1 Kings Chapter 19 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] Ahab announced the [G3588] to Jezebel all [G3956] as much as [G3745] Elijah did [G4160], and [G2532] as [G5613] to kill the [G3588] prophets [G4396] by [G1722] broadsword [G4501].
2: And [G2532] Jezebel sent to [G4314] Elijah, and [G2532] said [G2036], Thus [G3592] may do [G4160] to me [G1473] the [G3588] gods '[G2316], and [G2532] thus [G3592] may they add [G4369], that [G3754] this [G3778] the [G3588] hour [G5610] tomorrow I will put [G5087] the [G3588] your life [G5590][G1473] as [G2531] life [G5590] of one [G1520][G1537] of them [G1473].
3: And [G2532] Elijah feared [G5399], and [G2532] rose up , and [G2532] went forth for [G2596] the [G3588] his life [G5590][G1473]. And [G2532] he came [G2064] into [G1519] Beersheba the [G3588] of Judah. And [G2532] he left the [G3588] his servant-lad [G3808][G1473] there [G1563].
4: And [G2532] he [G1473] went [G4198] by [G1722] the [G3588] wilderness [G2048] way [G3598] a day [G2250]. And [G2532] came [G2064] and [G2532] sat down [G2523] underneath [G5270] a broom shrub , and [G2532] he asked for the [G3588] his life [G5590][G1473] to die . And [G2532] he said [G2036], It is fit [G2427] now [G3568], O Boss '[G2962], take [G2983] indeed [G1211] the [G3588] life [G5590] of me [G1473] from me [G1473]! for [G3754] no [G3756] better [G2908] I [G1473] am than [G5228] the [G3588] my fathers [G3962][G1473].
5: And [G2532] he bedded down [G2837] and [G2532] slept there [G1563] under [G5259] a plant . And [G2532] look [G2400], a certain [G5100] word-conveyer (messenger) ' touched him [G1473], and [G2532] said [G2036] to him [G1473], Rise up , and [G2532] eat [G2068]!
6: And [G2532] he looked [G1914]. And [G2532] look [G2400], by [G4314] his head [G2776][G1473] [was] a cake baked in hot ashes of oaten bread , and [G2532] a jar of water [G5204]. And [G2532] Elijah rose up and [G2532] ate [G2068] and [G2532] drank [G4095]. And [G2532] he returned [G1994] and went to bed [G2837].
7: And [G2532] returned [G1994] the [G3588] word-conveyer (messenger) ' [of the] Boss '[G2962] [G1537] a second [time] [G1208], and [G2532] touched him [G1473], and [G2532] said [G2036] to him [G1473], Rise up , eat [G2068]! for [G3754] [is] great [G4183] for you [G1473] the [G3588] journey [G3598].
8: And [G2532] he rose up , and [G2532] ate [G2068] and [G2532] drank [G4095]. And [G2532] he went [G4198] in [G1722] the [G3588] strength [G2479] of the [G3588] that food [G1035][G1565] forty [G5062] days [G2250] and [G2532] forty [G5062] nights [G3571] unto [G2193] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] Horeb.
9: And [G2532] he entered [G1525] there [G1563] into [G1519] the [G3588] cave [G4693], and [G2532] rested up [G2647] there [G1563]. And [G2532] look [G2400], a word [G4487] of Boss '[G2962] [came] to [G4314] him [G1473]. And [G2532] he said [G2036], Why [are [G5100] you [G1473] here , Elijah?
10: And [G2532] Elijah said [G2036], Being zealous [G2206], I am zealous [G2206] for the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] almighty [G3841], for [G3754] abandoned [G1459] you [G1473] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel]. the [G3588] Your altar [G2379][G1473] they razed [G2679], and [G2532] the [G3588] your prophets [G4396][G1473] they killed by [G1722] broadsword [G4501], and [G2532] am left [G5275] I [G1473] alone [G3441], and [G2532] they seek [G2212] the [G3588] life [G5590] of me [G1473] to take [G2983] it [G1473].
11: And [G2532] he said [G2036], You will go forth [G1831] and [G2532] stand [G2476] before [G1799] Boss '[G2962] in [G1722] the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735]! and [G2532] look [G2400], Boss '[G2962] will go by [G3928]. And [G2532] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] [there was] a great [G3173] strong [G2900] parting [G1262] raised-places (mountains) '[G3735], and [G2532] breaking [G4937] rocks [G4073] before [G1799] Boss '[G2962]; [was] not [G3756] in [G1722] the [G3588] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] [but the] Boss '[G2962]. And [G2532] after [G3326] the [G3588] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] a rumbling ; [was] not [G3756] in [G1722] the [G3588] rumbling [but the] Boss '[G2962].
12: And [G2532] after [G3326] the [G3588] rumbling a fire [G4442]; [was] not [G3756] in [G1722] the [G3588] fire [G4442] [but the] Boss '[G2962]. And [G2532] after [G3326] the [G3588] fire [G4442] a sound [G5456] breeze of a fine [G3016] -- there [was [G1563] Boss '[G2962].
13: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] as [G5613] Elijah heard , that [G2532] he covered over [G1943] the [G3588] his face [G4383][G1473] with [G1722] the [G3588] his sheepskin [G3374][G1473], and [G2532] he went forth [G1831] and [G2532] stood [G2476] by [G3844] the [G3588] cave [G4693]. And [G2532] look [G2400], before [G4314] him [G1473] [was] a voice [G5456], and [G2532] he said [G2036], Why [are [G5100] you [G1473] here , Elijah?
14: And [G2532] Elijah said [G2036], Being zealous [G2206], I am zealous [G2206] for the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] God '[G2316] almighty [G3841], for [G3754] abandoned [G1459] the [G3588] your covenant [G1242][G1473] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel], the [G3588] your altars [G2379][G1473] they razed [G2679], and [G2532] the [G3588] your prophets [G4396][G1473] they killed by [G1722] broadsword [G4501], and [G2532] am left [G5275] I [G1473] alone [G3441], and [G2532] they seek [G2212] the [G3588] life [G5590] of me [G1473] to take [G2983] it [G1473].
15: And [G2532] BOSS said [G2036][G2962] to [G4314] him [G1473], Go [G4198], return to [G1519] the [G3588] your journey [G3598][G1473]! And [G2532] you will come [G2240] unto [G1519] the [G3588] way [G3598] of wilderness [G2048] of Damascus, and [G2532] you will anoint [G5548] the [G3588] Hazael as [G1519] king over [G1909] Syria.
16: And [G2532] the [G3588] Jehu son [G5207] of Nimshi you will anoint [G5548] as [G1519] king over [G1909] Israel. And [G2532] the [G3588] Elisha son [G5207] of Shaphat of [G1537] Abel-meholah you will anoint [G5548] as [G1519] prophet [G4396] instead of you [G1473].
17: And [G2532] it will be the [G3588] [one] being delivered [G4982] from [G1537] broadsword [G4501] of Hazael, Jehu will put to death [G2289]. And [G2532] the [G3588] [one] being delivered [G4982] from [G1537] broadsword [G4501] of Jehu, Elisha will put to death [G2289].
18: And [G2532] I will leave behind [G2641] in [G1722] Israel seven [G2033] thousand [G5505] men , all [G3956] the [G3588] knees [G1119] which [G3739] do not [G3756] bend [G2578] knee [G1119] the [G3588] to Baal, and [G2532] every [G3956] mouth [G4750] which [G3739] does not [G3756] do obeisance to [G4352] him [G1473].
19: And [G2532] he went forth from there [G1564], and [G2532] he finds [G2147] the [G3588] Elisha son [G5207] of Shaphat, and [G2532] he [G1473] was plowing with [G1722] oxen [G1016]. Twelve [G1427] teams [G2201] [were] before [G1799] him [G1473], and [G2532] he [G1473] [was] among [G1722] the [G3588] twelve [G1427]. And [G2532] went forth unto [G1909] the [G3588] Elisha Elijah], and [G2532] he tossed [G4495] upon [G1909] him [G1473] the [G3588] his sheepskin [G3374][G1473].
20: And [G2532] Elisha left [G2641] the [G3588] oxen [G1016], and [G2532] he ran [G5143] after [G3694] Elijah, and [G2532] said [G2036], I will kiss [G2705] the [G3588] father [G3962] of me [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] my mother [G3384][G1473], and [G2532] I will follow after [G3694] you [G1473]. And [G2532] he said [G2036] to him [G1473], Go [G4198], return ! for [G3754] I have done it [G4160] to you [G1473].
21: And [G2532] he returned from following after him [G1473]. And [G2532] he took [G2983] the [G3588] teams [G2201] of the [G3588] oxen [G1016], and [G2532] he sacrificed [G2380] and [G2532] cooked them [G1473] by [G1722] the [G3588] equipment [G4632] of the [G3588] oxen [G1016], and [G2532] he gave [G1325] to the [G3588] people [G2992] and [G2532] they ate [G2068]. And [G2532] he rose up , and [G2532] went [G4198] after [G3694] Elijah, and [G2532] ministered [G3008] to him [G1473].
