Mark Chapter 9 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] he said [G3004] to them [G1473], Amen I say [G3004] to you [G1473] that [G3754], There are some [G5100] of the [G3588] [ones] here [G5602] standing [G2476], the ones who [G3748] in no way will taste [G1089] of death [G2288], until [G2193] whenever they should look [at] [G1492] the [G3588] government ' of the [G3588] God '[G2316] coming [G2064] in [G1722] power [G1411].
2: And [G2532] after [G3326] days [G2250] six [G1803] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) took to himself [G3880] the [G3588]the [G3588] Peter, and [G2532] the [G3588] James, and [G2532] the [G3588] John, and [G2532] brought them [G1473] into [G1519] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] a high [G5308] in [G2596] private [G2398] alone [G3441]. And [G2532] he was transformed [G3339] in front of [G1715] them [G1473].
3: And [G2532] the [G3588] his garments [G2440][G1473] became [G1096] shining [G4744], white [G3022] exceedingly [G3029] as [G5613] snow [G5510], such as [G3634] a fuller [G1102] upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093] is not [G3756] able [G1410] to whiten [G3021].
4: And [G2532] appeared to them [G3708][G1473] Elijah with [G4862] Moses], and [G2532] they were conversing together [G4814] the [G3588] with Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]).
5: And [G2532] responding the [G3588] Peter says [G3004] the [G3588] to Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), Rabbi [G4461] ["Teacher [G1320]" John 1:38], it is good [G2570] for us [G1473] to be here [G5602]; and [G2532] we should make [G4160] tents [G4633] three [G5140]; for you [G1473] one [G1520], and [G2532] Moses one [G1520], and [G2532] Elijah one [G1520];
6: not [G3756] for [G1063] he knew [G1492] what [G5100] he will speak [G2980], for they were [G1063] frightened [G1630].
7: And [G2532] there became [G1096] a cloud [G3507] overshadowing [G1982] them [G1473]; and [G2532] came [G2064] a voice [G5456] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] cloud [G3507], saying [G3004], This [G3778] is the [G3588] my son [G5207][G1473] the [G3588] beloved , hear him [G1473]!
8: And [G2532] suddenly [G1819] having looked round about [G4017], no longer [G3765] anyone [G3762] they beheld [G1492], but the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) alone [G3441] with [G3326] themselves [G1438].
9: going down [G2597] And [G1161] [of] their [G1473] from the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735], he gave warning [G1291] to them [G1473] that [G2443] to no one [G3367] should they describe [G1334] what [G3739] they saw [G1492], except [G1508] whenever [G3752] the [G3588] son [G5207] of the [G3588] man from [G1537] dead [G3498] should be raised up .
10: And [G2532] the [G3588] word '[G3056] they kept [G2902] to [G4314] themselves [G1438], debating [G4802] what [G5100] is the [thing] [G3588] -- from [G1537] dead [G3498] to rise up ?
11: And [G2532] they asked [G1905] him [G1473], saying [G3004] that [G3754], say [G3004] the [G3588] scholars (scribes) '[G1122] (soferim [H5613])] that [G3754] it is necessary for Elijah [G1163] to come [G2064] first [G4412].
12: And he the [G3588][G1161] answering said [G2036] to them [G1473], Elijah indeed [G3303] having come [G2064] first [G4412] restores all [things] [G3956]; and [G2532] how [G4459] it has been written [G1125] about [G1909] the [G3588] son [G5207] of the [G3588] man , that [G2443] many [things] [G4183] he should suffer [G3958], and [G2532] should be treated with contempt [G1847].
13: And I say [G3004] to you [G1473], that [G3754] also [G2532] Elijah has come [G2064], and [G2532] they did [G4160] to him [G1473] as much as [G3745] they wanted [G2309], as [G2531] it was written [G1125] of [G1909] him [G1473].
14: And [G2532] having come [G2064] to [G4314] the [G3588] trainees '[G3101], he looked [at] [G1492] crowd [G3793] a great [G4183] around [G4012] them [G1473], and [G2532] scholars (scribes) '[G1122] (soferim [H5613]) debating [G4802] with them [G1473].
15: And [G2532] immediately [G2112] all [G3956] the [G3588] crowd [G3793] looking [at] [G1492] him [G1473] were astonished [G1568], and [G2532] were running up to [G4370] greet him [G1473].
16: And [G2532] he asked [G1905] the [G3588] scholars (scribes) '[G1122] (soferim [H5613]), What [G5100] do you debate [G4802] with [G4314] them [G1473]?
17: And [G2532] answering one [G1520] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] crowd [G3793] said [G2036], Teacher [G1320] ["Rabbi [G4461]" John 1:38], I brought [G5342] the [G3588] my son [G5207][G1473] to [G4314] you [G1473], having [G2192] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] a speechless .
18: And [G2532] where [G3699] ever he [G1473] should be overtaken [G2638] it tears [G4486] him [G1473], and [G2532] he foams , and [G2532] grinds [G5149] the [G3588] his teeth [G3599][G1473], and [G2532] he withers [G3583]. And [G2532] I spoke [G2036] [to the [G3588] your trainees '[G3101][G1473] that [G2443] they should cast it out [G1473][G1544], and [G2532] they prevailed not [G3756][G2480].
19: And the [G3588][G1161] answering to him [G1473], he says [G3004], O [G5599] generation [G1074] unbelieving , for how long [G2193][G4219] to [G4314] you [G1473] will I be ? For how long [G2193][G4219] will I endure you [G1473]? Bring [G5342] him [G1473] to [G4314] me [G1473]!
20: And [G2532] they brought [G5342] him [G1473] to [G4314] him [G1473]. And [G2532] looking [at] [G1492] him [G1473], immediately [G2112] the [G3588] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] threw him into a spasm [G4682][G1473]; and [G2532] having fallen [G4098] upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093] he rolled [G2947] foaming .
21: And [G2532] he asked [G1905] the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473], How long [G4214] a time [G5550] is it [that [G5613] this [G3778] has happened [G1096] to him [G1473]? And he the [G3588][G1161] said [G2036], From childhood [G3812].
22: And [G2532] often [G4178] him [G1473] both [G2532] into [G1519] fire [G4442] it threw and [G2532] into [G1519] waters [G5204], that [G2443] it should destroy him [G1473]; but if any [way [G1487] you are able [G1410], help us [G1473]! be moved with compassion [G4697] upon [G1909] us [G1473]!
23: And the [G3588][G1161] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) said [G2036] to him [G1473], the [thing] [G3588], if [G1487] you are able [G1410] to believe[G4100] -- all [things] [G3956] [are] possible [G1415] to the [G3588] [one] trusting '[G4100].
24: And [G2532] immediately [G2112] crying out [G2896] the [G3588] father [G3962] of the [G3588] child [G3813] with [G3326] tears [G1144] said [G3004], I trust '[G4100], O Boss '[G2962], help my [G1473] the [G3588] unbelief !
25: looking [at] [G1492] And [G1161] the [G3588] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) that [G3754] ran together [G1998] multitude [G3793], he reproached [G2008] the [G3588] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] the [G3588] unclean , saying [G3004] to it [G1473], O the [G3588] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151], the [G3588] speechless and [G2532] mute [G2974], I [G1473] give orders to you [G1473][G2004], Come forth [G1831] out of [G1537] him [G1473]! and [G2532] no longer [G3371] should you enter [G1525] into [G1519] him [G1473].
26: And [G2532] having cried out [G2896], and [G2532] greatly [G4183] throwing him into a spasm [G4682][G1473], it came forth [G1831]; and [G2532] he became [G1096] as [G5616] dead [G3498]; so as for [G5620] many [G4183] to say [G3004] that [G3754] he died .
27: And the [G3588][G1161] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) having held [G2902] him [G1473] by the [G3588] hand [G5495], raised [G1453] him [G1473]; and [G2532] he rose up .
28: And [G2532] in his entering [G1525][G1473] into [G1519] house [G3624], the [G3588] his trainees '[G3101][G1473] responded to [G1905] him [G1473] in [G2596] private [G2398] that [G3754], We [G1473] were not [G3756] able [G1410] to cast it out [G1544][G1473]
29: And [G2532] he said [G2036] to them [G1473], This [G3778] the [G3588] kind [G1085] by [G1722] nothing [G3762] is able [G1410] to come forth [G1831], except [G1508] by [G1722] prayer [G4335] and [G2532] fasting [G3521].
30: And [G2532] from there [G1564] having gone forth [G1831] they passed [G3899] through [G1223] the [G3588] Galilee, and [G2532] he did not [G3756] want [G2309] that [G2443] any [G5100] should know [G1097].
31: For he taught [G1321][G1063] the [G3588] trainees '[G3101] of him [G1473], and [G2532] said [G3004] to them [G1473] that [G3754], the [G3588] son [G5207] of the [G3588] man is delivered up [G3860] unto [G1519] hands [G5495] of men , and [G2532] they will kill him [G1473]; and [G2532] having been killed , the [G3588] third [G5154] day [G2250] he will rise up .
32: But they the [G3588][G1161] knew not the [G3588] saying [G4487], and [G2532] feared [G5399] to ask him [G1473][G1905].
33: And [G2532] he came [G2064] into [G1519] Capernaum. And [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] house [G3614] being [G1096] he asked [G1905] them [G1473], What [G5100] in [G1722] the [G3588] way [G3598] among [G4314] yourselves [G1438] were you reasoning [G1260]?
34: And they the [G3588][G1161] were silent [G4623]; with [G4314] one another for [G1063] they were reasoning [G1256] in [G1722] the [G3588] way [G3598], who [G5100] [was] greater [G3173].
35: And [G2532] sitting down [G2523], he called [G5455] the [G3588] twelve [G1427], and [G2532] he says [G3004] to them [G1473], If anyone [G1487] wants [G2309] to be first [G4413], he will be last of all [G3956][G2078], and [G2532] servant of all [G3956][G1249].
36: And [G2532] having taken [G2983] a child [G3813], he set [G2476] it [G1473] in [G1722] midst [G3319] of them [G1473]; and [G2532] having embraced [G1723] it [G1473], he said [G2036] to them [G1473],
37: Who [G3739] ever [G1437] one [G1520] of the [G3588] such [G5108] children [G3813] should receive [G1209] in [G1909] the [G3588] name [G3686] of me [G1473], receives me [G1473][G1209]; and [G2532] who [G3739] ever [G1437] should receive me [G1473][G1209], not [G3756] me [G1473] receives [G1209], but the [G3588] [one] having sent me [G1473].
38: responded And [G1161] to him [G1473] the [G3588] John], saying [G3004], Teacher [G1320] ["Rabbi [G4461]" John 1:38], we looked [at] [G1492] a certain one [G5100] the [G3588] in your name [G3686][G1473] casting out [G1544] demons [G1140], who [G3739] does not [G3756] follow us [G1473]; and [G2532] we restrained [G2967] him [G1473], for [G3754] he does not [G3756] follow us [G1473].
39: And the [G3588][G1161] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) said [G2036], Do not [G3361] restrain [G2967] him [G1473]! no one [G3762] For [G1063] there is who [G3739] will do [G4160] a [work] of power [G1411] in [G1909] the [G3588] name [G3686] of me [G1473], and [G2532] be able to [G1410] quickly [G5036] speak evil of [G2551] me [G1473].
40: For he who [G3739][G1063] not [G3756] is against [G2596] us [G1473], for [G5228] us [G1473] is .
41: For who [G3739][G1063] ever should give you a drink of [G4222][G1473] a cup [G4221] of water [G5204] in [G1722] the [G3588] name [G3686] of me [G1473], for [G3754] you are of Anointed "'[G5547], amen I say [G3004] to you [G1473], in no way [G3364] should he lose the [G3588] his wage [G3408][G1473].
42: And [G2532] whoever [G3739] should cause to stumble [G4624] one [G1520] of the [G3588] little ones [G3397] the [G3588] trusting '[G4100] in [G1519] me [G1473], good [G2570] it is to him [G1473] rather [G3123] if [G1487] encompass [G4029] stone [G3037] a mill [G3457] around [G4012] the [G3588] his neck [G5137][G1473], and [G2532] to be thrown into [G1519] the [G3588] sea [G2281].
43: And [G2532] if [G1437] should cause you to stumble [G4624][G1473] the [G3588] your hand [G5495][G1473], cut it off [G1473]! good [G2570] to you [G1473] It is crippled [G2948] into [G1519] the [G3588] life [G2222] to enter [G1525], rather than [G2228] the [G3588] two [G1417] hands [G5495] having [G2192] to go forth into [G1519] the [G3588] Gehenna, into [G1519] the [G3588] fire [G4442] the [G3588] inextinguishable ,
44: where [G3699] the [G3588]ir worm [G4663][G1473] does not [G3756] come to an end [G5053], and [G2532] the [G3588] fire [G4442] [is] not [G3756] extinguished [G4570].
45: And [G2532] if [G1437] the [G3588] your foot [G4228][G1473] causes you to stumble [G4624][G1473], cut it off [G1473]! good [G2570] It is to you [G1473] to enter [G1525] into [G1519] the [G3588] life [G2222] lame [G5560], rather than [G2228] the [G3588] two [G1417] feet [G4228] having [G2192] to be thrown into [G1519] the [G3588] Gehenna, into [G1519] the [G3588] fire [G4442] the [G3588] inextinguishable ,
46: where [G3699] the [G3588]ir worm [G4663][G1473] does not [G3756] come to an end [G5053], and [G2532] the [G3588] fire [G4442] [is] not [G3756] extinguished [G4570].
47: And [G2532] if [G1437] the [G3588] your eye [G3788][G1473] causes you to stumble [G4624][G1473], cast it out [G1544][G1473]! good [G2570] to you [G1473] [For] it is one-eyed [G3442] to enter [G1525] into [G1519] the [G3588] government ' of the [G3588] God '[G2316], rather than [G2228] two [G1417] eyes [G3788] having [G2192] to be thrown into [G1519] the [G3588] Gehenna the [G3588] of fire [G4442],
48: where [G3699] the [G3588]ir worm [G4663][G1473] does not [G3756] come to an end [G5053], and [G2532] the [G3588] fire [G4442] [is] not [G3756] extinguished [G4570].
49: For all [G3956][G1063] with fire [G4442] will be salted , and [G2532] every [G3956] sacrifice [G2378] with salt will be salted .
50: [is] good [G2570] the [G3588] salt ; but if [G1437][G1161] the [G3588] salt insipid becomes [G1096], by [G1722] what [means [G5100] will you season [G1473]? Have [G2192] in [G1722] yourselves [G1438] salt , and [G2532] make peace [G1514] with [G1722] one another !
