Jeremiah Chapter 44 - | Early Church Bible

1: The [G3588] word [G3056] the [G3588] coming [G1096] to [G4314] Jeremiah to all [G3956] the [G3588] Jews the [G3588] dwelling [G2730] in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Egypt, and [G2532] to the [G3588] [ones] settling [G2521] in [G1722] Migdol, and [G2532] in [G1722] Tahpanhes, and [G2532] in [G1722] Memphis, and [G2532] in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Pathros, saying [G3004],
2: Thus [G3779] said [G2036] Boss '[G2962] of for the [G3588]ces [G1411], the [G3588] God '[G2316] of Israel, You [G1473] have seen [G3708] all [G3956] the [G3588] evils [G2556] which [G3739] I brought [G1863] upon [G1909] Jerusalem, and [G2532] upon [G1909] the [G3588] cities [G4172] of Judah. And [G2532] look [G2400], they are desolate [G2048] today [G4594] off ones dwelling [G1774],
3: because off face [G4383] of their wickedness [G4189][G1473] of which [G3739] they did [G4160] to greatly embitter [G3893] me [G1473]; going [G4198] to burn incense [G2370] gods '[G2316] to other [G2087] which [G3739] knew not [G3756][G1097] they [G1473], even [G2532] you [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] your fathers [G3962][G1473].
4: And [G2532] I sent to [G4314] you [G1473] the [G3588] my servants [G3816][G1473] the [G3588] prophets [G4396] early [G3722]. And [G2532] I sent saying [G3004], You will not [G3361] do [G4160] [this the [G3588] thing [G4229], the [G3588] this contamination [G3778] of which [G3739] I detested [G3404].
5: And [G2532] they did not [G3756] hearken to me [G1473], and [G2532] they did not [G3756] lean [G2827] the [G3588]ir ear [G3775][G1473] to turn from the [G3588]ir evils [G2556][G1473] to [G4314] the [G3588] not [G3361] burn incense [G2370] gods '[G2316] to other [G2087].
6: And [G2532] dripped [upon them the [G3588] my anger [G3709][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] my rage [G2372][G1473], and [G2532] it was kindled [G1572] in [G1722] cities [G4172] of Judah, and [G2532] outside [G1855] Jerusalem. And [G2532] they became [G1096] for [G1519] desolation [G2050] and [G2532] for [G1519] an untrodden [place] , as [G5613] this day [G2250][G3778].
7: And [G2532] now [G3568] thus [G3779] said [G2036] Boss '[G2962] almighty [G3841], the [G3588] God '[G2316] of Israel, Why [G2444] do you [G1473] do [G4160] evils [G2556] great [G3173] against [G1909] your souls [G5590][G1473]? to cut off [G1581] from you [G1473], man and [G2532] woman [G1135], infant [G3516] and [G2532] one nursing [G2337], from [G1537] midst [G3319] of Judah, to [G4314] the [G3588] not [G3361] leave behind [G2641] for yourselves [G1473] not one [person [G3367];
8: to embitter me greatly [G3893][G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] works [G2041] of the [G3588] hands [G5495] of you [G1473], to burn incense [G2370] to gods '[G2316] other [G2087] in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Egypt, into [G1519] which [G3739] you entered [G1525] to dwell [G2730] there [G1563], that [G2443] you should be cut off [G1581], and [G2532] that [G2443] you should become [G1096] as [G1519] a curse [G2671] and [G2532] for [G1519] scorning [G3680] among [G1722] all [G3956] the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484] of the [G3588] land '[G1093].
9: Have you [G3361] yourselves forgotten [G1950][G1473] the [G3588] evils [G2556] of the [G3588] your fathers [G3962][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] evils [G2556] of the [G3588] kings of Judah, and [G2532] the [G3588] evils [G2556] of the [G3588] your rulers [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] evils [G2556] of the [G3588] your wives [G1135][G1473], which [G3739] they did [G4160] in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Judah, and [G2532] outside [G1855] of Jerusalem?
10: And [G2532] they did not [G3756] cease [G3973] unto [G2193] the [G3588] this day [G2250][G3778]. And [G2532] they feared not [G3756][G5399], and [G2532] held not to [G3756] the [G3588] orders of me [G1473] which [G3739] I put [G1325] in front [G2596][G4383] of them [G1473], and [G2532] in front [G2596][G4383] of the [G3588]ir fathers [G3962][G1473].
11: On account of [G1223] this [G3778], thus [G3779] said [G2036] Boss '[G2962] of for the [G3588]ces [G1411], the [G3588] God '[G2316] of Israel; look [G2400], I [G1473] set [G2186] the [G3588] my face [G4383][G1473] against [G1909] you [G1473] for [G1519] evil [G2556], the [G3588] to destroy all [G3956] Judah.
12: And [G2532] I will take [G2983] the [G3588] remnant [G2645] of Judah, the [G3588] [ones] [that] established [G5087] the [G3588]ir face [G4383][G1473] the [G3588] to enter [G1525] into [G1519] land '[G1093] of Egypt the [G3588] to dwell [G2730] there [G1563], and [G2532] they will fail [G1587] all [G3956] in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Egypt. And [G2532] they will fall [G4098] by [G1722] broadsword [G4501], and [G2532] by [G1722] famine [G3042] they will fail [G1587], from small [G3397] unto [G2193] great [G3173]. And [G2532] they will be for [G1519] scorning [G3680], and [G2532] for [G1519] destruction , and [G2532] for [G1519] a curse [G2671].
13: And [G2532] I will visit [G1980] against [G1909] the [G3588] [ones] settling [G2521] in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Egypt, as [G5613] I visited [G1980] against [G1909] Jerusalem by [G1722] broadsword [G4501], and [G2532] by [G1722] famine [G3042], and [G2532] by [G1722] plague [G2288].
14: And [G2532] there will not [G3756] be one escaping [G4982], not one [G3762] of the [G3588] [ones] remaining [G1954] of Judah, of the [G3588] [ones] sojourning [G3939] in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Egypt, the [G3588] to return [G1994] into [G1519] land '[G1093] of Judah upon [G1909] which [G3739] they [G1473] hope [G1679] [in the [G3588]ir souls [G5590][G1473] the [G3588] to return [G1994] there [G1563]. In no way will they return [G1994], except [G1508] the [G3588] [ones] escaping .
15: And [G2532] they answered [to the [G3588] Jeremiah -- all [G3956] the [G3588] men the [G3588] knowing [G1097] that [G3754] burned incense [G2370] the [G3588]ir wives [G1135][G1473] gods '[G2316] to other [G2087], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] women [G1135], gathering [G4864] a great [G3173], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] people [G2992] the [G3588] settling down [G2521] in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Egypt in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Pathros, saying [G3004],
16: The [G3588] word [G3056] which [G3739] you spoke [G2980] to [G4314] us [G1473] in the [G3588] name [G3686] of Boss '[G2962], we will not [G3756] hearken to you [G1473].
17: For [G3754] in doing [G4160] we will do [G4160] all [G3956] the [G3588] word '[G3056] which [G3739] will come forth [G1831] out of [G1537] the [G3588] our mouth [G4750][G1473] to burn incense [G2370] to the [G3588] queen of the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772], and [G2532] to offer [G4689] to her [G1473] libations , as [G2505] we did [G4160] ourselves [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] our fathers [G3962][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] our kings [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] our rulers [G1473] in [G1722] cities [G4172] of Judah, and [G2532] outside [G1855] Jerusalem. And [G2532] we were filled [G4130] of bread loaves , and [G2532] we were [G1096] better [off [G5543], and [G2532] bad [things] [G2556] we did not [G3756] see [G1492].
18: And [G2532] as [G5613] we stopped [G1257] burning incense [G2370] to the [G3588] queen of the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772], and [G2532] offering a libation [G4689] to her [G1473] of a libation , were made less [G3956] all [G3956] we [G1473], and [G2532] by [G1722] broadsword [G4501] and [G2532] by [G1722] famine [G3042] we failed [G1587].
19: And [G2532] [seeing] that [G3754] we [G1473] burned incense [G2370] to the [G3588] queen of the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772], and [G2532] offered [G4689] to her [G1473] libations , did we [G3361] without the [G3588] our husbands [G1473] make [G4160] to her [G1473] cakes , and [G2532] offer [G4689] libations to her [G1473]?
20: And [G2532] Jeremiah said [G2036] to all [G3956] the [G3588] people [G2992], to the [G3588] mighty [men [G1415], and [G2532] to the [G3588] women [G1135], and [G2532] to all [G3956] the [G3588] people [G2992] the [G3588] responding to him [G1473] [with] words [G3056], saying [G3004],
21: Did not [G3780], [concerning] the [G3588] incense [G2368] of which [G3739] you burned [G2370] in [G1722] the [G3588] cities [G4172] of Judah, and [G2532] outside [G1855] Jerusalem, you [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] your fathers [G3962][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] your kings [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] your rulers [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] people [G2992] of the [G3588] land '[G1093], BOSS remember [G3403][G2962]? even [G2532] it went up unto [G1909] the [G3588] his heart [G2588][G1473].
22: And [G2532] was not [G3756] able [G1410] Boss '[G2962] still [G2089] to bear up [G5342] from in front [G4383] [of the] wickedness [G4189] of your deeds [G4229][G1473], and [G2532] from the [G3588] your abominations [G1473] which [G3739] you did [G4160]; and [G2532] became [G1096] the [G3588] your land '[G1093][G1473] for [G1519] desolation [G2050], and [G2532] for [G1519] an untrodden [place] , and [G2532] for [G1519] a curse , as [G5613] the [G3588] this day [G2250][G1473];
23: from in front of [G4383] which [G3739] you burned incense [G2370], and [G2532] which [G3739] you sinned [against] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] hearkened not to [G3756][G1522] the [G3588] voice [G5456] of Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] to [G1722] the [G3588] his orders [G1473], and [G2532] to [G1722] the [G3588] his law [G3551][G1473]; and [G2532] by [G1722] the [G3588] his testimonies [G3142][G1473] you did not [G3756] go [G4198]; and [G2532] took hold of [G1949] you [G1473] the [G3588]se evils [G2556][G1473] as [G5613] the [G3588] this day [G2250][G3778].
24: And [G2532] Jeremiah said [G2036] to the [G3588] people [G2992], and [G2532] to the [G3588] women [G1135], Hear the [G3588] word [G3056] of Boss '[G2962] all [G3956] Judah, the [G3588] [ones] in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Egypt!
25: Thus [G3779] said [G2036] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of Israel, You [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] your women [G1135] [with] the [G3588] your mouth [G4750][G1473] spoke [G2980], and [G2532] the [G3588] by your hands [G5495][G1473] fulfilled [G4137], saying [G3004], In offering [G4160], we will offer [G4160] the [G3588] our acknowledgment [offerings [G3671][G1473] which [G3739] we acknowledged [G3670], to burn incense [G2370] to the [G3588] queen of the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772], and [G2532] to offer [G4689] to her [G1473] libations . In adhering [G1696] you adhered to [G1696] the [G3588] your acknowledgment [offerings [G3671][G1473], and [G2532] offerings [G4160] which you offered [G4160].
26: On account of [G1223] this [G3778], hear word [G3056] of Boss '[G2962] all [G3956] Judah the [G3588] settling down [G2521] in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Egypt! look [G2400], I swore by an oath [G3660] [to the [G3588] name [G3686] my [G1473] the [G3588] great [G3173], said [G2036] Boss '[G2962]. will [G1437] be [G1096] no longer [G2089] Name [G3686] of me [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] mouth [G4750] of all [G3956] Judah to say [G2036], Live [G2198] O Boss '[G2962] Boss '[G2962], in [G1722] all [G3956] land '[G1093] of Egypt.
27: For [G3754] look [G2400], I [G1473] have been vigilant [G1453] against [G1909] them [G1473], the [G3588] to inflict hurt [G2559] on them [G1473], and [G2532] to not [G3756] do good . And [G2532] will fail [G1587] all [G3956] Judah the [G3588] dwelling [G2730] in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Egypt] by [G1722] broadsword [G4501], and [G2532] by [G1722] famine [G3042], until [G2193] whenever they will cease [G1587].
28: And [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] escaping [G4982] from broadsword [G4501] will return [G1994] into [G1519] land '[G1093] of Judah [being] few [G3641] in number . And [G2532] will know [G1097] all [G3956] the [G3588] remnant [G2645] of Judah], the [G3588] [ones] sojourning [G3939] in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Egypt to sojourn [G3939] there [G1563], whose word [G3056][G5100] will adhere [G1696], the [G3588] mine [G1699] or [G2228] the [G3588]irs [G1473].
29: And [G2532] this [G3778] [is] the [G3588] sign [G4592], says [G3004] Boss '[G2962], to you [G1473], That [G3754] I myself will visit [G1980][G1473] upon [G1909] you [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] this place [G5117][G3778], that [G2443] you should know [G1097] that [G3754] will adhere [G1696] the [G3588] my words [G3056][G1473] unto [G1909] you [G1473] for [G1519] evils [G2556].
30: Thus [G3779] said [G2036] Boss '[G2962], look [G2400], I [G1473] give [G1325] the [G3588] Pharaoh Hophra king of Egypt into [G1519] hands [G5495] of his enemy [G2190][G1473], and [G2532] into [G1519] hands [G5495] of ones seeking [G2212] the [G3588] his life [G5590][G1473]; as [G2505] I have given [G1325] the [G3588] Zedekiah king of Judah into [G1519] hands [G5495] of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, his enemy [G2190][G1473], and [G2532] one seeking [G2212] the [G3588] his life [G5590][G1473].
