1 Chronicles Chapter 9 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] all [G3956] Israel traced descent [G1075]; and [G2532] look [G2400], they are written [G1125] upon [G1909] scroll [of the] kings of Israel and [G2532] Judah, and [G2532] they were resettled in [G1519] Babylon because [G1223] of the [G3588]ir breach-of-contract [G1473] which [G3739] they transgressed .
2: And [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] dwelling [G2730] prior [G4387] in [G1722] the [G3588]ir possessions [G2697][G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588]ir cities [G4172][G1473] -- Israel, the [G3588] priests [G2409], the [G3588] Levites, and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] appointed [G1325].
3: And [G2532] in [G1722] Jerusalem dwelt [G2730] of [G1537] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Judah, and [G2532] of [G1537] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Benjamin, and [G2532] of [G1537] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Ephraim, and [G2532] Manasseh;
4: Uthai son [G5207] of Ammihud, son of [G5207] Omri, son [G5207] of Imri, son [G5207] of Bani, off the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Pharez son [G5207] of Judah.
5: And [G2532] off the [G3588] Shilonites -- Asaiah the [G3588] his first-born [G4416][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] his sons [G5207][G1473].
6: And [G2532] of [G1537] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Zerah -- Jeuel, and [G2532] the [G3588]ir brothers [G1473] -- six hundred [G1812] and [G2532] ninety .
7: And [G2532] off the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Benjamin -- Sallu son [G5207] of Meshullam, son [G5207] of Hodaviah, son [G5207] of Hasenuah,
8: and [G2532] Ibneiah son [G5207] of Jeroham, and [G2532] Elah son [G5207] of Uzzi, son [G5207] of Michri, and [G2532] Meshullam son [G5207] of Shephatiah, son [G5207] of Reuel, son [G5207] of Ibnijah;
9: and [G2532] the [G3588]ir brothers [G1473] according to [G2596] their generations [G1078][G1473] -- nine hundred fifty-six . All [G3956] the [G3588] men , rulers of families [G3965], according to [G2596] house [G3624] of their families [G3965][G1473].
10: And [G2532] off the [G3588] priests [G2409] -- Jedaiah, and [G2532] Jehoiarib, and [G2532] Jachin,
11: and [G2532] Azariah son [G5207] of Hilkiah, son [G5207] of Meshullam, son [G5207] of Zadok, son [G5207] of Meraioth, son [G5207] of Ahitub, ruler [G2233] of house [G3624] of the [G3588] God '[G2316].
12: And [G2532] Adaiah son [G5207] of Jeroham, son [G5207] of Pashur, son [G5207] of Malchijah, and [G2532] Massai son [G5207] of Adiel, son [G5207] of Jahzerah, son [G5207] of Meshullam, son [G5207] of Meshillemith, son [G5207] of Immer.
13: And [G2532] the [G3588]ir brothers [G1473], leaders [G2233] according to [G2596] house [G3624] of their families [G3965][G1473] -- a thousand [G5507] and [G2532] seven hundred and [G2532] sixty [G1835]; mighty [G1415] in strength [G2479] in [G1519] work [G2041] of service [G1397] of house [G3624] of the [G3588] God '[G2316].
14: And [G2532] of [G1537] the [G3588] Levites -- Shemaiah son [G5207] of Hashub, son [G5207] of Azrikam, son [G5207] of Hashabiah, of [G1537] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Merari;
15: and [G2532] Bakbakkar, and [G2532] Heresh, and [G2532] Galal, and [G2532] Mattaniah son [G5207] of Micah, son [G5207] of Zichri, son [G5207] of Asaph;
16: and [G2532] Obadiah son [G5207] of Shemiah, son [G5207] of Galal, son [G5207] of Jeduthun, and [G2532] Berechiah son [G5207] of Asa, son [G5207] of Elkanah, the [G3588] [one] dwelling [G2730] in [G1722] the [G3588] courtyards of the [G3588] Netophathites.
17: And [G2532] the [G3588] gatekeepers -- willum, and [G2532] Akkub, and [G2532] Talmon, and [G2532] Ahiman, and [G2532] the [G3588]ir brothers [G1473]. willum [was] the [G3588] ruler .
18: And [G2532] unto [G2193] here [G5602] in [G1722] the [G3588] gate [G4439] of the [G3588] king according to [G2596] east , these [are [G3778] the [G3588] gatekeepers for [G1519] the [G3588] camps [G3925] of sons [G5207] of Levi.
19: And [G2532] willum son [G5207] of Kore, son [G5207] of Ebiasaph, son [G5207] of Korah, and [G2532] the [G3588] brothers of him [G1473] according to [G2596] house [G3624] of their fathers [G3965][G1473], the [G3588] Korahites, over [G1909] the [G3588] works [G2041] of the [G3588] service [G1397], guarding [G5442] the [G3588] thresholds of the [G3588] tent [G4633], and [G2532] the [G3588]ir fathers [G3962][G1473] over [G1909] the [G3588] camp [G3925] of Boss '[G2962] guarding [G5442] the [G3588] entrance [G1529].
20: And [G2532] Phinehas son [G5207] of Eleazar being leader [G2233] was over [G1909] them [G1473] before [G1715] Boss '[G2962].
21: And [G2532] with [G3326] these [G3778] Zachariah son [G5207] of Meshellemiah [was] gatekeeper of the [G3588] door [G2374] of the [G3588] tent [G4633] of the [G3588] testimony [G3142].
22: All [G3956] these [G3778] being chosen [G1586] for [G1519] gatekeepers at [G1722] the [G3588] doorposts -- two hundred [G1250] and [G2532] twelve [G1177]. These [G3778] with [G1722] the [G3588]ir properties [G1886][G1473] of the [G3588]ir genealogy [G1076][G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588]ir distribution [G1473], these [G3778] were counted . And [G2532] established [them [G2476] David and [G2532] Samuel the [G3588] seer [G3708] in [G1722] the [G3588]ir trust '[G4102][G1473].
23: And [G2532] these [G3778] the [G3588]ir sons [G5207][G1473] [were] over [G1909] the [G3588] gates [G4439] of house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] tent [G4633] the [G3588] to [keep] watch [G5442].
24: according to [G2596] the [G3588] four [G5064] winds were [stationed gatekeepers -- according to [G2596] east , and [G2532] according to [G2596] west [G2281], and [G2532] north [G1005], and [G2532] south [G3558].
25: And [G2532] the [G3588]ir brothers [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588]ir properties [G1886][G1473] [were] to come [G2064] for [G1519] the [G3588] sevenths [G1442] of the [G3588] times [G2540] the [G3588] to enter [G1531] for [G2596] seven [G2033] days [G2250] from time [G2540] to [G1519] time [G2540] after [G3326] these [G3778].
26: For [G3754] in [G1722] trust '[G4102] [of office] are the [G3588] four [G5064] mighty ones [G1415] of the [G3588] gatekeepers -- they [G1473] the [G3588] Levites. And [G2532] they were over [G1909] the [G3588] cubicles , and [G2532] over [G1909] the [G3588] treasures [G2344] of house [G3624] of the [G3588] God '[G2316].
27: And [G2532] surrounding the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] God '[G2316] they will lodge , for [G3754] upon [G1909] them [G1473] the [G3588] [was] their watch [responsibility [G5438][G1473], and [G2532] they [G1473] [were] over [G1909] the [G3588] keys [G2807] morning [G4404] [by] morning [G4404], to open the [G3588] doors [G2374] of the [G3588] temple [G2413].
28: And [G2532] [some] of [G1537] them [G1473] [were] over [G1909] the [G3588] equipment [G4632] of the [G3588] ministration [G3009], for [G3754] by [G1722] count they carry them in [G1533][G1473], and [G2532] by [G1722] count they bring them forth [G1627][G1473].
29: And [G2532] [some] of [G1537] them [G1473] [were] placed [G2525] over [G1909] the [G3588] equipment [G4632], and [G2532] over [G1909] all [G3956] the [G3588] items [G4632] the [G3588] pure ', and [G2532] over [G1909] the [G3588] fine flour [G4585], and [G2532] the [G3588] wine [G3631], and [G2532] the [G3588] oil [G1637], and [G2532] the [G3588] frankincense [G3030], and [G2532] the [G3588] aromatics .
30: And [G2532] [some] off the [G3588] sons [G5207] of the [G3588] priests [G2409] were perfumers of the [G3588] perfume [G3464] with [G1722] the [G3588] aromatics .
31: And [G2532] Mattithiah of [G1537] the [G3588] Levites -- this one [G3778] [was] the [G3588] first-born [G4416] the [G3588] to willum the [G3588] Korahthite -- [he was] in [G1722] the [G3588] trust '[G4102] over [G1909] the [G3588] works [G2041] of the [G3588] sacrifice [G2378] of the [G3588] pan .
32: And [G2532] Benaiah the [G3588] Kohathite from [G1537] the [G3588]ir brothers [G1473] [was] over [G1909] the [G3588] bread loaves of the [G3588] place setting [G4286], of the [G3588] [one] [being] prepared [G2090] Sabbath [G4521] by [G2596] Sabbath [G4521].
33: And [G2532] these [are [G3778] psalm singers , rulers of the [G3588] families [G3965] of the [G3588] Levites, in [G1722] the [G3588] cubicle being set in order [G1299] for [G1519] daily rotations [G2183], for [G3754] day [G2250] and [G2532] night [G3571], for [G1909] them [G1473] to [do [G1722] the [G3588] works [G2041].
34: These [G3778] [are] rulers of families [G3965] of the [G3588] Levites, according to [G2596] their generations [G1078][G1473]; these rulers [G3778] dwelt [G2730] in [G1722] Jerusalem.
35: And [G2532] in [G1722] Gibeon dwelt [G2730] father [G3962] of Gibeon Jehiel], and [G2532] name [G3686] [to the [G3588] his wife [G1135][G1473] [was] Maachah.
36: And [G2532] son [G5207] of him [G1473], the [G3588] first-born [G4416], [was] Abadon, and [G2532] Zur, and [G2532] Kish, and [G2532] Baal, and [G2532] Ner, and [G2532] Nadab,
37: and [G2532] Gedor, and [G2532] the [G3588] [his] brothers [G1473], and [G2532] Zechariah, and [G2532] Mikloth.
38: And [G2532] Mikloth engendered [G1080] the [G3588] Shimeam. And [G2532] these [G3778] in [G1722] midst [G3319] of the [G3588]ir brothers [G1473] dwelt [G2730] in [G1722] Jerusalem, with [G3326] the [G3588]ir brothers [G1473].
39: And [G2532] Ner engendered [G1080] the [G3588] Kish, and [G2532] Kish engendered [G1080] the [G3588] Saul, and [G2532] Saul engendered [G1080] the [G3588] Jonathan, and [G2532] the [G3588] Malchishua, and [G2532] the [G3588] Abinadab, and [G2532] the [G3588] Esh-baal.
40: And [G2532] son [G5207] of Jonathan [was] Merib-baal, and [G2532] Merib-baal engendered [G1080] the [G3588] Micah.
41: And [G2532] sons [G5207] of Micah -- Pithon, and [G2532] Melech, and [G2532] Tahrea, and [G2532] Ahaz.
42: And [G2532] Ahaz engendered [G1080] the [G3588] Jarah; and [G2532] Jarah engendered [G1080] the [G3588] Alemeth, and [G2532] the [G3588] Azmaveth, and [G2532] the [G3588] Zimri; and [G2532] Zimri engendered [G1080] the [G3588] Moza;
43: and [G2532] Moza engendered [G1080] the [G3588] Baana, Raphaiah son [G5207] of him [G1473], Eleasah son [G5207] of him [G1473], Azel son [G5207] of him [G1473].
44: And [G2532] the [G3588] to Azel [were] six [G1803] sons [G5207], and [G2532] these [are [G3778] the [G3588]ir names [G3686][G1473] -- Azrikam his first-born [G4416][G1473], and [G2532] Ishmael, and [G2532] Sheariah, and [G2532] Obadiah, and [G2532] Hanan. These [are the [G3778] sons [G5207] of Azel.
