1 Samuel Chapter 15 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] Samuel said [G2036] to [G4314] Saul, me [G1473] has sent [G2962] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] to anoint [G5548] you [G1473] as [G1519] king over [G1909] Israel the [G3588] his people [G2992][G1473]. And [G2532] now [G3568] hear the [G3588] voice [G5456] of the [G3588] saying [G4487] of Boss '[G2962]!
2: Thus [G3592] said [G2036] Boss '[G2962] of hosts [G4519], Now [G3568] I [G1473] will punish [G1556] what [G3739] Amalek did [G4160] the [G3588] to Israel, when [G5613] he met him [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] way [G3598] going up out of [G1537] Egypt.
3: And [G2532] now [G3568], go [G4198]! and [G2532] you will strike [G3960] the [G3588] Amalek, and [G2532] you will utterly destroy [G1842] him [G1473], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [things] [G3588] of of him '[G1473]. And [G2532] you will devote him to consumption [G1473], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [things] [G3588] of of him '[G1473]; and [G2532] in no way will you spare [G5339] over him [G1473]. And [G2532] you will kill from man and [G2532] unto [G2193] woman [G1135], and [G2532] from infant [G3516] and [G2532] unto [G2193] one nursing [G2337]; and [G2532] from calf [G3448] and [G2532] unto [G2193] sheep [G4263], and [G2532] from camel [G2574] and [G2532] unto [G2193] donkey [G3688].
4: And [G2532] Saul gave exhortation [G3853] to the [G3588] people [G2992]. And [G2532] he numbered [G1980] them [G1473] in [G1722] Gilgal -- two hundred [G1250] thousand [G5505] of ranks [G5001], and [G2532] ten [G1176] thousand [G5505] of the [G3588] men of the [G3588] Judah.
5: And [G2532] Saul came [G2064] unto [G2193] the [G3588] city [G4172] of Amalek, and [G2532] laid in wait [G1748] by [G1722] the [G3588] rushing stream [G5493].
6: And [G2532] Saul said [G2036] to [G4314] the [G3588] Kenite, You go forth , and [G2532] turn away [G1578] from [G1537] midst [G3319] of the [G3588] Amalek! lest [G3361] I add [G4369] you [G1473] with [G3326] him [G1473], for [G2532] you [G1473] executed [G4160] compassion [G1656] with [G3326] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Israel in [G1722] the [G3588]ir going up [G1473] from out of [G1537] Egypt. And [G2532] turned away [G1578] the [G3588] Kenite] from [G1537] midst [G3319] of Amalek.
7: And [G2532] Saul struck [G3960] the [G3588] Amalek from Havilah unto [G2193] Shur at [G1909] face [G4383] of Egypt.
8: And [G2532] he seized [G4815] the [G3588] Agag king of Amalek alive [G2198]. And [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] his people [G2992][G1473] he utterly destroyed [G1842] by [G1722] mouth [G4750] of broadsword [G4501].
9: And [G2532] preserved [G4046] Saul and [G2532] the [G3588] people [G2992] the [G3588] Agag, and [G2532] the [G3588] good ones of the [G3588] flocks [G4168], and [G2532] of the [G3588] herds , and [G2532] of the [G3588] foods , and [G2532] of the [G3588] vineyards , and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] good [things] ; and [G2532] they did not [G3756] want [G1014] to utterly destroy [G1842] them [G1473]. And [G2532] every [G3956] work [G2041] being a disgrace , and [G2532] being treated with contempt [G1847] they utterly destroyed [G1842].
10: And [G2532] came to pass [G1096] word [G4487] of Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] Samuel, saying [G3004],
11: I have changed my mind [G3338] for [G3754] Saul to reign as [G1519] king , for [G3754] he turned away from [following] after [G3693] me [G1473]; and [G2532] the [G3588] my words [G3056][G1473] he did not [G3756] give heed to [G5083]. And [G2532] Samuel was depressed , and [G2532] yelled to [G4314] Boss '[G2962] entire [G3650] the [G3588] night [G3571].
12: And [G2532] Samuel rose early [G3719] and [G2532] went [G4198] to [G1519] meet the [G3588] Israel in the morning [G4404]. And [G2532] it was reported the [G3588] to Samuel, saying [G3004], Saul comes [G2240] to [G1519] the [G3588] Carmel. And [G2532] look [G2400], he has raised up to himself [G1438] a hand [G5495], and [G2532] turned [G1994] the [G3588] his chariot [G1473], and [G2532] went down [G2597] into [G1519] Gilgal.
13: And [G2532] Samuel came [G3854] to [G4314] Saul. And [G2532] said [G2036] to him [G1473] Saul], Blessed are [G2128] you [G1473] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962]. I established [G2476] all [G3956] as many [things] as [G3745] spoke [G2980] Boss '[G2962].
14: And [G2532] Samuel said [G2036], And [G2532] what [is [G5100] the [G3588] sound [G5456] of the [G3588] this flock [G4168][G3778] in [G1722] the [G3588] my ears [G3775][G1473], and [G2532] sound [G5456] of the [G3588] oxen [G1016] of which [G3739] I [G1473] hear ?
15: And [G2532] Saul said [G2036], From out of [G1537] Amalek I brought [G5342] them [G1473], which [G3739] procured [G4046] the [G3588] people [G2992], the [G3588] most excellent [G2903] of the [G3588] flocks [G4168] and [G2532] of the [G3588] herds , so as [G3704] it may be a sacrifice [G2380] [to the] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] rest [G3062] I utterly destroyed [G1842].
16: And [G2532] Samuel said [G2036] to [G4314] Saul, Spare ! and [G2532] I will report to you [G1473] what [G3739] spoke [G2980] Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] me [G1473] [in] the [G3588] night [G3571]. And [G2532] he said [G2036] to him [G1473], Speak [G2980]!
17: And [G2532] Samuel said [G2036] to [G4314] Saul, Were you not [G3780] small [G3397], [even] you [G1473], before [G1799] yourself [G4572] for [G1519] taking the lead [G2233] of chiefdom of tribes [G5443] of Israel? And [G2532] anointed [G5548] you [G1473] Boss '[G2962] for [G1519] king over [G1909] Israel.
18: And [G2532] sent you [G1473] Boss '[G2962] on [G1722] journey [G3598]. And [G2532] he said [G2036] to you [G1473], Go [G4198]! and [G2532] utterly destroy [G1842] the [G3588] Amalek the [G3588] [ones] sinning against [G1519] me [G1473]! and [G2532] you will war against [G4170] them [G1473] until [G2193] you should have finished [G4931] them [G1473].
19: And [G2532] why did [G2444] you not [G3756] hearken to voice [G5456] of the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], but advanced [G3729] upon [G1909] the [G3588] spoils [G4661], and [G2532] did [G4160] the [G3588] wicked [thing] [G4190] before [G1799] Boss '[G2962]?
20: And [G2532] Saul said [G2036] to [G4314] Samuel, Because [G1223] of the [G3588] my hearing [G1473] the [G3588] sound [G5456] of the [G3588] people [G2992], and [G2532] I went [G4198] in [G1722] the [G3588] way [G3598] in [G1722] which [G3739] sent me [G1473] Boss '[G2962]. And [G2532] I conveyed ' the [G3588] Agag, king of Amalek, and [G2532] the [G3588] I utterly destroyed Amalek [G1842].
21: And [G2532] took [G2983] the [G3588] people [G2992] of the [G3588] spoils [G4661] of flocks [G4168] and [G2532] herds , the [G3588] first-fruits of of the [G3588]fering for consumption , the [G3588] to sacrifice [G2380] before [G1799] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] our God '[G2316][G1473] in [G1722] Gilgal.
22: And [G2532] Samuel said [G2036], Does [G1487] want the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] whole burnt-offerings [G3646] and [G2532] sacrifices [G2378], as [compared [G5613] the [G3588] to hearing the [G3588] voice [G5456] of BOSS, [no[G2962]. Look [G2400], hearkening [is] better than [G5228] sacrifice [G2378], and [G2532] the [G3588] heeding over [G5228] fat of rams .
23: For [G3754] sin is as an omen , grief [G3601] and [G2532] miseries [G4192] teraphim bring upon [G1863]. Because [G3754] you treated with contempt [G1847] the [G3588] word [G4487] of Boss '[G2962], even [G2532] treats you with contempt [G1847][G2962] Boss '[G2962] to not [G3361] be king over [G1909] Israel.
24: And [G2532] Saul said [G2036] to [G4314] Samuel, I have sinned , that [G3754] I violated [G3845] the [G3588] word [G3056] of Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] the [G3588] saying [G4487] by you [G1473]; for [G3754] I feared [G5399] the [G3588] people [G2992], and [G2532] I hearkened to the [G3588]ir voice [G5456][G1473].
25: And [G2532] now [G3568], take away indeed [G1211] the [G3588] my sin [G1473], and [G2532] return with [G3326] me [G1473]! and [G2532] I will do obeisance [G4352] to Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473].
26: And [G2532] Samuel said [G2036] to [G4314] Saul, I will not [G3756] return with [G3326] you [G1473]. For [G3754] you treated with contempt [G1847] the [G3588] saying [G4487] of Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] will treat you with contempt [G1847][G1473] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] to not [G3361] be king over [G1909] Israel.
27: And [G2532] Samuel turned [G1994] the [G3588] his face [G4383][G1473] the [G3588] to go forth , and [G2532] Saul took hold [G2902] of the [G3588] border [G4419] of the [G3588] his doubled garment [G1473], and [G2532] tore [G1284] it [G1473].
28: And [G2532] said [G2036] to [G4314] him [G1473] Samuel], BOSS tore [G1284][G2962] the [G3588] your government '[G1473] from Israel, from out of [G1537] your hand [G5495][G1473] today [G4594], and [G2532] he will give [G1325] it [G1473] [to the [G3588] your neighbor [G4139][G1473], to the [G3588] [one] good over [G5228] you [G1473].
29: And [G2532] Israel will be divided [G1244] into [G1519] two [G1417], and [G2532] he will not [G3756] turn [G1994], nor [G3761] will change his mind [G3340] the [G3588] holy one of the [G3588] Israel], for [G3754] not [G3756] as [G5613] a man is he the [G3588] to change the mind [G3340].
30: And [G2532] Saul said [G2036], I have sinned , but glorify [G1392] me [G1473] before [G1799] the [G3588] elders [G4245] of the [G3588] my people [G2992][G1473], and [G2532] before [G1799] the [G3588] Israel, and [G2532] return with [G3326] me [G1473]! and [G2532] I will do obeisance to [G4352] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473].
31: And [G2532] Samuel returned behind [G3694] Saul, and [G2532] he did obeisance [G4352] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962].
32: And [G2532] Samuel said [G2036], Bring [G4317] to me [G1473] the [G3588] Agag king of Amalek. And [G2532] came forward [G4334] to [G4314] him [G1473] the [G3588] Agag] trembling [G5141]. And [G2532] Agag said [G2036], Is [G1487] thus [G3779] bitter [G4089] the [G3588] death [G2288]?
33: And [G2532] Samuel said [G2036] to [G4314] Agag, As [G2530] made childless women [G1135] the [G3588] broadsword [G4501] your [G1473], thus [G3779] will be made childless among [G1537] women [G1135] the [G3588] mother [G3384] your [G1473]. And [G2532] Samuel slew [G4969] the [G3588] Agag in the presence of [G1799] Boss '[G2962] in [G1722] Gilgal.
34: And [G2532] Samuel went forth unto [G1519] Ramah, and [G2532] Saul went up unto [G1519] the [G3588] his house [G3624][G1473] in [G1519] Gibeah.
35: And [G2532] did not [G3756] proceed [G4369] Samuel] to see [G1492] the [G3588] Saul until [G2193] day [G2250] of his death [G2288][G1473], for [G3754] Samuel mourned [G3996] over [G1909] Saul. And [G2532] Boss '[G2962] repented [G3338] that [G3754] Saul reigned the [G3588] over [G1909] Israel.
