2 Chronicles Chapter 12 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] as [G5613] was prepared [G2090] the [G3588] government ' of Rehoboam], and [G2532] as [G5613] he was secure , he abandoned [G1459] the [G3588] law [G3551] of Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] all [G3956] Israel with [G3326] him [G1473].
2: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] in [G1722] the [G3588] year [G2094] the [G3588] fifth [G3991] of the [G3588] government ' of Rehoboam, went up Shishak king of Egypt] up against [G1909] Jerusalem, (for [G3754] they sinned before [G1726] Boss '[G2962]),
3: with [G1722] a thousand [G5507] and [G2532] two hundred [G1250] chariots , and [G2532] sixty [G1835] thousand [G5505] horsemen [G2460], and [G2532] no [G3756] there was count of the [G3588] multitude [G4128] the [G3588] coming [G2064] with [G3326] him [G1473] out of [G1537] Egypt -- Lubim, Sukkiim, and [G2532] Ethiopians.
4: And [G2532] they secured the [G3588] cities [G4172] for the [G3588]tified which [G3739] were in [G1722] Judah, and [G2532] they came [G2064] to [G1519] Jerusalem.
5: And [G2532] Shemaiah the [G3588] prophet [G4396] came [G2064] to [G4314] Rehoboam, and [G2532] to [G4314] the [G3588] rulers of Judah, the [G3588] [ones] gathering together [G4863] in [G1519] Jerusalem from face [G4383] of Shishak. And [G2532] he said [G2036] to them [G1473], Thus [G3779] said [G2036] Boss '[G2962], You [G1473] abandoned [G1459] me [G1473], and [G2532] I [G1473] will abandon [G1459] you [G1473] into [G1722] hand [G5495] of Shishak.
6: And [G2532] were shamed the [G3588] rulers of Israel and [G2532] the [G3588] king , and [G2532] they said [G2036], [is] just [G1342] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962].
7: And [G2532] when [G1722] the [G3588] BOSS saw [G1492] the [G3588][G2962] that [G3754] they were ashamed [G1788], came [G1096] word [G3056] [of the] Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] Shemaiah, saying [G3004], They felt shame [G1788], I will not utterly ruin [G3756][G2704] them [G1473], but [G2532] I will appoint [G1325] them [G1473] as [G5613] small [G3397] for [G1519] deliverance [G4991], and [G2532] in no way will be dripped the [G3588] my rage [G2372][G1473] over [G1909] Jerusalem by [G1722] hand [G5495] of Shishak,
8: for [G3754] they will be to him [G1473] for [G1519] servants [G3816], and [G2532] they will know [G1097] the [G3588] my servitude [G1397][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] servitude [G1397] of the [G3588] government ' of the [G3588] land '[G1093].
9: And [G2532] went up Shishak king of Egypt] against [G1909] Jerusalem, and [G2532] he took [G2983] the [G3588] treasures [G2344] of the [G3588] [ones] in [G1722] house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] the [G3588] treasures [G2344] of the [G3588] [ones] in [G1722] house [G3624] of the [G3588] king the [G3588] he took all [G3956][G2983], and [G2532] he took [G2983] the [G3588] shields [G2375] of the [G3588] gold [G5552] which [G3739] Solomon made [G4160].
10: And [G2532] made [G4160] the [G3588] king Rehoboam] shields [G2375] of brass [G5470] instead of them [G1473], and [G2532] placed [them [G2525] unto [G1909] hands [G5495] [of the] rulers , of the [G3588] [ones] being bodyguards , of the [G3588] [ones] guarding [G5442] the [G3588] gatehouse [G4440] of the [G3588] king .
11: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] when [it was] fit [G2425] in [G1722] the [G3588] entering [G1531] by the [G3588] king into [G1519] house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962], there went in [G1531] also [G2532] the [G3588] bodyguards and [G2532] they took [G2983] the [G3588] shields [G2375], and [then [G2532] restored them unto [G1519] the [G3588] place [G5010] of the [G3588] bodyguards .
12: And [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] his feeling ashamed [G1788][G1473], was turned from him [G1473] anger [G3709] [of the] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] not [G3756] unto [G1519] corruption unto [G1519] end [G5056], [G2532] for [G1063] in [G1722] Judah there were words '[G3056] good .
13: And [G2532] grew strong [G2729] the [G3588] king Rehoboam] in [G1722] Jerusalem, and [G2532] reigned . a son [G5207] of forty [G5062] and [G2532] one [G1520] years [old [G2094] was Rehoboam] in [G1722] the [G3588] his taking reign [G1473]. And [G2532] seventeen years [G2094] he reigned in [G1722] Jerusalem, in [G1722] the [G3588] city [G4172] which [G3739] BOSS chose [G1586][G2962] to name [G2028] the [G3588] name [G3686] of him [G1473] there [G1563], from out of [G1537] all [G3956] tribes [G5443] of the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel. And [G2532] the [G3588] name [G3686] [to the [G3588] his mother [G3384][G1473] [was] Naammah the [G3588] Ammonitess.
14: And [G2532] he acted [G4160] the [G3588] wickedly [G4190], for [G3754] he did not [G3756] straighten out [G2720] the [G3588] his heart [G2588][G1473] to seek after [G1567] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962].
15: And [G2532] the [G3588] words [G3056] of Rehoboam, the [G3588] first [G4413] and [G2532] last [G2078], not [G3756] look [G2400] are they written [G1125] in [G1722] the [G3588] words [G3056] of Shemaiah the [G3588] prophet [G4396], and [G2532] Iddo the [G3588] seer [G3708] the [G3588] to trace descent [G1075] and [G2532] the [G3588] his actions [G4234][G1473]. And [G2532] Rehoboam waged war [G4170] and [G2532] Jeroboam all [G3956] the [G3588] days [G2250].
16: And [G2532] Rehoboam slept [G2837] with [G3326] the [G3588] his fathers [G3962][G1473], and [G2532] was entombed [G2290] in [G1722] city [G4172] of David. And [G2532] reigned Abijah son [G5207] of him [G1473] instead of him [G1473].
