2 Chronicles Chapter 35 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] Josiah observed [G4160] the [G3588] passover in [G1722] Jerusalem to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] his God '[G2316][G1473]. And [G2532] he sacrificed [G2380] the [G3588] passover on the [G3588] fourteenth [G5065] of the [G3588] month [G3376] the [G3588] first [G4413].
2: And [G2532] he stationed [G2476] the [G3588] priests [G2409] at [G1909] the [G3588]ir watches [G5438][G1473], and [G2532] he strengthened [G2729] them [G1473] for [G1519] the [G3588] works [G2041] of house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962].
3: And [G2532] he spoke [G2036] to the [G3588] Levites, to the [G3588] mighty ones [G1415] in [G1722] all [G3956] Israel, the [G3588] to sanctify themselves [G1473] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] the [G3588] to put [G1325] the [G3588] ark [G2787] the [G3588] pure ' in [G1722] house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962]. And [G2532] they put [G5087] the [G3588] ark [G2787] the [G3588] pure ' in [G1519] the [G3588] house [G3624] which [G3739] built [G3618] Solomon son [G5207] of David the [G3588] king of Israel]. And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] king , It not [G3756] is for you [G1473] to lift upon [G1909] [your] shoulders [G5606] anything [G3762]. Now [G3568] then [G3767], you officiate [G3008] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473], and [G2532] [to the [G3588] his people [G2992][G1473] Israel!
4: And [G2532] be prepared [G2090] according to [G2596] houses [G3624] of your families [G3965][G1473], and [G2532] according to [G2596] the [G3588] your daily rotations [G2183][G1473], according to [G2596] the [G3588] writing [G1124] of David king of Israel, and [G2532] by [G1223] hand [G5495] of Solomon son [G5207] of him [G1473]!
5: And [G2532] stand [G2476] in [G1722] the [G3588] house [G3624] according to [G2596] the [G3588] divisions [G1243] of houses [G3624] of your families [G3965][G1473], the [G3588] of your brothers [G1473], sons [G5207] of the [G3588] people [G2992], and [G2532] portion [G3310] of the house [G3624] of family [G3965] to the [G3588] Levites!
6: And [G2532] sacrifice [G2380] the [G3588] passover , and [G2532] the [G3588] holy [things] prepare [G2090] for the [G3588] your brothers [G1473]! the [G3588] to observe [G4160] according to [G2596] the [G3588] word [G3056] of Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] by [G1223] hand [G5495] of Moses.
7: And [G2532] Josiah dedicated [for] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of the [G3588] people [G2992] -- sheep [G4263], and [G2532] lambs , and [G2532] kids [G2056] from the [G3588] sons [G5207] of the [G3588] goats , all [G3956] for [G1519] the [G3588] passover , to everyone [G3956] the [G3588] being found [G2147] -- in [G1519] number thirty [G5144] thousand [G5505], and [G2532] calves [G3448] three [G5140] thousand [G5505]. These [were [G3778] off the [G3588] substance [G5223] of the [G3588] king .
8: And [G2532] the [G3588] his rulers [G1473] dedicated to the [G3588] people [G2992], and [G2532] to the [G3588] priests [G2409], and [G2532] to the [G3588] Levites; and [G2532] Helkiah and [G2532] Zechariah and [G2532] Jeiel the [G3588] rulers of house [G3624] of the [G3588] God '[G2316] gave [G1325] to the [G3588] priests [G2409] for [G1519] the [G3588] passover -- sheeps [G4263] and [G2532] lambs and [G2532] kids [G2056] -- two thousand [G1367] and [G2532] six hundred [G1812], and [G2532] calves [G3448] three hundred [G5145].
9: And [G2532] Conaniah, and [G2532] Shemaiah, and [G2532] Nethaneel his brother [G1473], and [G2532] Hashabiah, and [G2532] Jehiel, and [G2532] Jozabad, rulers of the [G3588] Levites, dedicated to the [G3588] Levites for [G1519] the [G3588] passover -- sheep [G4263] five thousand [G4000], and [G2532] calves [G3448] five hundred [G4001].
10: And [G2532] was set up the [G3588] ministration [G3009], and [G2532] stood [G2476] the [G3588] priests [G2409] at [G1909] the [G3588]ir station [G4714][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] Levites in [G1909] the [G3588]ir divisions [G1243][G1473], according to [G2596] the [G3588] commandment [G1785] of the [G3588] king .
11: And [G2532] they sacrificed [G2380] the [G3588] passover . And [G2532] poured the [G3588] priests [G2409] the [G3588] blood from out of [G1537] their hand [G5495][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] Levites flayed .
12: And [G2532] they prepared [G2090] the [G3588] whole burnt-offering , to deliver [G3860] them [G1473] according to [G2596] the [G3588] division [G1243], according to [G2596] houses [G3624] of families [G3965] to the [G3588] sons [G5207] of the [G3588] people [G2992], the [G3588] to offer [G4374] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], as [G5613] it is written [G1125] in [G1722] book of Moses. And [G2532] so [it was [G3779] into [G1519] the morning [G4404].
13: And [G2532] they roasted the [G3588] passover in [G1722] fire [G4442] according to [G2596] the [G3588] ordinance [G2920]. And [G2532] the [G3588] holy [pieces they boiled in [G1722] the [G3588] brass cauldrons , and [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] kettles . And [G2532] way prospered [G2137], and [G2532] they ran [it [G5143] to [G4314] all [G3956] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of the [G3588] people [G2992].
14: And [G2532] after [G3326] this [G3778] they prepared [G2090] for themselves [G1438], and [G2532] for the [G3588] priests [G2409] (for [G3754] the [G3588] priests [G2409], sons [G5207] of Aaron, in [G1722] offering of the [G3588] whole burnt-offerings [G3646] and [G2532] of the [G3588] fat, ) until [G2193] night [G3571]. And [G2532] the [G3588] Levites prepared [G2090] for themselves [G1438], and [G2532] [for the [G3588]ir brothers [G1473] sons [G5207] of Aaron.
15: And [G2532] the [G3588] psalm singers , sons [G5207] of Asaph were at [G1909] the [G3588]ir station [G4714][G1473], according to [G2596] the [G3588] commands [G1785] of David, [and] Asaph, and [G2532] Heman, and [G2532] Jeduthun of the [G3588] prophets [G4396] of the [G3588] king ; and [G2532] the [G3588] rulers , and [G2532] the [G3588] gatekeepers , [were stationed] gate [G4439] by [G2532] gate [G4439]; it was not [G3756] for them [G1473] to move [G2795] from the [G3588]ir ministration [G3009][G1473], for [G3754] the [G3588]ir brothers [G1473] the [G3588] Levites prepared [G2090] for them [G1473].
16: And [G2532] was set up all [G3956] the [G3588] ministration [G3009] [of the] Boss '[G2962] in [G1722] the [G3588] that day [G2250][G1565], the [G3588] to observe [G4160] the [G3588] passover , and [G2532] to offer [G5342] the [G3588] whole burnt-offerings [G3646] upon [G1909] the [G3588] altar [G2379] of Boss '[G2962], according to [G2596] the [G3588] command [G1785] of the [G3588] king Josiah.
17: And [G2532] observed [G4160] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel the [G3588] being found [present [G2147] the [G3588] passover at [G1537] the [G3588] that time [G2540][G1565], and [G2532] the [G3588] holiday [G1859] of the [G3588] unleavened [breads seven [G2033] days [G2250].
18: And [G2532] there was not [G3756][G1096] a passover likened [G3664] to it [G1473] in [G1722] Israel from days [G2250] of Samuel the [G3588] prophet [G4396]; for [G2532] all [G3956] kings of Israel did not [G3756] do [G4160] the [G3588] passover which [G3739] Josiah did [G4160][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] priests [G2409], and [G2532] the [G3588] Levites, and [G2532] all [G3956] Judah and [G2532] Israel, the [G3588] [ones] being found [G2147], and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] dwelling [G2730] in [G1722] Jerusalem, to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962].
19: In [G1722] the [G3588] eighteenth year [G2094] of the [G3588] government ' of Josiah was observed [G4160] the [G3588] this passover [G3778].
20: And [G2532] after [G3326] all these things [G3778][G3956] which [G3739] Josiah prepared for [G2090] the [G3588] house [G3624], ascended up Pharaoh Necho king of Egypt] against [G1909] the [G3588] king of Assyrians at [G1909] the [G3588] river [G4215] Euphrates, the [G3588] to wage war against [G4170] him [G1473] at [G1722] Carchemish. And [G2532] went [G4198] king Josiah] to [G1519] meet [G4877] against him [G1473].
21: And [G2532] he sent to [G4314] him [G1473] word-conveyers (messengers) ', saying [G3004], What [G5100] [is it] to me [G1473] and [G2532] to you [G1473], O king of Judah? not [G3756] against [G1909] you [G1473] I come [G2240] today [G4594] to make [G4160] war [G4171], but only the [G3588] against [G1909] the [G3588] place [G5117] of the [G3588] my war [G4171][G1473]; and [G2532] the [G3588] God '[G2316] told [G2036] the [G3588] me to hasten [G1473]. You take heed [G4337][G1473] off the [G3588] God '[G2316], of the [G3588] [one] with [G3326] me [G1473], lest [G3361] he ruin [G2704] you [G1473].
22: And [G2532] did not [G3756] turn Josiah the [G3588] his face [G4383][G1473] from him [G1473], but he fortified himself [G2901] the [G3588] to wage war against [G4170] him [G1473]. And [G2532] he did not [G3756] hearken concerning the [G3588] words [G3056] of Pharaoh Necho by [G1537] mouth [G4750] of God '[G2316]. And [G2532] he came [G2064] the [G3588] to wage war [G4170] in [G1722] the [G3588] plain of Megiddo.
23: And [G2532] shot the [G3588] bowmen unto [G1909] king Josiah. And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] king [to the [G3588] his servants [G3816][G1473], Lead me out [G1806][G1473]! for [G3754] I am in pain exceedingly [G4970].
24: And [G2532] led [G1806] him [G1473] the [G3588] his servants [G3816][G1473] from the [G3588] chariot , and [G2532] hauled him [G1473] upon [G1909] the [G3588] chariot the [G3588] second which [G3739] was of him '[G1473]; and [G2532] they conveyed ' him [G1473] to [G1519] Jerusalem, and [G2532] he died , and [G2532] he was entombed [G2290] with [G3326] the [G3588] his fathers [G3962][G1473]. And [G2532] all [G3956] Judah and [G2532] Jerusalem mourned [G3996] over [G1909] Josiah.
25: And [G2532] Jeremiah lamented [G2354] over [G1909] Josiah. And [G2532] spoke [G2036] all [G3956] the [G3588] rulers and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] in control a lamentation [G2355] over [G1909] Josiah [spoken] until [G2193] the [G3588] today [G4594]. And [G2532] they appointed [G1325] it [G1473] as an [G1519] order unto [G1909] Israel, and [G2532] look [G2400], it is written [G1125] in [G1909] the [G3588] lamentations [G2355].
26: And [G2532] were the [G3588] rest [G3062] of words [G3056] of Josiah and [G2532] the [G3588] his hope [G1680][G1473] being written [G1125] in [G1722] law [G3551] of Boss '[G2962].
27: And [G2532] the [G3588] his words [G3056][G1473], the [G3588] first [G4413] and [G2532] the [G3588] last [G2078], look [G2400], they are written [G1125] upon [G1909] scroll of kings of Israel and [G2532] Judah.
