Matthew Chapter 8 - | Early Church Bible

1: coming down [G2597] And [G1161] in of him '[G1473] from the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735], followed him [G1473] crowd [G3793] a great [G4183].
2: And [G2532] look [G2400], a leper [G3015], having come [G2064], did obeisance to [G4352] him [G1473], saying [G3004], O Boss '[G2962], if [G1437] you should want [G2309], you are able [G1410] to cleanse me [G1473][G2511].
3: And [G2532] stretching out [G1614] the [G3588] hand [G5495], touched him [G1473] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), saying [G3004], I want [G2309], be cleansed [G2511]! And [G2532] immediately [G2112] he was cleansed [G2511] of of him '[G1473] the [G3588] leprosy [G3014].
4: And [G2532] says [G3004] to him [G1473] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), See that [G3708] no one [G3367] you tell [G2036]! But go [G5217] yourself [G4572] show [G1166] to the [G3588] priest [G2409], and [G2532] offer [G4374] the [G3588] gift [offering [G1435]! the [G3588] [one] Moses assigned [G4367] for [G1519] a testimony [G3142] to them [G1473].
5: having entered [G1525] And [G1161] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) into [G1519] Capernaum, came forward [G4334] to him [G1473] a centurion [G1543] enjoining [G3870] him [G1473],
6: and [G2532] saying [G3004], O Boss '[G2962], the [G3588] my servant [G3816][G1473] is lying in [G1722] the [G3588] house [G3614] a paralytic [G3885], awfully [G1171] being tormented .
7: And [G2532] says [G3004] to him [G1473] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), I [G1473] coming [G2064] will cure [G2323] him [G1473].
8: And [G2532] responding the [G3588] centurion [G1543] said [G5346], O Boss '[G2962], I am not [G3756] fit [G2425] that [G2443] under my [G1473][G5259] the [G3588] roof [G4721] you should enter [G1525]; but only [G3440] speak [G2036] word [G3056]! and [G2532] will be healed [G2390] the [G3588] my servant [G3816][G1473].
9: also [G2532] For [G1063] I [G1473] a man am under [G5259] authority [G1849], having [G2192] under [G5259] myself [G1683] soldiers [G4757]. And [G2532] I say [G3004] to this one [G3778], Go [G4198]! and [G2532] he goes [G4198]. And [G2532] to another , Come [G2064]! and [G2532] he comes [G2064]. And [G2532] [to the [G3588] my manservant [G1401][G1473], Do [G4160] this [G3778]! and [G2532] he does [G4160].
10: And hearing [G1161], the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) marveled [G2296], and [G2532] he said [G2036] to the [G3588] [ones] following , Amen I say [G3004] to you [G1473], not even [G3761] in [G1722] the [G3588] Israel such great [G5118] trust '[G4102] did I find [G2147].
11: And I say [G3004][G1161] to you [G1473], that [G3754] many [G4183] from east and [G2532] west [G1424] will come [G2240], and [G2532] will be lain down with [G3326] Abraham and [G2532] Isaac and [G2532] Jacob in [G1722] the [G3588] government ' of the [G3588] raised-places-above (skies) '[G3772].
12: But the [G3588][G1161] sons [G5207] of the [G3588] government ' will be cast out [G1544] into [G1519] the [G3588] darkness [G4655] the [G3588] outer [G1857]; there [G1563], there will be the [G3588] weeping [G2805] and [G2532] the [G3588] gnashing [G1030] of the [G3588] teeth [G3599].
13: And [G2532] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) said [G2036] the [G3588] to the [G3588] centurion [G1543], Go [G5217]! and [G2532] as [G5613] you trusted '[G4100] let it be [G1096] to you [G1473]! And [G2532] was healed [G2390] the [G3588] his servant [G3816][G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] that hour [G5610][G1565].
14: And [G2532] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) having come [G2064] the [G3588] into [G1519] the [G3588] house [G3614] of Peter, he looked [at] [G1492] the [G3588] his mother-in-law [G3994][G1473] lying and [G2532] having a fever [G4445].
15: And [G2532] he touched the [G3588] her hand [G5495][G1473], and [G2532] left her [G1473] the [G3588] fever [G4446]; and [G2532] she arose [G1453], and [G2532] served [G1247] to them [G1473].
16: late [G3798] And [G1161] becoming [G1096], they brought near [G4374] to him [G1473] being demon-possessed [G1139] many [G4183]; and [G2532] he cast out [G1544] the [G3588] blowing airs (ghosts) '[G4151] by a word [G3056]; and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] an illness [G2560] having [G2192] he cured [G2323];
17: so that [G3704] might be fulfilled [G4137] the [thing] [G3588] having been spoken [G4483] through [G1223] Isaiah the [G3588] prophet [G4396] saying [G3004], He himself [G1473] the [G3588] our weaknesses [G1473] took [G2983], and [G2532] the [G3588] diseases [G3554] he bore .
18: looking [at] [G1492] And [G1161] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) great [G4183] crowds [G3793] around [G4012] him [G1473], bid [G2753] to go forth unto [G1519] the [G3588] other side [G4008].
19: And [G2532] having come forward [G4334], one [G1520] scholar (scribe) '[G1122] (sofer [H5613]) said [G2036] to him [G1473], Teacher [G1320] ["Rabbi [G4461]" John 1:38], I will follow you [G1473] where [G3699] ever [G1437] you should go forth .
20: And [G2532] says [G3004] to him [G1473] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), the [G3588] foxes dens [G5454] have [G2192], and [G2532] the [G3588] birds [G4071] of the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772] shelters [G2682]; but the [G3588][G1161] son [G5207] of the [G3588] man has not [G3756][G2192] where [G4226] the [G3588] head [G2776] he should lean [G2827].
21: And another [G2087][G1161] of the [G3588] his trainees '[G3101][G1473] said [G2036] to him [G1473], O Boss '[G2962], commit to my care [G2010] to me [G1473] first [G4412] to go forth and [G2532] bury [G2290] the [G3588] father [G3962] of me [G1473]!
22: the [G3588] And [G1161] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) said [G2036] to him [G1473], Follow me [G1473], and [G2532] allow the [G3588] dead [G3498] to bury [G2290] [their the [G3588] own [G1438] dead [G3498]!
23: And [G2532] in his stepping [G1684][G1473] into [G1519] the [G3588] boat [G4143], followed him [G1473] the [G3588] his disciples [G3101][G1473].
24: And [G2532] look [G2400], quaking [G4578] a great [G3173] took place [G1096] on [G1722] the [G3588] sea [G2281], so as to [G5620] the [G3588] boat [G4143] cover [G2572] under [G5259] the [G3588] waves [G2949]; but he [G1473][G1161] was sleeping [G2518].
25: And [G2532] coming forward [G4334] the [G3588] his trainees '[G3101][G1473] roused [G1453] him [G1473], saying [G3004], O Boss '[G2962], save [G4982] us [G1473]! we perish .
26: And [G2532] he says [G3004] to them [G1473], Why [G5100] are you timid [G1169], O ones of little belief [G3640]? Then [G5119] having arisen [G1453], he reproached [G2008] the [G3588] winds and [G2532] the [G3588] sea [G2281]; and [G2532] there became [G1096] calm [G1055] a great [G3173].
27: And the [G3588][G1161] men marveled [G2296], saying [G3004], What kind [G4217] is this one [G3778], that [G3754] even [G2532] the [G3588] winds and [G2532] the [G3588] sea [G2281] obey [G5219] him [G1473]?
28: And [G2532] in his coming [G2064][G1473] unto [G1519] the [G3588] other side [G4008], unto [G1519] the [G3588] place [G5561] of the [G3588] Gergesenes, there encountered [G5221] to him [G1473] two [G1417] demon-possessed [G1139], from out of [G1537] the [G3588] sepulchres [G3419] coming forth [G1831], ill-tempered [G5467] exceedingly [G3029], so that [G5620] not [G3361] were able [G2480] any [G5100] to go [G3928] by [G1223] the [G3588] that way [G3598][G1565].
29: And [G2532] look [G2400], they cried out [G2896], saying [G3004], What [is it [G5100] to us [G1473] and [G2532] to you [G1473], Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), O son [G5207] of the [G3588] God '[G2316]? [Are] you come [G2064] here [G5602] before [G4253] time [G2540] to torment us [G1473]?
30: And there was [G1161] far [G3112] from them [G1473] a convoy ' of swine [G5519], many [G4183] grazing [G1006].
31: And the [G3588][G1161] daimons [G1142] enjoined [G3870] him [G1473], saying [G3004], If [G1487] you cast us out [G1544][G1473], commission [G2010] us [G1473] to go forth into [G1519] the [G3588] convoy ' of the [G3588] swine [G5519].
32: And [G2532] he said [G2036] to them [G1473], Go [G5217]! And the [G3588][G1161] having gone forth [G1831], they departed into [G1519] the [G3588] convoy ' of the [G3588] swine [G5519]. And [G2532] look [G2400], advanced [G3729] all [G3956] the [G3588] convoy ' of the [G3588] swine [G5519] down [G2596] the [G3588] precipice [G2911] into [G1519] the [G3588] sea [G2281], and [G2532] they died in [G1722] the [G3588] waters [G5204].
33: And the [G3588] [ones] [G1161] grazing [G1006] fled [G5343]. And [G2532] having gone forth into [G1519] the [G3588] city [G4172], they reported all [G3956], and [G2532] the [things] [G3588] of the [G3588] [ones] being demon-possessed [G1139].
34: And [G2532] look [G2400], all [G3956] the [G3588] city [G4172] came forth [G1831] to [G1519] meet with [G4877] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]). And [G2532] seeing [G1492] him [G1473], they enjoined him [G3870] how [G3704] he should cross over [G3327] from the [G3588]ir borders [G3725][G1473].
