1: These [G3778] [are] the [G3588] parables [G3942] of Solomon the [G3588] impartial , which [G3739] wrote out the [G3588] friends [G5384] of Hezekiah the [G3588] king of the [G3588] Judea].
2: glory [G1391] of God '[G2316] hides [G2928] a word '[G3056]; but glory [G1391][G1161] of a king esteems [G5091] things [G4229].
3: raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772] [is] high [G5308], and land '[G1093][G1161] [is] deep ; but heart [G2588][G1161] of a king is unascertained .
4: Beat [G5180] unproven silver ! and [G2532] it will be cleansed [G2511] clean [G2513] all together .
5: Slay impious from [G1537] presence [G4383] [of the] king ! and [G2532] you will set up in [G1722] righteousness [G1343] the [G3588] throne [G2362] of him [G1473].
6: Do not [G3361] act ostentatiously in the presence of [G1799] king , nor [G3366] in [G1722] places [G5117] of mighty ones [G1413] stand !
7: For better [G2908][G1063] the [G3588] saying [G2046] to you [G1473], go up to [G4314] me [G1473]! than [G2228] to humble [G5013] you [G1473] in [G1722] presence [G4383] of a mighty one [G1413]. What [G3739] you looked [at] [G1492] [with] the [G3588] eyes [G3788] of you [G1473], speak [G3004]!

18: [As] a club , and [G2532] a sword [G3162], and [G2532] bow a pointed , so [G3779] also [G2532] man the [G3588] bearing [G2649] the [G3588] friend [G5384] [against] of him '[G1473] witness [G3141] false [G5571].
19: way [G3598] An evil [G2556] and [G2532] foot [G4228] of a lawbreaker will be destroyed in [G1722] day [G2250] an evil [G2556].
20: As [G5618] vinegar [G3690] draws [G1670] hurtful ; so [G3779] falling [G4363] passion [G3806] on [G1722] a body [G4983] heart [G2588] distresses [G3076]. As [G5618] a moth [G4597] in a garment [G2440], and [G2532] a worm [G4663] in wood [G3586], so [G3779] distress [G3077] of a man hurts heart [G2588].
21: If [G1437] hungers [G3983] the [G3588] enemy [G2190] your [G1473] nourish [G5142] him [G1473], if [G1437] he thirsts [G1372] give him to drink [G4222][G1473]!
22: this [G3778] For [G1063] doing [G4160] coals of fire [G4442] you will heap [G4987] upon [G1909] the [G3588] his head [G2776][G1473]; and the [G3588][G1161] Boss '[G2962] will recompense to you [G1473] good [things] .
23: wind north [G1005] arouses [G1825] clouds [G3509], and face [G4383][G1161] of an impudent tongue [G1100] aggravates [G2042].

26: As [G5618] if any one [G1536] a spring [G4077] may shut up [G5420], and [G2532] of water [G5204] an exiting [G1841] lay waste [G3075]; so [G3779] [it is] unbecoming [for] a just man [G1342] to fall [G4098] before [G1799] impious .
27: To eat [G2068] honey [G3192] much [G4183] [is] not [G3756] good [G2570]; to esteem [G5091] but [G1161] it behooves [G5534] words [G3056] honorable [G1741].
28: As [G5618] a city [G4172] the [G3588] [with] walls [G5038] having been thrown down [G2598] and [G2532] unwalled , so [G3779] a man who [G3739] with no [G3756][G3326] counsel [G1012] in anything [G5100] acts [G4238].
