1 Samuel Chapter 2 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] Hannah prayed [G4336] and [G2532] said [G2036], is solidified [G4732] the [G3588] My heart [G2588][G1473] in [G1722] Boss '[G2962]; was raised high [G5312] my horn [G2768][G1473] by [G1722] God '[G2316] of me [G1473]; was widened [G4115] over [G1909] my enemies [G2190][G1473] the [G3588] mouth [G4750] of me [G1473]; for [G3754] I was glad [G2165] in [G1722] your deliverance [G4991][G1473].
2: For [G3754] there is no [G3756] [one] pure ' as [G5613] Boss '[G2962]; and [G2532] there is no [G3756] just one [G1342] as [G5613] the [G3588] our God '[G2316][G1473]; and [G2532] there is no [G3756] holy one besides [G4133] you [G1473].
3: Do not [G3361] boast [G2744], and [G2532] do not [G3361] speak [G2980] high [things] [G5308] in [G1722] superiority [G5247]! Let not [G3361] come forth [G1831] lofty language from out of [G1537] the [G3588] your mouth [G4750][G1473]! For [G3754] [is] a God '[G2316] of knowledge [G1108] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] God '[G2316] is preparing [G2090] his practices [G1473].
4: bow [G5115] of the mighty [G1415] is weakened , and [G2532] ones being weakened girded on [G4024] power [G1411].
5: ones full [G4134] of bread [loaves are made less ; and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] hungering [G3983] disregarded [G3935] land '[G1093]; for [G3754] sterile [G4723] gave birth to [G5088] seven [G2033], and [G2532] the one [with] the [G3588] many [G4183] in [G1722] children [G5043] weakened .
6: Boss '[G2962] puts to death [G2289], and [G2532] he brings forth alive [G2225]; he leads [them] down [G2609] into [G1519] Hades , and [G2532] he leads up .
7: Boss '[G2962] makes poor , and [G2532] he enriches [G4148]; he humbles [G5013], and [G2532] elevates .
8: He raises up from land '[G1093] needy [G3993], and [G2532] from dung [G2874] he raises [G1453] the one begging [G4434] the [G3588] to sit him down [G2523][G1473] with [G3326] mighty ones [G1413] of people [G2992], and [G2532] a throne [G2362] of glory [G1391] inheriting to them [G1473];
9: giving [G1325] [the thing] vowed for [G2171] to the [G3588] [one] vowing [G2172]. And [G2532] he blessed [G2127] years [G2094] of just [G1342]; for [G3754] not [G3756] by [G1722] strength [G2479] [is] man able [G1415].
10: Boss '[G2962] weak will make [G4160] his opponent [G1473]. Boss '[G2962] [is] pure '. Boss '[G2962] went up into [G1519] raised-places-above (skies) '[G3772], and [G2532] he thundered [G1473]. He [G1473] will judge [G2919] extremities of land '[G1093] being just [G1342]; and [G2532] he will give [G1325] strength [G2479] [to the [G3588] our kings [G1473], and [G2532] he will raise up high [G5312] horn [G2768] of his Anointed "'[G5547][G1473].
11: And [G2532] they went forth unto [G1519] Ramah unto [G1519] the [G3588]ir house [G3624][G1473]. And [G2532] the [G3588] boy [G3808] was officiating [G3008] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] before [G4253] the face [G4383] of Eli the [G3588] priest [G2409].
12: And [G2532] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Eli the [G3588] priest [G2409] sons [G5207] [were] mischievous [G3061], not [G3756] knowing [G1492] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962].
13: And [G2532] the [G3588] ordinance [G1345] of the [G3588] priest [G2409] of [G3844] the [G3588] people [G2992] all [G3956] of the [G3588] [one] sacrificing [was this [G2380]; that [G2532] came [G2064] the [G3588] servant [G3808] of the [G3588] priest [G2409] when [G5613] ever boiled the [G3588] meat [G2907], and [G2532] meat hook [was] a three-pronged in [G1722] the [G3588] his hand [G5495][G1473].
14: And [G2532] he stuck [G3960] it [G1473] into [G1519] the [G3588] kettle the [G3588] great [G3173], or [G2228] into [G1519] the [G3588] brass caldron , or [G2228] into [G1519] the [G3588] earthen pot ; and [G2532] all [G3956], what [G3739] ever went up on [G1722] the [G3588] meat hook took [G2983] to himself [G1438] the [G3588] priest [G2409]. According to [G2596] thus [G3592] they did [G4160] to all [G3956] Israel in [G1722] Shiloh to the [G3588] [ones] coming [G2064] to sacrifice [G2380] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962].
15: And [G2532] before [G4250] burning [G2370] the [G3588] fat , would come [G2064] the [G3588] servant [G3808] of the [G3588] priest [G2409]. And [G2532] he said [G3004] to the [G3588] man the [G3588] sacrificing [G2380], Give [G1325] meat [G2907] to roast to the [G3588] priest [G2409]; for [G2532] in no way will I take [G2983] meat [G2907] from [G3844] you [G1473] cooked from out of [G1537] the [G3588] kettle .
16: And [if [G2532] said [G3004] the [G3588] man [who was the [G3588] sacrificing [G2380], let there be burnt [G2370] first [G4412] as [G5613] is fit [G2520] for the [G3588] fat , and [G2532] then [G5119] you will take [G2983] for yourself [G4572] from [G1537] all [G3956] what [G3739] desires [G1937] the [G3588] your soul [G5590][G1473]. Then [G2532] he said [G2036], No [G3780], but the [G3588] now [G3568] you will give [it [G1325]; and [G2532] if [G1437] not [G3361], I will take [G2983] it forcefully .
17: And [G2532] was the [G3588] sin of the [G3588] young men [G3808] great [G3173] before [G1799] Boss '[G2962], exceedingly [G4970], for [G3754] they annulled the [G3588] sacrifice [G2378] of Boss '[G2962].
18: And [G2532] Samuel was officiating [G3008] in the presence of [G1799] Boss '[G2962], a boy [G3808] being girded [G4024] ephod with a linen .
19: And [G2532] double garment a small [G3397] made [G4160] of him '[G1473] the [G3588] mother [G3384] for him [G1473], and [G2532] offered it to him [G1473] from [G1537] days [G2250] unto [G1519] days [G2250] in [G1722] the [G3588] her going up [G1473] with [G3326] the [G3588] her husband [G1473], to sacrifice [G2380] the [G3588] sacrifice [G2378] of the [G3588] days [G2250].
20: And [G2532] Eli blessed [G2127] the [G3588] Elkanah and [G2532] the [G3588] his wife [G1135][G1473], saying [G3004], pay to you [G1473] Boss '[G2962] seed [G4690] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] this woman [G1135][G3778], for the [G3588] loan which [G3739] she treated [G5530] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962]. And [G2532] went forth the [G3588] man to [G1519] the [G3588] his place [G5117][G1473].
21: And [G2532] BOSS visited [G1980][G2962] the [G3588] Hannah, and [G2532] she conceived [G4815] again [G2089], and [G2532] she bore [G5088] yet [G2089] three [G5140] sons [G5207] and [G2532] two [G1417] daughters [G2364]. And [G2532] was magnified [G3170] the [G3588] boy [G3808] Samuel] in the presence of [G1799] Boss '[G2962].
22: And [G2532] Eli [was] an old man [G4246], exceedingly [G4970]. And [G2532] he heard what [G3739] did [G4160] the [G3588] his sons [G5207][G1473] to the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel all [G3956], and [G2532] that [G3754] went to bed [G2837] the [G3588] his sons [G5207][G1473] with [G3326] the [G3588] women [G1135] the [G3588] standing [G3936] by [G3844] the [G3588] doors [G2374] of the [G3588] tent [G4633] of the [G3588] testimony [G3142].
23: And [G2532] he said [G2036] to them [G1473], Why [G2444] do you do [G4160] according to [G2596] the [G3588]se things [G4487][G3778], which [G3739] I [G1473] hear being spoken ill [G2635] of [G2596] you [G1473] from [G1537] mouth [G4750] of all [G3956] the [G3588] people [G2992] of Boss '[G2962]?
24: No [G3361] children [G5043], no [G3361], for [G3754] [it is] not [G3756] good , the [G3588] hearing which [G3739] I [G1473] hear of the [G3588] making [G4160] the [G3588] people [G2992] to not [G3361] serve [G3000] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962].
25: If [G1437] by sinning should sin a man against [G1519] a man , then [G2532] they will pray [G4336] for [G4012] him [G1473] to [G4314] Boss '[G2962]. But [G2532] if [G1437] against the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] sins a man , who [G5100] will pray [G4336] for [G5228] him [G1473]? But [G2532] they did not [G3756] hearken to the [G3588] voice [G5456] of the [G3588]ir father [G3962][G1473]. For willing [G1014][G1063], BOSS preferred [G1014][G2962] to utterly destroy [G1311] them [G1473].
26: And [G2532] the [G3588] boy [G3808] Samuel went on [G4198] and [G2532] was magnified [G3170], and [G2532] was [in] good [standing with [G3326] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] with [G3326] men .
27: And [G2532] came [G2064] the [G3588] man of God '[G2316] to [G4314] Eli, and [G2532] said [G2036] to him [G1473], Thus [G3592] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962], In revealing I revealed [myself to [G4314] the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] father [G3962] of you [G1473] in their being [G1473] in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Egypt servants [G1401] to the [G3588] house [G3624] of Pharaoh].
28: And [G2532] I chose [G1586] the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] father [G3962] of you [G1473] from out of [G1537] all [G3956] the [G3588] tribes [G5443] of Israel to officiate as priest [G2407] to me [G1473], the [G3588] to go up unto [G1909] my altar [G2379][G1473], and [G2532] to burn [G2370] incense [G2368], and [G2532] to carry an ephod before [G1799] me [G1473]. And [G2532] I gave [G1325] to the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] father [G3962] of you [G1473] all the [things] [G3588][G3956] of the [G3588] fire [G4442] of the [G3588] sacrifices [G2378] of the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel for [G1519] food [G1035].
29: Why have [G2444] you looked [G1914] upon [G1909] the [G3588] my incense [offering [G2368][G1473], and [G2532] upon [G1909] the [G3588] my sacrifice [offering [G2378][G1473] [with an] impudent eye [G3788], and [G2532] glorified [G1392] the [G3588] your sons [G5207][G1473] above [G5228] me [G1473], in [them] blessing themselves [G1757] [with the] first-fruit of every [G3956] sacrifice [G2378] of Israel, prior [G1715] of me [G1473]?
30: On account of [G1223] this [G3778], thus [G3592] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962], the [G3588] God '[G2316] of Israel, I said [G2036], the [G3588] Your house [G3624][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] father [G3962] of you [G1473] will go through [G1330] before [G1799] me [G1473] unto [G2193] age (term) `. And [G2532] now [G3568], says [G5346] Boss '[G2962], not even one [G3365] will be to me [G1473], for [G3754] the [G3588] [ones] glorifying [G1392] me [G1473] I will glorify [G1392], and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] treating me with contempt [G1848][G1473] will be disgraced .
31: look [G2400], come [G2064] days [G2250], and [G2532] I will utterly destroy [G1842] the [G3588] your seed [G4690][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] seed [G4690] of the [G3588] house [G3624] of father [G3962] of you [G1473].
32: And [G2532] you will look upon [G1914] fortifications new [G3501] upon [G1909] all [G3956] the things which [G3739] will do good the [G3588] Israel]. And [G2532] there will not be [G3756] an old man [G4246] in [G1722] the [G3588] your house [G3624][G1473] all [G3956] the [G3588] days [G2250].
33: And [G2532] a man whom [G3739] I should not utterly destroy [G3756][G1842] among you [G1473] from the [G3588] my altar [G2379][G1473], I will make [G4160] to fail [G1587] the [G3588] his eyes [G3788][G1473], and [G2532] will flow down the [G3588] his life [G5590][G1473], and [G2532] all [G3956] ones abounding [G4052] of the [G3588] your house [G3624][G1473] will fall [G4098] by [G1722] broadsword [G4501] of men .
34: And [G2532] this [G3778] [is] to you [G1473] the [G3588] sign [G4592] which [G3739] will come [G2240] upon [G1909] the [G3588] two [G1417] sons [G5207] these your [G1473][G3778], on Hophni and [G2532] Phinehas; in [G1722] one [G1520] day [G2250] will die both .
35: And [G2532] I will raise up for myself [G1683] priest [G2409] a trustworthy [G4103] who [G3739] all [G3956] the [things] [G3588] in [G1722] the [G3588] my heart [G2588][G1473] and [G2532] the [things] [G3588] in [G1722] the [G3588] soul [G5590] of me [G1473] will do [G4160]. And [G2532] I will build [G3618] to him [G1473] house [G3624] a trustworthy [G4103], and [G2532] he will go through [G1330] before [G1799] my Anointed "'[G5547][G1473] all [G3956] the [G3588] days [G2250].
36: And [G2532] it will be everyone [G3956] the [G3588] being left behind [G5275] among [G1722] the [G3588] your house [G3624][G1473] will come [G2240] to do obeisance [G4352] to him [G1473] for [G1722] an obolus of silver , and [G2532] for [G1722] bread loaf one [G1520], saying [G3004], Throw me aside [G1473] upon [G1909] one [G1520] of the [G3588] your priesthoods [G2405][G1473] the [G3588] to eat [G2068] bread !
