Jeremiah Chapter 39 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] in [G1722] the [G3588] year [G2094] the [G3588] ninth [G1766] the [G3588] of Zedekiah king of Judah, in [G1722] the [G3588] month [G3376] the [G3588] tenth [G1181], came [G3854] Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] his force [G1411][G1473] against [G1909] Jerusalem, and [G2532] they assaulted it [G1473].
2: And [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] eleventh [G1734] year [G2094] of the [G3588] Zedekiah, in [G1722] the [G3588] month [G3376] the [G3588] fourth [G5067], ninth [G1766] of the [G3588] month [G3376], was broken asunder [G4486] the [G3588] city [G4172].
3: And [G2532] entered [G1525] all [G3956] the [G3588] governors [G2232] of king of Babylon] and [G2532] sat down [G2523] at [G1722] gate [G4439], the [one] the [G3588] in the middle [G3319], Nergal-sharezer, Samgar, and [G2532] Nebo-sarsechim, and [G2532] Nebu-sarkes and [G2532] Nergal, Sharezer, Rab-mag, and [G2532] the [G3588] rest [G2645] of governors [G2232] of king of Babylon.
4: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] as [G5613] saw [G1492] them [G1473] Zedekiah king of Judah], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] men warriors , that [G2532] they fled [G5343] and [G2532] went forth [G1831] at night [G3571] from [G1537] the [G3588] city [G4172] according to [G2596] the [G3588] way [G3598] of garden [G2779] of the [G3588] king through [G1223] the [G3588] gate [G4439] between the [G3588] wall [G5038] and [G2532] the [G3588] [fortification] around the wall . And [G2532] they went forth [G1831] by [G1223] the [G3588] way [G3598] of Araba.
5: And [G2532] pursued [G2614] for the [G3588]ce [G1411] of the [G3588] Chaldeans] after [G3694] them [G1473]. And [G2532] they seized [G4815] the [G3588] Zedekiah on [G1722] the [G3588] other side [G4008] of Jericho, and [G2532] they conveyed ' him [G1473] to [G4314] Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to [G1519] Riblah the [city the [G3588] in [G1722] the [G3588] land '[G1093] of Hamath. And [G2532] he spoke [G3004] against him [G1473] with [G3326] judgment [G2920].
6: And [G2532] slew [G4969] the [G3588] king of Babylon] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Zedekiah in [G1722] Riblah before [G2596] his eyes [G3788][G1473]; and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] rulers of Judah he slew [G4969].
7: And [G2532] the [G3588] eyes [G3788] of Zedekiah he blinded . And [G2532] he bound [G1210] him [G1473] with [G1722] shackles [G3976], and [G2532] he conveyed ' him [G1473] unto [G1519] Babylon.
8: And [G2532] the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] king , and [G2532] the [G3588] houses [G3624] of the [G3588] people [G2992] set on fire the [G3588] Chaldeans] with [G1722] fire [G4442], and [G2532] the [G3588] wall [G5038] of Jerusalem they demolished [G2507].
9: And [G2532] the [G3588] extra [G4053] of the [G3588] people [G2992], and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] being left behind [G2641] in [G1722] the [G3588] city [G4172], and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] falling in [G1706] -- [these [G3739], they fell [G1706] to [G4314] the [G3588] king of Babylon.
10: And [G2532] the [G3588] rest [G3062] of the [G3588] people [G2992], and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] being left behind [G2641] removed [G3332] Nabuzar-adan the [G3588] chief guard unto [G1519] Babylon. And [G2532] of [G1537] the [G3588] [ones] begging [G4434] of the [G3588] people [G2992], the ones who [G3739] were not [G3756] anything [G3762], left behind [G2641] Nabuzar-adan the [G3588] chief guard in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Judah. And [G2532] he gave [G1325] to them [G1473] vineyards and [G2532] fields in [G1722] the [G3588] that day [G2250][G1565].
11: And [G2532] gave charge [G1781] Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon] concerning [G5228] the [G3588] Jeremiah in [G1722] hand [G5495] of Nebuzar-adan the [G3588] chief guard , saying [G3004],
12: Take [G2983] him [G1473] and [G2532] put [G5087] the [G3588] eyes [G3788] of you [G1473] upon [G1909] him [G1473]! and [G2532] you should not [G3361] do [G4160] to him [G1473] anything [G3762] bad [G2556]; but as [G2531] it should be said [G2980] to [G4314] you [G1473], thus [G3779] you will do [G4160] for him [G1473]!
13: And [G2532] sent Nabuzar-adan the [G3588] chief guard , and [G2532] Nabushasban and [G2532] Rab-sares and [G2532] Nergel and [G2532] Sharezer and [G2532] Rab-mag and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] governers [G2232] of king of Babylon.
14: And [G2532] they sent and [G2532] took [G2983] the [G3588] Jeremiah from out of [G1537] courtyard of the [G3588] guard [G5438], and [G2532] they gave [G1325] him [G1473] to [G4314] the [G3588] Gedaliah son [G5207] of Ahikam son [G5207] of Shaphan, and [G2532] they led him out [G1806][G1473]. And [G2532] he sat down [G2523] in [G1722] midst [G3319] of the [G3588] people [G2992].
15: And [G2532] to [G4314] Jeremiah came [G1096] word [G3056] of Boss '[G2962] in [G1722] the [G3588] courtyard of the [G3588] guard [G5438], saying [G3004],
16: Go [G4198] and [G2532] speak [G2036] to [G4314] Ebed-melech the [G3588] Ethiopian! saying [G3004], Thus [G3779] said [G2036] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of Israel, look [G2400], I [G1473] bring [G5342] the [G3588] my words [G3056][G1473] upon [G1909] the [G3588] this city [G4172][G3778] for [G1519] bad [things] [G2556], and [G2532] not [G3756] for [G1519] good [things] . And [G2532] they will be before [G1799] you [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] that day [G2250][G1565].
17: And [G2532] I will deliver [G4982] you [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] that day [G2250][G1565], says [G3004] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] I will not [G3756] give [G1325] you [G1473] into [G1519] hands [G5495] of the [G3588] men whom [G3739] you [G1473] fear [G5399] from their face [G4383][G1473].
18: For [G3754] by delivering [G4982], I will deliver [G4982] you [G1473], and [G2532] by [G1722] broadsword [G4501] in no way will you fall [G4098]. And [G2532] will be the [G3588] your life [G5590][G1473] for [G1519] gain , for [G3754] you relied [G3982] upon [G1909] me [G1473], says [G5346] Boss '[G2962].
