Exodus Chapter 18 - | Early Church Bible

1: heard And [G1161] Jethro the [G3588] priest [G2409] of Midian the [G3588] father-in-law of Moses] all [G3956] as much as [G3745] BOSS did [G4160][G2962] to Israel, to the [G3588] his own [G1438] people [G2992]; led [G1806] for [G1063] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] Israel out of [G1537] Egypt.
2: took [G2983] And [G1161] Jethro the [G3588] father-in-law of Moses] Zipporah the [G3588] wife [G1135] of Moses after [G3326] the [G3588] her release [G1473],
3: and [G2532] the [G3588] two [G1417] sons [G5207] of of him '[G1473] -- name [G3686] to the [G3588] [one] [G1520] [was] Gershom, saying [G3004], I was a sojourner [G3941] in [G1722] land '[G1093] an alien .
4: And [G2532] the [G3588] name [G3686] of the [G3588] second [G1208] [was] Eliezer, saying [G3004], For the [G3588][G1063] God '[G2316] of the [G3588] father [G3962] of me [G1473] [is] my helper [G1473], and [G2532] he rescued [G1807] me [G1473] from out of [G1537] hand [G5495] of Pharaoh.
5: And [G2532] came forth [G2064] Jethro, the [G3588] father-in-law of Moses, and [G2532] the [G3588] sons [G5207], and [G2532] the [G3588] wife [G1135], to [G4314] Moses, into [G1519] the [G3588] wilderness [G2048] of which [place] [G3739] he camped at [G1909] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] of the [G3588] God '[G2316].
6: And it was announced [G1161] to Moses, saying [G3004], look [G2400], the [G3588] your father-in-law [G1473] Jethro comes [G3854] to [G4314] you [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] woman [G1135] of you [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] two [G1417] sons [G5207] your [G1473] with [G3326] him [G1473].
7: came forth [G1831] And [G1161] Moses] to [G1519] meet with [G4877] the [G3588] his father-in-law [G1473]; and [G2532] he did obeisance [G4352] to him [G1473], and [G2532] he kissed [G5368] him [G1473], and [G2532] they greeted one another , and [G2532] he brought [G1521] them [G1473] into [G1519] the [G3588] tent [G4633].
8: And [G2532] Moses described [G1334] [to the [G3588] his father-in-law [G1473] all [G3956] as much as [G3745] BOSS did [G4160][G2962] the [G3588] to Pharaoh, and [G2532] to the [G3588] Egyptians, on account [G1752] of the [G3588] Israel; and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] trouble [G3449], the [G3588] [one] coming [G1096] to them [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] way [G3598]; and [G2532] that [G3754] rescued [G1807] them [G1473] Boss '[G2962] from out of [G1537] hand [G5495] of Pharaoh, and [G2532] from out of [G1537] hand [G5495] of the [G3588] Egyptians.
9: was amazed [G1839] And [G1161] Jethro] by [G1909] all [G3956] the [G3588] good [things] which [G3739] did [G4160] to them [G1473] Boss '[G2962]; that [G3754] rescued [G1807] them [G1473] Boss '[G2962] from out of [G1537] hand [G5495] of the [G3588] Egyptians, and [G2532] from out of [G1537] hand [G5495] of Pharaoh.
10: And [G2532] Jethro said [G2036], Blessed be [G2128] Boss '[G2962], for [G3754] he rescued [G1807] the [G3588] his people [G2992][G1473] from out of [G1537] hand [G5495] of the [G3588] Egyptians, and [G2532] from out of [G1537] hand [G5495] of Pharaoh.
11: Now [G3568] I know [G1097] that [G3754] BOSS [is] great [G3173][G2962] above [G3844] all [G3956] the [G3588] gods '[G2316], because of [G1752] of this [G3778] -- that [G3754] they made an attempt [G2007] [against] them [G1473].
12: And [G2532] took [G2983] Jethro the [G3588] father-in-law of Moses] whole burnt-offerings [G3646], and [G2532] sacrifices [G2378] the [G3588] to God '[G2316]. came [G3854] For [G1161] Aaron and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] elders [G4245] of Israel] to eat [G4906] bread with [G3326] the [G3588] father-in-law of Moses before [G1726] the [G3588] God '[G2316].
13: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] after [G3326] the [G3588] next day [G1887], Moses sat down [G4776] to judge [G2919] the [G3588] people [G2992], stood by [G3936] and [G1161] all [G3956] the [G3588] people [G2992] Moses from morning until [G2193] evening [G2073].
14: And [G2532] Jethro seeing [G1492] all [G3956] as much as [G3745] he did [G4160] to the [G3588] people [G2992], says [G3004], What [G5100] is this [G3778] which [G3739] you [G1473] do [G4160] to the [G3588] people [G2992]? Why [G1302] do you [G1473] sit down [G2521] alone [G3441], and all [G3956][G1161] the [G3588] people [G2992] stand by [G3936] you [G1473] from morning until [G2193] afternoon ?
15: And [G2532] Moses says [G3004] [to the [G3588] his father-in-law [G1473], Because [G3754] come [G3854] to [G4314] me [G1473] the [G3588] people [G2992] to seek after [G1567] a judgment [G2920] from [G3844] the [G3588] God '[G2316].
16: For whenever [G3752][G1063] there is [G1096] to them [G1473] a dispute , and [G2532] they should come [G2064] to [G4314] me [G1473], I litigate [G1252] each [G1538], and [G2532] I instruct [G4822] them [G1473] in the [G3588] orders of the [G3588] God '[G2316], and [G2532] the [G3588] his law [G3551][G1473].
17: said [G2036] And [G1161] the [G3588] father-in-law [to the [G3588] Moses to [G4314] him [G1473], Not [G3756] rightly [G3723] do you [G1473] do [G4160] the [G3588] this thing [G4487][G3778].
18: corruption [G5356] will be corrupted [G2704] in unsufferable And [G2532] you [G1473], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] this people [G2992][G3778], which [G3739] is with [G3326] you [G1473]. [is] heavy on you [G1473] the [G3588] This thing [G4487][G3778], you will not [G3756] be able [G1410] to act [G4160] yourself [G1473] alone [G3441].
19: Now [G3568] then [G3767] hear me [G1473]! and [G2532] I [will] advise [G4823] you [G1473], and [G2532] God will be the [G3588][G2316] with [G3326] you [G1473]. You become [G1096][G1473] to the [G3588] people [G2992], the [one] the [G3588] before [G4314] the [G3588] God '[G2316]! and [G2532] you will offer the [G3588]ir words [G3056][G1473] to [G4314] the [G3588] God '[G2316].
20: And [G2532] you will testify [G1263] to them [G1473] the [G3588] orders of the [G3588] God '[G2316], and [G2532] the [G3588] his law [G3551][G1473], and [G2532] you will signify [G4591] to them [G1473] the [G3588] ways [G3598] in [G1722] which [G3739] they will go [G4198] by [G1722] them [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] works [G2041] which [G3739] they will do [G4160].
21: And [G2532] you [G1473] yourself [G4572] look about all [G3956] the [G3588] people [G2992] for men mighty [G1415] and [G2532] godly [G2318]! men just [G1342] detesting [G3404] pride [G5243]. And [G2532] you will place [G2525] them [G1473] over [G1909] them [G1473] commanders of thousands [G5506], and [G2532] commanders of hundreds [G1543], and [G2532] commanders of fifties , and [G2532] commanders of tens .
22: And [G2532] they will judge [G2919] the [G3588] people [G2992] at every [G3956] hour [G5610]. But the [G3588][G1161] thing [G4487] the [G3588] enormous [G5246] they will offer unto [G1909] you [G1473]; but the [G3588][G1161] little [matters [G1024] of the [G3588] judgments [G2917], they will judge [G2919] them [G1473]; and [G2532] they will lighten [the load [G2893] from you [G1473], and [G2532] will give aid [G4878] to you [G1473].
23: If [G1437] the [G3588] this thing [G4487][G3778] you do [G4160], then [G2532] will strengthen [G2729] you [G1473] the [G3588] God '[G2316], and [G2532] you will be able [G1410] to stand [G3936], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] this people [G2992][G3778] will come [G2240] unto [G1519] the [G3588] [their] own [G1438] place [G5117] with [G3326] peace [G1515].
24: hearkened And [G1161] Moses] to the [G3588] voice [G5456] of the [G3588] his father-in-law [G1473], and [G2532] he did [G4160] as much as [G3745] he said [G2036] to him [G1473].
25: And [G2532] Moses chose [G1951] men mighty [G1415] from all [G3956] Israel, and [G2532] appointed [G4160] them [G1473] over [G1909] them [G1473] [as] commanders of thousands [G5506], and [G2532] commanders of hundreds [G1543], and [G2532] commanders of fifties , and [G2532] commanders of tens , and [G2532] judicial recorders .
26: And [G2532] they judged [G2919] the [G3588] people [G2992] every [G3956] hour [G5610], but the [G3588][G1161] matter [G4487] the [G3588] enormous [G5246] they offered to [G1909] Moses. But every [G3956][G1161] matter [G4487] light [G1645] they judged [G2919] themselves [G1473].
27: sent out [G1821] And [G1161] Moses the [G3588] his own [G1438] father-in-law , and [G2532] he went forth unto [G1519] the [G3588] his land '[G1093][G1473].
