Deuteronomy Chapter 22 - | Early Church Bible

1: In [G3361] looking [at] [G1492] the [G3588] calf [G3448] of the [G3588] your brother [G1473] or [G2228] of the [G3588] his sheep [G4263][G1473] wandering [G4105] in [G1722] the [G3588] way [G3598], do not overlook [G5237] them [G1473]; by returning you will return them [G1473] [to the [G3588] your brother [G1473], and [G2532] you will give them back [G1473] to him [G1473].
2: And if [G1437][G1161] [is] not [G3361] near [G1448] the [G3588] your brother [G1473] to [G4314] you [G1473], nor [G3366] do you know [G1987] him [G1473], you will bring [G4863] them [G1473] inside into [G1519] the [G3588] your house [G3614][G1473]; and [G2532] it will be with [G3326] you [G1473] until [G2193] whenever should seek [G2212] them [G1473] the [G3588] your brother [G1473], and [G2532] you will give them back [G1473] to him [G1473].
3: So [G3779] will you do [G4160] for the [G3588] his donkey [G3688][G1473], and [G2532] so [G3779] you will do [G4160] for the [G3588] his garment [G2440][G1473], and [G2532] so [G3779] you will do [G4160] according to [G2596] all [G3956] loss of the [G3588] your brother [G1473]; as much [G3745] as should perish of [G3844] of him '[G1473], and [G2532] you should find [G2147] them [G1473], you will not [G3756] be able [G1410] to overlook [G5237].
4: You will not [G3756] see [G3708] the [G3588] donkey [G3688] of the [G3588] your brother [G1473], or [G2228] the [G3588] his calf [G3448][G1473] fallen [G4098] in [G1722] the [G3588] way [G3598], and not [G3361] overlook [G5237] them [G1473]; by raising you will raise [them] up for [G3326] him [G1473].
5: will not [G3756] be items [G4632] of a man upon [G1909] a woman [G1135], nor [should put on [G1746] a man apparel [G4749] feminine [G1134], for [G3754] an abomination [to the] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] your God '[G2316][G1473] is every one [G3956] doing [G4160] these [things] [G3778].
6: And if [G1437][G1161] you should meet with [G4876] a nest [G3555] of birds [G3732] before [G4253] face [G4383] of you [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] way [G3598], or [G2228] upon [G1909] any [G3956] tree [G1186], or [G2228] upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093] -- young [chicks [G3502] or [G2228] eggs [G5609], and [G2532] the [G3588] mother [G3384] should be incubating [G2282] upon [G1909] the [G3588] young [G3502], or [G2228] upon [G1909] the [G3588] eggs [G5609], you will not [G3756] take [G2983] the [G3588] mother [G3384] with [G3326] of the [G3588]fspring [G5043].
7: By discharge you will send off the [G3588] mother [G3384], but the [G3588][G1161] offspring [G3813] you will take [G2983] to yourself [G4572]; that [G2443] good [G2095] for you [G1473] it should be [G1096], and [G2532] of many days you will be .
8: And if [G1437][G1161] you should build [G3618] house [G3614] a new [G2537], then [G2532] you will make [G4160] a rim for the [G3588] your roof [G1430][G1473], and [G2532] you will not [G3756] cause [G4160] carnage [G5408] in [G1722] the [G3588] your house [G3614][G1473] if [G1437] should fall [G4098] the [G3588] [one] falling [G4098] from it [G1473].
9: You will not [G3756] scatter abroad the [G3588] your vineyard [G1473] diverse [seed [G1313], that [G2443] should not [G3361] be sanctified the [G3588] produce [G1081], and [G2532] the [G3588] seed [G4690] which [G3739] ever you should sow [G4687] with [G3326] the [G3588] produce [G1081] of the [G3588] your vineyard [G1473].
10: You will not [G3756] plow with [G1722] a calf [G3448] and [G2532] donkey [G3688] upon [G1909] the [G3588] same [yoke [G1473].
11: You will not [G3756] put on [G1746] commingled wool [G2053] and [G2532] flax [G3043] upon [G1909] the [G3588] same [garment [G1473].
12: A twisted [fringe you will make [G4160] for yourself [G4572] upon [G1909] the [G3588] four [G5064] decorative hems [G2899] of the [G3588] your wrap-around garments [G4018][G1473], which [G3739] ever you should put around yourself [G4016] by [G1722] them [G1473].
13: And if [G1437][G1161] any [G5100] should take [G2983] a wife [G1135], and [G2532] should live with [G4924] her [G1473], and [G2532] should detest [G3404] her [G1473],
14: and [G2532] should place upon [G2007] her [G1473] offered as an excuse words [G3056], and [G2532] should bring upon [G2702] her [G1473] name [G3686] a bad [G4190], and [G2532] should say [G3004], the [G3588] woman [G1135] this [G3778] I took [G2983], and [G2532] drawing near [G4334] to her [G1473], I did not [G3756] find [G2147] her [G1473] tokens of virginity .
15: And [G2532] taking [G2983], the [G3588] father [G3962] of the [G3588] child [G3816] and [G2532] the [G3588] mother [G3384], they will bring forth [G1627] the [G3588] tokens of the virginity of the [G3588] child [G3816] to [G4314] the [G3588] council of elders [G1087] at [G1909] the [G3588] gate [G4439].
16: And [G2532] will say [G2046] the [G3588] father [G3962] of the [G3588] child [G3816] to the [G3588] council of elders [G1087], the [G3588] daughter [G2364] of mine [G1473] This [G3778] I gave [G1325] the [G3588] to this man [G3778] as wife [G1135], and [G2532] he is detesting [G3404] her [G1473].
17: He [G1473] now [G3568] places upon [G2007] her [G1473] offered as an excuse words [G3056], saying [G3004], I did not [G3756] find [G2147] of the [G3588] daughter [G2364] of you [G1473] tokens of virginity ; and [G2532] these are [G3778] the [G3588] tokens of virginity of the [G3588] my daughter [G2364][G1473]. And [G2532] they will unfold the [G3588] garment [worn by her [G2440] before [G1726] the [G3588] council of elders [G1087] of the [G3588] city [G4172].
18: And [G2532] will take [G2983] the [G3588] council of elders [G1087] of the [G3588] that city [G4172][G1565] the [G3588] that man [G1473], and [G2532] they will correct [G3811] him [G1473],
19: and [G2532] will penalize [G2210] him [G1473] a hundred [G1540] shekels , and [G2532] will give them [G1325] to the [G3588] father [G3962] of the [G3588] young woman , because [G3754] he brought [G1627] name [G3686] a bad [G4190] upon [G1909] an Israelite virgin [G3933], and [G2532] she will be of him '[G1473] wife [G1135]; he will not [G3756] be able [G1410] to send [G1821] her away [G1473] the [G3588] at any time [G5550].
20: But if [G1437][G1161] in [G1909] truth be [G1096] the [G3588] this word [G3056][G3778], and [G2532] should not [G3361] be found [G2147] tokens of virginity to the [G3588] young woman ;
21: then [G2532] they will lead [G1806] the [G3588] young woman unto [G1909] the [G3588] doors [G2374] the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] her father's [G3962][G1473], and [G2532] will stone [G3036] her [G1473] with stones [G3037] the [G3588] men of the [G3588] her city [G4172][G1473], and [G2532] she will die ; for [G3754] she did [G4160] folly among [G1722] sons [G5207] of Israel, to fornicate [G1608] the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] her father [G3962][G1473]. And [G2532] you will lift away [G1808] the [G3588] wicked [G4190] from [G1537] yourselves [G1473] of them [G1473].
22: And if [G1437][G1161] should be found [G2147] a man going to bed [G2837] with [G3326] a wife [G1135] living with a husband , you will kill both , the [G3588] man the [G3588] going to bed [G2837] with [G3326] the [G3588] wife [G1135], and [G2532] the [G3588] wife [G1135]; and [G2532] you will lift away [G1808] the [G3588] wickedness [G4190] from [G1537] Israel.
23: And if [G1437][G1161] there be [G1096] child [G3816] a virgin [G3933] being espoused [G3423] to a man , and [G2532] finding [G2147] her [G1473] a man in [G1722] city [G4172] should have gone to bed [G2837] with [G3326] her [G1473];
24: you will lead out [G1806] both unto [G1909] the [G3588] gate [G4439] of the [G3588]ir city [G4172][G1473], and [G2532] they will be stoned [G3036] with [G1722] stones [G3037], and [G2532] they will die ; the [G3588] young woman , for [G3754] she did not [G3756] yell out in [G1722] the [G3588] city [G4172]; and [G2532] the [G3588] man , for [G3754] he humbled [G5013] the [G3588] wife [G1135] of the [G3588] his neighbor [G4139][G1473]; and [G2532] you will lift away [G1808] the [G3588] evil [G4190] from [G1537] yourselves [G1473] of them [G1473].
25: But if [G1437][G1161] in [G1722] a plain should find [G2147] a man the [G3588] a girl [G3816], the [G3588] being espoused [G3423]; and [G2532] using force should go to bed [G2837] with [G3326] her [G1473], you will kill the [G3588] man , the [G3588] [one] going to bed [G2837] with [G3326] her [G1473] only [G3440];
26: for the [G3588][G1161] young woman will not [G3756] do [G4160] anything [G3762], there is no [G3756] to the [G3588] young woman sin [worthy of] death [G2288]. For [G3754] as [G5613] if any [G1536] should rise up [G1881] man against [G1909] the [G3588] neighbor [G4139] of him [G1473], and [G2532] should do murder [G5407] [taking] of him '[G1473] life [G5590], thus [G3779] the [G3588] this thing [G4229][G3778],
27: for [G3754] in [G1722] the [G3588] field he found [G2147] her [G1473]; yelled the [G3588] young woman the [G3588] being espoused [G3423], and [G2532] was there no one [G3756] the [G3588] helping her [G1473].
28: And if [G1437][G1161] any [G5100] should find [G2147] the [G3588] child [G3816] the [G3588] virgin [G3933], whoever [G3748] was not [G3756] espoused [G3423], and [G2532] using force on her [G1473], he went to bed [G2837] with [G3326] her [G1473], and [G2532] he should be found [G2147],
29: will give [G1325] the [G3588] man the [G3588] going to bed [G2837] with [G3326] her [G1473] to the [G3588] father [G3962] of the [G3588] young woman fifty [G4004] double-drachmas [G1323] of silver , and [G2532] she will be of him '[G1473] wife [G1135], because he humbled [G5013] her [G1473]; he will not be able [G3756][G1410] to send [G1821] her away [G1473] the [G3588] at any time [G5550].
30: will not [G3756] take [G2983] A man the [G3588] wife [G1135] of the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473], and [G2532] will not [G3756] uncover marriage veil of the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473].
