the [G3588] commandments [G1785] of him [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] his judgments [G2917][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] his ordinances [G1345][G1473], as many as [G3745] I [G1473] give charge [G1781] to you [G1473] today [G4594];
12: lest [G3361] having eaten [G2068], and [G2532] being filled up [G1705], and [G2532] houses [G3614] good [G2570] having built [G3618], and [G2532] dwelling [G2730] in [G1722] them [G1473],
13: and [G2532] the [G3588] your oxen [G1016][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] your sheep [G4263][G1473] having been multiplied [G4129] to you [G1473], [and] silver and [G2532] gold [G5553] having been multiplied [G4129] to you [G1473], and [G2532] all [G3956] as much as [G3745] to you [G1473] will be multiplying [G4129],
14: you should be raised up high [G5312] in the [G3588] your heart [G2588][G1473], and [G2532] should forget [G1950] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473], the [G3588] [one] leading [G1806] you [G1473] from [G1537] land '[G1093] of Egypt, from [G1537] house [G3624] of slavery [G1397],
15: the [one] [G3588] conveying ' you [G1473] through [G1223] the [G3588] wilderness [G2048] the [G3588] great [G3173] and [G2532] the [G3588] dreadful [G5398], that one [G1565] of which [is [G3739] serpent [G3789] biting [G1143], and [G2532] scorpion [G4651], and [G2532] thirst , of which [G3739] no [G3756] there was water [G5204]; the [G3588] [one] leading [G1806] to you [G1473] from out of [G1537] rock [G4073] chiseled a spring [G4077] of water [G5204];
16: the [one] [G3588] feeding [G5595] you [G1473] the [G3588] manna [G3131] in [G1722] the [G3588] wilderness [G2048], which [G3739] had not [G3756] known [G1492] you [G1473], and [G2532] did not [G3756] know [G1492] the [G3588] your fathers [G3962][G1473]; that [G2443] he should afflict [G2559] you [G1473], and [G2532] that [G2443] he should put you to the test [G1598][G1473], and [G2532] good [G2095] unto you [G1473] do [G4160] upon [G1909] last [G2078] of the [G3588] your days [G2250][G1473];
17: and [G2532] lest [G3361] you should say [G2036] in [G1722] the [G3588] your heart [G2588][G1473], the [G3588] My strength [G2479][G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] might [G2904] of the [G3588] my hand [G5495][G1473] produced [G4160] to me [G1473] the [G3588] ability [G1411] the [G3588] this great [G3173][G3778].
18: And [G2532] you will remember [G3403] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473], that [G3754] he [G1473] gives to you [G1473][G1325] strength [G2479] the [G3588] to produce [G4160] ability [G1411], that [G2443] he should establish [G2476] the [G3588] his covenant [G1242][G1473] which [G3739] he swore by an oath [G3660] to the [G3588] your fathers [G3962][G1473] as [G5613] today [G4594].
19: And [G2532] it will be if [G1437] in forgetfulness [G3024] you should forget [G1950] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473], and [G2532] should go [G4198] after [G3694] gods '[G2316] other [G2087], and [G2532] should serve [G3000] to them [G1473], and [G2532] should do obeisance to [G4352] them [G1473], I testify [G1263] to you [G1473] today [G4594] [on the [G3588] both [G5037] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772] and [G2532] the [G3588] land '[G1093] that [G3754] by destruction you will be destroyed .
20: As [G2505] also [G2532] the [G3588] remaining [G3062] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484], as many as [G3745] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] destroys before [G4253] face [G4383] of you [G1473], so [G3779] will you be destroyed ; because you did not [G3756] hearken to the [G3588] voice [G5456] of Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473].
