Jeremiah Chapter 35 - | Early Church Bible

1: The [G3588] word [G3056] the [G3588] coming [G1096] to [G4314] Jeremiah by [G3844] Boss '[G2962] in [G1722] days [G2250] of Jehoiakim son [G5207] of Josiah king of Judah, saying [G3004],
2: Proceed unto [G1519] family [G3614] of Rechabites, and [G2532] call [G2564] them [G1473], and [G2532] you will convey ' them [G1473] into [G1519] house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962], into [G1519] one [G1520] of the [G3588] courtyards , and [G2532] give them to drink [G4222][G1473] wine [G3631].
3: And [G2532] he conveyed ' the [G3588] Jaazaniah son [G5207] of Jeremiah, son [G5207] of Habaziniah, and [G2532] the [G3588] brothers of him [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] his sons [G5207][G1473], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] family [G3614] of Rechabites;
4: and [G2532] they brought [G1521] them [G1473] into [G1519] house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962], into [G1519] the [G3588] cubicle of sons [G5207] of Hanan son [G5207] of Igdaliah, a man of the [G3588] God '[G2316], which [G3739] is near [G1451] the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] rulers , above [G1883] the [G3588] house [G3624] of Maaseiah son [G5207] of willum, the [G3588] [one] guarding [G5442] the [G3588] way [G3598].
5: And [G2532] I set [G2476] in front of [G2596][G4383] them [G1473] a clay vessel [G2765] of wine [G3631], and [G2532] cups [G4221], and [G2532] I said [G2036], Drink [G4095] wine [G3631]!
6: And [G2532] they said [G2036], In no way should we drink [G4095] wine [G3631], for [G3754] Jonadab son [G5207] of Rechab the [G3588] father [G3962] of us [G1473] gave charge [G1781] to us [G1473], saying [G3004], In no way will you drink [G4095] wine [G3631], you [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] your sons [G5207][G1473] unto [G2193] the [G3588] age (term) `.
7: And [G2532] houses [G3614] in no way way will you build [G3618], [nor [G2532] seed [G4690] in any way will you sow [G4687], and [G2532] a vineyard will not be [G3756] to you [G1473]; for [G3754] in [G1722] tents [G4633] you will dwell [G2730] all [G3956] the [G3588] your days [G2250][G1473], so [G3704] that you should live [G2198] days [G2250] many [G4183] upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093], upon [G1909] which [G3739] you spend your time [G1304][G1473] upon [G1909] it [G1473].
8: And [G2532] we hearkened to [G1522] the [G3588] voice [G5456] of Jonadab son [G5207] of Rechab the [G3588] father [G3962] of us [G1473] in [G1722] all [things] [G3956] which [G3739] he gave charge to [G1781] us [G1473], to [G4314] the [G3588] not [G3361] drink [G4095] wine [G3631] all [G3956] the [G3588] days [G2250] of the [G3588] our life [G2222][G1473], we [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] our wives [G1135][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] our sons [G5207][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] our daughters [G2364][G1473];
9: for [G4314] the [G3588] to not [G3361] build [G3618] houses [G3614] the [G3588] to dwell in [G2730] there [G1563], and [G2532] a vineyard and [G2532] a field , and [G2532] seed [G4690] -- it happened not [G3756][G1096] to us [G1473].
10: And [G2532] we lived [G3611] in [G1722] tents [G4633], and [G2532] we hearkened , and [G2532] did [G4160] according to [G2596] all [G3956] as much as [G3745] gave charge [G1781] to us [G1473] Jonadab the [G3588] our father [G3962][G1473].
11: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] when [G3753] went up Nebuchadnezzar king of the [G3588] Babylon] upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093], and [G2532] we said [G2036], In going up we will enter [G1525] into [G1519] Jerusalem from in front [G4383] of the [G3588] Chaldeans, and [G2532] from in front [G4383] of for the [G3588]ce [G1411] of the [G3588] Assyrians. And [G2532] we lived [G3611] there [G1563].
12: And [G2532] came to pass [G1096] word [G3056] of Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] me [G1473], saying [G3004],
13: Thus [G3779] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962] of for the [G3588]ces [G1411], the [G3588] God '[G2316] of Israel, Go [G4198] and [G2532] say [G2036] to man of Judah! and [G2532] to the [G3588] [ones] dwelling [G2730] Jerusalem. In no way will you take [G2983] instruction [G3809] to hear the [G3588] my word [G3056][G1473], says [G3004] Boss '[G2962].
14: established [G2476] word [G4487] sons [G5207] of Jonadab son [G5207] of Rechab], the [G3588] [one] given charge [G1781] [to the [G3588] his children [G5043][G1473] to [G4314] the [G3588] not [G3361] drink [G4095] wine [G3631]; and [G2532] they drank not [G3756][G4095] unto [G2193] the [G3588] this day [G2250][G3778], for [G3754] they hearkened to the [G3588] command [G1785] of the [G3588]ir father [G3962][G1473]. And [G2532] I [G1473] spoke [G2980] to [G4314] you [G1473] early [G3722], and [G2532] I spoke [G2980] and [G2532] you did not [G3756] hearken .
15: And [G2532] I sent to [G4314] you [G1473] the [G3588] my servants [G3816][G1473] the [G3588] prophets [G4396] rising early [G3719] in the morning [G4404] and [G2532] sending , saying [G3004], Let turn each [G1538] from the [G3588] way [G3598] of him '[G1473] the [G3588] evil [G4190]! And [G2532] better do [G4160] the [G3588] in your practices [G1473]! and [G2532] you will not [G3756] go [G4198] after [G3694] gods '[G2316] other [G2087] the [G3588] to serve [G1398] them [G1473]. And [G2532] you will live [G3611] upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093] which [G3739] I gave [G1325] to you [G1473], and [G2532] [to the [G3588] your fathers [G3962][G1473]. And [G2532] you leaned not [G3756][G2827] the [G3588] your ears [G3775][G1473], and [G2532] you hearkened not [G3756][G1522].
16: But [G2532] established [G2476] sons [G5207] of Jonadab son [G5207] of Rechab] the [G3588] commandment [G1785] of the [G3588]ir father [G3962][G1473], which [G3739] he gave charge to [G1781] them [G1473]. the [G3588] But [G1161] this people [G2992][G3778] not [G3756] heard me [G1473].
17: On account of [G1223] this [G3778], Thus [G3779] said [G2036] Boss '[G2962] of for the [G3588]ces [G1411], the [G3588] God '[G2316] of Israel, look [G2400], I [G1473] bring [G5342] upon [G1909] Judah, and [G2532] upon [G1909] the [G3588] [ones] dwelling [G2730] Jerusalem all [G3956] the [G3588] bad [things] [G2556] which [G3739] I spoke [G2980] against [G1909] them [G1473]. For [G1360] I spoke [G2980] to them [G1473] and [G2532] they hearkened not [G3756]. And [G2532] I called [G2564] them [G1473], and [G2532] they did not answer [G3756].
18: And [G2532] to the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] Rechabites, Jeremiah said [G2036], Thus [G3779] said [G2036] Boss '[G2962], Since [G1894] hearkened to sons [G5207] of Jonadab son [G5207] of Rechab] the [G3588] commandment [G1785] of the [G3588]ir father [G3962][G1473], to do [G4160] in so far as [G2530] gave charge [G1781] to them [G1473] the [G3588]ir father [G3962][G1473]; on account of [G1223] this [G3778] thus [G3779] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962] of for the [G3588]ces [G1411], the [G3588] God '[G2316] of Israel,
19: No way will there fail [G1587] a man of the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Jonadab son [G5207] of Rechab standing [G3936] in front [G2596][G4383] of me [G1473] all [G3956] the [G3588] days [G2250].
