2 Chronicles Chapter 11 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] Rehoboam came [G2064] into [G1519] Jerusalem, and [G2532] he held an assembly of the [G3588] Judah and [G2532] Benjamin -- a hundred [G1540] eighty [G3589] thousand [G5505] young men [G3495] for making [G4160] war [G4171], the [G3588] to wage war [G4170] against [G3326] Israel, the [G3588] to return [G1994] the [G3588] government ' [to the [G3588] Rehoboam.
2: And [G2532] came to pass [G1096] word [G3056] of Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] Shemaiah man of the [G3588] God '[G2316], saying [G3004],
3: Say [G2036] to [G4314] Rehoboam the [G3588] [son of the [G3588] Solomon, king of Judah, and [G2532] to [G4314] all [G3956] Israel, the [G3588] [one] with [G3326] Judah and [G2532] Benjamin, saying [G3004]!
4: Thus [G3592] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962], You will not ascend [G3756], and [G2532] you will not [G3756] wage war [G4170] against [G3326] the [G3588] your brothers [G1473]. Let return each [G1538] to [G1519] the [G3588] his house [G3624][G1473]! for [G3754] from [G3844] me [G1473] took place [G1096] the [G3588] this thing [G4487][G3778]. And [G2532] they heeded [G1873] the [G3588] word [G3056] of Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] they turned the [G3588] to not [G3361] go [G4198] against [G1909] Jeroboam.
5: And [G2532] Rehoboam dwelt [G2730] in [G1519] Jerusalem, and [G2532] he built [G3618] cities [G4172] walled in [G1722] the [G3588] Judea.
6: And [G2532] he rebuilt [G3618] the [G3588] Beth-lehem and [G2532] the [G3588] Etam and [G2532] the [G3588] Tekoa,
7: and [G2532] Beth-zur, and [G2532] the [G3588] Shoco, and [G2532] the [G3588] Adullam,
8: and [G2532] the [G3588] Gath, and [G2532] the [G3588] Mareshah, and [G2532] the [G3588] Ziph,
9: and [G2532] the [G3588] Adoraim, and [G2532] Lachish, and [G2532] the [G3588] Azekah,
10: and [G2532] the [G3588] Zorah, and [G2532] the [G3588] Aijalon, and [G2532] the [G3588] Hebron, which [G3739] [are of the [G3588] Judah and [G2532] Benjamin cities [G4172] walled .
11: And [G2532] he fortified them [G1473] with walls [G5038], and [G2532] he appointed [G1325] in [G1722] them [G1473] leaders [G2233], and [G2532] provisions of foods [G1033], and [G2532] olive oil [G1637] and [G2532] wine [G3631];
12: accordingly [G2596] city [G4172] by [G2532] city [G4172] [with] shields [G2375] and [G2532] spears . And [G2532] he strengthened [G2729] them [G1473] in [G1519] magnitude [G4128] exceedingly [G4970], and [G2532] were of him '[G1473] Judah and [G2532] Benjamin].
13: And [G2532] the [G3588] priests [G2409] and [G2532] the [G3588] Levites who [G3739] were in [G1722] all [G3956] Israel, came together [G4863] to [G4314] him [G1473] from out of [G1537] all [G3956] the [G3588] borders [G3725].
14: For [G3754] left behind [G1459] the [G3588] Levites the [G3588]ir tents [G4638][G1473], the [G3588] [ones] of the [G3588]ir possession [G2697][G1473], and [G2532] they went [G4198] to [G4314] Judah unto [G1519] Jerusalem, for [G3754] cast them out [G1544][G1473] Jeroboam and [G2532] the [G3588] his sons [G5207][G1473] the [G3588] to not officiate [G3361][G3008] [to the] Boss '[G2962].
15: And [G2532] he placed [G2525] for himself [G1438] priests [G2409] of the [G3588] high [places [G5308], and [G2532] for the [G3588] idols [G1497], and [G2532] for the [G3588] vain [things] [G3152], and [G2532] for the [G3588] calves [G3448] which [G3739] Jeroboam made [G4160].
16: And [G2532] he cast [G1544] them out [G1473] from tribes [G5443] of Israel, [the ones] who [G3739] gave [G1325] their heart [G2588][G1473] the [G3588] to seek [G2212] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of Israel. And [G2532] they came [G2064] into [G1519] Jerusalem to sacrifice [G2380] [to the] Boss '[G2962], to the [G3588] God '[G2316] of the [G3588]ir fathers [G3962][G1473].
17: And [G2532] they strengthened [G2729] the [G3588] government ' of Judah, and [G2532] they strengthened [G2729] Rehoboam son [G5207] of Solomon for [G1519] years [G2094] three [G5140]; for [G3754] he went [G4198] by way [G3598] of David and [G2532] Solomon for [G1519] years [G2094] three [G5140].
18: And [G2532] took [G2983] to himself [G1438] Rehoboam] for a wife [G1135] the [G3588] Mahalath daughter [G2364] of Jerimoth son [G5207] of David, and [G2532] Abihail daughter [G2364] of Eliab son [G5207] of Jesse.
19: And [G2532] she bore [G5088] to him [G1473] sons [G5207] the [G3588] Jeush, and [G2532] the [G3588] Shamariah, and [G2532] the [G3588] Zaham.
20: And [G2532] after [G3326] these [G3778] he took [G2983] the [G3588] Maachah to himself [G1438], the [G3588] daughter [G2364] of Absalom; and [G2532] she bore [G5088] to him [G1473] the [G3588] Abijah, and [G2532] the [G3588] Attai, and [G2532] the [G3588] Ziza, and [G2532] the [G3588] Shelomith.
21: And [G2532] Rehoboam loved the [G3588] Maacha daughter [G2364] of Absalom above [G5228] all [G3956] the [G3588] his wives [G1135][G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] concubines ; for [G3754] wives [G1135] eighteen he had [G2192], and [G2532] concubines sixty [G1835]. And [G2532] he engendered [G1080] twenty [G1501] and [G2532] eight [G3638] sons [G5207], and [G2532] daughters [G2364] sixty [G1835].
22: And [G2532] Rehoboam ordained [G2525] the [G3588] Abijah the [G3588] [son of the [G3588] Maacha as [G1519] ruler , and [G2532] for [G1519] leader [G2233] among [G1722] the [G3588] brothers of him [G1473], for [G3754] he considered to give him reign [G1473].
23: And [G2532] he grew above [G3844] all [G3956] the [G3588] his sons [G5207][G1473], in [G1722] all [G3956] the [G3588] borders [G3725] of Judah and [G2532] Benjamin, and [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] cities [G4172] for the [G3588]tified ; and [G2532] he gave [G1325] to them [G1473] of provisions [G5160] multitude [G4128] a vast [G4183]; and [G2532] he asked for a multitude [G4128] of wives [G1135].
