Daniel Chapter 1 - | Early Church Bible

1: In [G1722] year [G2094] third [G5154] of the [G3588] government ' of Jehoiakim king of Judah came [G2064] Nebuchadnezzar the [G3588] king of Babylon unto [G1519] Jerusalem, and [G2532] assaulted it [G1473].
2: And [G2532] BOSS gave [G1325][G2962] into [G1722] his hand [G5495][G1473] the [G3588] Jehoiakim king of Judah, and [G2532] from part [G3313] of the [G3588] items [G4632] of house [G3624] of BOSS [G2532]. And [G2532] he brought [G5342] them [G1473] into [G1519] land '[G1093] of Shinar of house [G3624] of the [G3588] his god [G2316][G1473]. And [G2532] the [G3588] items [G4632] he carried [G1533] into [G1519] the [G3588] house [G3624] of treasury [G2344] of the [G3588] his god [G2316][G1473].
3: And [G2532] told [G2036] the [G3588] king the [G3588] Ashpenaz the [G3588] his chief eunuch [G1473] to bring in [G1521] [some] from the [G3588] sons [G5207] of the [G3588] captivity of Israel, and [G2532] from the [G3588] seed [G4690] of the [G3588] royalty , and [G2532] from the [G3588] nobles ;
4: young men [G3495] to whom [G3739] there is no [G3756] upon [G1722] them [G1473] blemish [G3470], and [G2532] good [G2570] to the [G3588] appearance [G3799], and [G2532] perceiving [G4920] in [G1722] all [G3956] wisdom [G4678], and [G2532] knowing [G1097] knowledge [G1108], and [G2532] considering in intelligence [G5428], and [G2532] ones in whom [G3739] there is strength [G2479] in [G1722] them [G1473] to stand [G2476] in [G1722] the [G3588] house [G3624] before [G1799] the [G3588] king , [G2532] to teach [G1321] them [G1473] letters [G1121] and [G2532] language [G1100] of the Chaldeans.
5: And [G2532] set in order [G1299] to them [G1473] the [G3588] king the [G3588] [G3588] day [G2250] by [G2596] day [G2250] from the [G3588] table [G5132] of the [G3588] king , and [G2532] from the [G3588] wine [G3631] of the [G3588] his banquet [G4224]; and [G2532] to maintain [G5142] them [G1473] years [G2094] for three [G5140], and [G2532] after [G3326] these [things] [G3778] to stand [them [G2476] before [G1799] the [G3588] king .
6: And [G2532] there existed [G1096] among [G1722] them [G1473] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Judah, Daniel, and [G2532] Hananiah, and [G2532] Mishael, and [G2532] Azariah.
7: And [G2532] added [G2007] to them [G1473] the [G3588] chief eunuch names [G3686]; [to the [G3588] Daniel -- Belteshazzar, and [G2532] [to the [G3588] Hananiah -- Shadrach, and [G2532] [to the [G3588] Mishael -- Meshach, and [G2532] [to the [G3588] Azariah -- Abed-nego.
8: And [G2532] Daniel put [G5087] unto [G1909] the [G3588] his heart [G2588][G1473] so as [G5613] in no way he should be polluted in [G1722] the [G3588] table [G5132] of the [G3588] king , and [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] wine [G3631] of the [G3588] his banquet [G4224][G1473]. And [G2532] he petitioned the [G3588] chief eunuch so that [G5613] in no way he should be polluted .
9: And [G2532] God granted [G1325] the [G3588][G2316] the [G3588] Daniel for [G1519] compassion [G1656] and [G2532] compassion [G3628] before [G1799] the [G3588] chief eunuch .
10: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] chief eunuch [to the [G3588] Daniel, I fear [G5399][G1473] the [G3588] my boss [G2962][G1473] the [G3588] king , the [G3588] [one] arraying the [G3588] your food [G1035][G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] your drink [G4213][G1473], lest at any time [G3379] he should look [at] [G1492] the [G3588] your faces [G4383][G1473] looking downcast [G4659] more than [G3844] the [G3588] boys [G3808], the [G3588] [ones] of your contemporaries [G1473]; and [G2532] you should condemn [G2613] the [G3588] my head [G2776][G1473] to the [G3588] king .
11: And [G2532] Daniel said [G2036] to [G4314] Melzar, whom [G3739] placed [G2525] the [G3588] chief eunuch over [G1909] Daniel, and [G2532] Hananiah, and [G2532] Mishael, and [G2532] Azariah.
12: Test [G3985] now indeed [G1211] the [G3588] your servants [G3816][G1473] days [G2250] ten [G1176]; and [G2532] let there be given [G1325] to us [G1473] from [food of the] seeds [G4690] of the [G3588] land '[G1093]! and [G2532] we will eat [of it [G2068], and [G2532] water [G5204] we will drink [G4095].
13: And [G2532] let be seen [G3708] before [G1799] you [G1473] the [G3588] our shape [G2397][G1473]! and [G2532] the [G3588] shapes [G2397] of the [G3588] boys [G3808] of the [G3588] [ones] eating [G2068] at the [G3588] table [G5132] of the [G3588] king . And [G2532] how [G2531] ever [G1437] you should look [at] [G1492], do [G4160] accordingly with [G3326] the [G3588] your servants [G3816]!
14: And [G2532] he hearkened to [G1522] them [G1473], and [G2532] he tested [G3985] them [G1473] days [G2250] ten [G1176].
15: And [G2532] after [G3326] the [G3588] end [G5056] of the [G3588] ten [G1176] days [G2250] looked [G3708] the [G3588]ir shape [G2397][G1473] good and [G2532] strong [G2478] the [G3588] in flesh [G4561] above [G5228] all [G3956] the [G3588] boys [G3808] the [G3588] eating [G2068] at the [G3588] table [G5132] of the [G3588] king .
16: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] Melzar did away with the [G3588]ir supper [G1173][G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] wine [G3631] for the [G3588]ir drink [G4188][G1473], and [G2532] he gave [G1325] to them [G1473] [food of the] seeds [G4690].
17: And [G2532] gave [G1325] to them [G1473] the [G3588] God '[G2316] understanding [G4907] and [G2532] intelligence [G5428] in [G1722] all [G3956] academics , and [G2532] wisdom [G4678]. And [G2532] Daniel perceived [G4920] in [G1722] every [G3956] vision [G3706] and [G2532] in dreams [G1798].
18: And [G2532] after [G3326] the [G3588] end [G5056] of the [G3588] days [G2250] which [G3739] told [G2036] the [G3588] king to bring them in [G1521][G1473], that [G2532] brought them in [G1521][G1473] the [G3588] chief eunuch before [G1726] Nebuchadnezzar.
19: And [G2532] spoke [G2980] with [G3326] them [G1473] the [G3588] king ; and [G2532] there was not found [G3756][G2147] from out of [G1537] all [G3956] of them [G1473] [one] likened to [G3664] Daniel, and [G2532] Hananiah, and [G2532] Mishael, and [G2532] Azariah; and [G2532] they stood [G2476] before [G1799] the [G3588] king .
20: And [G2532] in [G1722] every [G3956] discourse [G4487] of wisdom [G4678] and [G2532] higher knowledge , as much as [G3745] sought [G2212] from [G3844] them [G1473] the [G3588] king , he found [G2147] them [G1473] ten-times more than [G3844] all [G3956] of the [G3588] enchanters , and [G2532] the [G3588] magi [G3097], the [G3588] [ones] being in [G1722] all [G3956] of the [G3588] his government '[G1473].
21: And [G2532] Daniel existed [G1096] until [G2193] year [G2094] one [G1520] of Cyrus ["Boss" [G2962] the [G3588] king .
