Ezra Chapter 10 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] as [G5613] Ezra prayed [G4336], and [G2532] as [G5613] he confessed weeping [G2799] and [G2532] falling [G4363] before [G1799] house [G3624] of the [G3588] God '[G2316], [there] came together [G4863] to [G4314] him [G1473] from Israel assembly [G1577] vast [G4183] an exceedingly [G4970], men and [G2532] women [G1135] and [G2532] young [people [G3495]; for [G3754] weeping [G2805] a great [G3173] wept [G2799] the [G3588] people [G2992].
2: And [G2532] answered one Shechaniah son [G5207] of Jehiel, from sons [G5207] of Elam, and [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] to Ezra, We [G1473] broke contract [with] the [G3588] our God '[G2316][G1473], and [G2532] sat down with [G2523] wives [G1135] alien from the [G3588] peoples [G2992] of the [G3588] land '[G1093]. And [G2532] now [G3568] there is hope [G1680] to the [G3588] Israel for [G1909] this [thing] [G3778].
3: And [G2532] now [G3568] we should ordain [G1303] a covenant [G1242] [with] the [G3588] our God '[G2316][G1473], to lead out [G1806] all [G3956] the [G3588] wives [G1135] and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] being born [G1080] from [G1537] them [G1473], according to [G1722] counsel [G1012] of Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] of the [G3588] [ones] trembling [G5141] in [G1722] commandments [G1785] of our God '[G2316][G1473]. And [G2532] according to [G5613] the [G3588] law [G3551] let it be [G1096]!
4: Rise up , for [G3754] concerns [G1909] you [G1473] the [G3588] matter [G4487], and [G2532] we [are [G1473] with [G3326] you [G1473] -- strengthen [G2901] and [G2532] do [G4160]!
5: And [G2532] Ezra rose up , and [G2532] bound by an oath [G3726] the [G3588] rulers of the [G3588] priests [G2409], and [G2532] Levites, and [G2532] all [G3956] Israel, the [G3588] to do [G4160] according to [G2596] the [G3588] this word [G4487][G3778]. And [G2532] they swore by an oath [G3660].
6: And [G2532] Ezra rose up from in front [G4383] [of the] house [G3624] of the [G3588] God '[G2316], and [G2532] went [G4198] into [G1519] treasury [G1049] of Johanan son [G5207] of Eliashib, and [G2532] he lodged there [G1563]; bread he did not [G3756] eat [G2068], and [G2532] water [G5204] did not [G3756] drink [G4095], for [G3754] he mourned [G3996] over [G1909] the [G3588] breach-of-contract by the [G3588] resettlement .
7: And [G2532] they carried about [G3911] a report [G5456] in [G1722] Judah and [G2532] in [G1722] Jerusalem to all [G3956] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of the [G3588] resettlement , the [G3588] to gather together [G4867] in [G1519] Jerusalem, [saying],
8: Every one [G3956] who [G3739] ever should not [G3361] come [G2064] for [G1519] three [G5140] days [G2250], according to [G5613] the [G3588] counsel [G1012] of the [G3588] rulers and [G2532] of the [G3588] elders [G4245], will be devoted to consumption all [G3956] the [G3588] his substance [G5223][G1473], and [G2532] he [G1473] will be separated [G1291] from assembly [G1577] of the [G3588] resettlement .
9: And [G2532] gathered together [G4863] all [G3956] men of Judah and [G2532] Benjamin] in [G1519] Jerusalem for [G1519] the [G3588] three [G5140] days [G2250]. [And] this [was [G3778] the [G3588] month [G3376] the [G3588] ninth [G1766]. On [G1722] the [G3588] twentieth of the [G3588] month [G3376] sat down [G2523] all [G3956] the [G3588] people [G2992] in [G1722] square [G4113] of house [G3624] of the [G3588] God '[G2316] in [G1722] trembling [G5156] concerning [G4012] the [G3588] matter [G4487], and [G2532] because off the [G3588] distress [G5494].
10: And [G2532] rose up Ezra the [G3588] priest [G2409], and [G2532] said [G2036] to [G4314] them [G1473], You [G1473] have broken the contract , and [G2532] sat down [with [G2523] wives [G1135] alien , the [G3588] to add [G4369] to [G1909] trespass of Israel.
11: And [G2532] now [G3568], give [G1325] praise [to the] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of the [G3588] fathers [G3962] of us [G1473], and [G2532] do [G4160] the [G3588] pleasing [thing] before [G1799] him [G1473], and [G2532] draw apart [G1291] from peoples [G2992] of the [G3588] land '[G1093], and [G2532] from the [G3588] wives [G1135] the [G3588] alien !
12: And [G2532] answered all [G3956] the [G3588] assembly [G1577] voice [G5456] [with] a great [G3173], and [G2532] said [G2036], According to [G2596] the [G3588] your words [G3056][G1473] which [G3739] you said [G5346], thus [G3779] we will do [G4160].
13: But the [G3588] people [G2992] [are] vast [G4183], and [G2532] [it is] the [G3588] time [G2540] of winter , and [G2532] there is no [G3756] ability [G1411] to stand [G2476] outside [G1854], and [G2532] the [G3588] work [G2041] [is] not [G3756] for [G1519] day [G2250] one [G1520], nor [G3761] two [G1417]; for [G3754] we multiplied [G4129] the [G3588] wrong in [G1722] the [G3588] this matter [G4487][G3778].
14: Let stand [G2476] indeed [G1211] the [G3588] our rulers [G1473] the [G3588] in every [G3956] assembly [G1577]! and [G2532] to all [G3956] the [G3588] [ones] in [G1722] our cities [G4172][G1473] who [G3739] sat down with [G2523] wives [G1135] alien , let them come [G2064] at [G1519] times [G2540] arranged , and [G2532] with [G3326] them [G1473] the [G3588] elders [G4245] city [G4172] by [G2532] city [G4172], and [G2532] judges [G2923]! the [G3588] to turn anger [G3709] of rage [G2372] of our God '[G2316][G1473] from [G1537] us [G1473], on account of [G4012] the [G3588] this matter [G4487][G3778].
15: Only [G4133] Jonathan son [G5207] of Asahel and [G2532] Jahaziah son [G5207] of Tikvah [were] with [G3326] me [G1473]; and [G2532] Meshullam and [G2532] Shabbethai the [G3588] Levite assisted them [G1473].
16: And [G2532] did [G4160] thus [G3779] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of the [G3588] resettlement . And [G2532] drew apart [G1291] Ezra the [G3588] priest [G2409], and [G2532] men rulers of families [G3965] of the [G3588] households [G3624], and [G2532] all [G3956] by [G1722] names [G3686], for [G3754] they returned [G1994] on [G1722] day [G2250] one [G1520] of the [G3588] month [G3376] the [G3588] tenth [G1181] to inquire [G1567] of the [G3588] matter [G4487].
17: And [G2532] they finished [G5055] with [questioning [G1722] all [G3956] men the [G3588] sitting down with [G2523] wives [G1135] alien until [G2193] day [G2250] one [G1520] of the [G3588] month [G3376] the [G3588] first [G4413].
18: And [G2532] there were found [G2147] off sons [G5207] of the [G3588] priests [G2409], the [G3588] [ones] sitting down with [G2523] wives [G1135] alien , [some] off sons [G5207] of Jeshua son [G5207] of Jozadak, and [G2532] of brothers of him [G1473] Maaseiah, and [G2532] Eliezer, and [G2532] Jarib, and [G2532] Gedaliah.
19: And [G2532] they gave [G1325] their hand [in pledge [G5495][G1473] the [G3588] to bring forth [G1627] their own wives [G1135][G1438]; and [they gave [G2532] trespass [offerings -- a ram of [G1537] sheep [G4263] for [G4012] their trespass [offering [G1473].
20: And [G2532] off sons [G5207] of Immer -- Hanani and [G2532] Zebadiah.
21: And [G2532] off sons [G5207] of Harim -- Maaseiah, and [G2532] Elijah, and [G2532] Shemaiah, and [G2532] Jehiel, and [G2532] Uzziah.
22: And [G2532] off sons [G5207] of Phasur -- Elioenai, Maaseiah, Ishmael, and [G2532] Nathaneel, and [G2532] Jozabad and [G2532] Elasah.
23: And [G2532] off the [G3588] Levites -- Jozabad, and [G2532] Shemei, and [G2532] Kelaiah -- he [is [G1473] Kelita, and [G2532] Pethahiah, and [G2532] Judah, and [G2532] Eliezer.
24: And [G2532] off the [G3588] singers -- Eliashib. And [G2532] off the [G3588] gatekeepers -- willum, and [G2532] Telem, and [G2532] Uri.
25: And [G2532] off Israel, off sons [G5207] of Parosh -- Ramiah, and [G2532] Jeziah, and [G2532] Malchiah, and [G2532] Miamin, and [G2532] Eleazar, and [G2532] Malchijah, and [G2532] Benaiah.
26: And [G2532] off sons [G5207] of Elam -- Mattaniah, and [G2532] Zechariah, and [G2532] Jehiel, and [G2532] Abdi, and [G2532] Jeremoth, and [G2532] Eliah.
27: And [G2532] off the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Zattu -- Elioenai, Eliashib, Mattaniah, and [G2532] Jeremoth, and [G2532] Zabad, and [G2532] Aziza.
28: And [G2532] off the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Bebai -- Jehohanan, and [G2532] Hananiah, and [G2532] Zabbai, and [G2532] Athlai.
29: And [G2532] off the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Bani -- Meshullam, and [G2532] Malluch, and [G2532] Adaiah, and [G2532] Jashub, and [G2532] Sheal, and [G2532] Ramoth.
30: And [G2532] off the [G3588] sons [G5207] Pahath-moab -- Adna, and [G2532] Chelal, and [G2532] Benaiah, and [G2532] Maaseiah, and [G2532] Matthaniah, and [G2532] Bezaleel, and [G2532] Binnui, and [G2532] Manasseh.
31: And [G2532] off the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Harim -- Eliezer, Ishijah, Malchiah, Shemaiah, Shimeon,
32: Benjamin, Malluch, and [G2532] Shemariah.
33: And [G2532] off the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Hashum -- Mattenai, Mattathah, Zabad, Eliphelet, Jeremai, Manasseh, and [G2532] Shimei.
34: And [G2532] off the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Bani -- Maadai, Amram, and [G2532] Uel,
35: Benaiah, Bedeiah, Chelluh,
36: Vaniah, Meremoth, Eliashib,
37: Mattaniah, and [G2532] Mattenai.
38: And [G2532] [so] did [G4160] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Bani and [G2532] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Shimei,
39: and [G2532] Shelemiah, and [G2532] Nathan, and [G2532] Adaiah,
40: and [G2532] Machnadebai, and [G2532] Sharai, and [G2532] Shashai
41: Azareel, and [G2532] Shelemiah, and [G2532] Shemariah,
42: and [G2532] willum, and [G2532] Amariah, and [G2532] Joseph.
43: From sons [G5207] of Nebo -- Jeiel, Mattithiah, Zabad, Zebina, Jadau, Joel, and [G2532] Benaiah.
44: All [G3956] these [G3778] took [G2983] wives [G1135] alien ; and [G2532] also there are [G1161] of [G1537] them [G1473] of the [G3588] wives [G1135] in which [G3739] they engendered [G1080] of [G1537] them [G1473] sons [G5207].
