Isaiah Chapter 42 - | Early Church Bible

1: Jacob, the [G3588] my child [G3816][G1473], I will take hold of him [G1473]. Israel, the [G3588] my chosen [G1588][G1473], favorably received [G4327] him [G1473] the [G3588] soul [G5590] of me [G1473]. I have put [G1325] the [G3588] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] of me [G1473] upon [G1909] him [G1473], judgment [G2920] to the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484] he will bring forth [G1627].
2: He will not [G3756] cry out [G2896], nor [G3761] will he send up [his voice , nor [G3761] will be heard outside [G1854] the [G3588] his voice [G5456][G1473].
3: A reed [G2563] being crushed [G4917] he will not [G3756] break [G4937], and [G2532] flax [G3043] smoking he will not [G3756] extinguish [G4570]; but to [G1519] validity he will bring forth [G1627] judgment [G2920].
4: He will illuminate , and [G2532] will not [G3756] be devastated [G2352] until [G2193] whenever he should set [G5087] upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093] judgment [G2920]. And [G2532] upon [G1909] the [G3588] name [G3686] of him [G1473] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484] will hope [G1679].
5: Thus [G3779] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316], the [G3588] [one] making [G4160] the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772], and [G2532] pitching [G4078] it [G1473]; solidifying [G4732] the [G3588] land '[G1093], and [G2532] the [things] [G3588] in [G1722] it [G1473]; and [G2532] giving [G1325] breath [G4157] to the [G3588] people [G2992] the [G3588] upon [G1909] it [G1473], and [G2532] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] to the [G3588] [ones] treading [G3961] it [G1473].
6: I [G1473] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] called [G2564] you [G1473] in [G1722] righteousness [G1343], and [G2532] I will hold [G2902] the [G3588] your hand [G5495][G1473], and [G2532] I will strengthen [G1765] you [G1473]; and [G2532] I gave [G1325] you [G1473] for [G1519] a covenant [G1242] of a race [G1085], for [G1519] a light [G5457] of tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484];
7: to open eyes [G3788] of blind [G5185], to lead out [G1806] of [G1537] bonds [G1199] ones being tied [G1210]; from out of [G1537] house [G3624] of prison [G5438] also [G2532] ones sitting [G2521] in [G1722] darkness [G4655].
8: I [G1473] [am the] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316]; this [G3778] is my [G1473] the [G3588] name [G3686]; the [G3588] my glory [G1391][G1473] to another [G2087] I will not [G3756] give [G1325], nor [G3761] the [G3588] my virtues [G1473] to the [G3588] carvings .
9: the [things] [G3588] from beginning , look [G2400], they have come [G2240], and [G2532] new [things] [G2537] which [G3739] I [G1473] will announce , even [G2532] before [G4253] the [G3588] announcing , it was made manifest [G1213] to you [G1473].
10: Sing [G5214] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] hymn [G5215] a new [G2537]! Glorify [G1392] the [G3588] name [G3686] of him [G1473] from uttermost part of the [G3588] land '[G1093]! O ones the [G3588] going down [G2597] into [G1519] the [G3588] sea [G2281], and [G2532] sailing [G4126] it [G1473]; the [G3588] islands [G3520], and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] dwelling in [G2730] them [G1473].
11: Be glad [G2165], O wilderness [G2048] and [G2532] the [G3588] her towns [G2968][G1473], properties [G1886], and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] dwelling in [G2730] Kedar! will be glad [G2165] the [G3588] [ones] dwelling in [G2730] rock [G4073]. From tip of the [G3588] raised-places (mountains) '[G3735] they will yell .
12: They will give [G1325] the [G3588] to God '[G2316] glory [G1391]; the [G3588] his virtues [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] islands [G3520] they will report .
13: Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of for the [G3588]ces [G1411] will go forth [G1831], and [G2532] will break [G4937] war [G4171]. He will rouse [G1892] zeal [G2205], and [G2532] will yell against [G1909] the [G3588] his enemies [G2190][G1473] with [G3326] strength [G2479].
14: I kept silent [G4623] from age (term) `; will I [G3361] also [G2532] continually keep silent [G4623] and [G2532] endure ? As [G5613] the [G3588] woman giving birth [G5088] perseveres [G2594], I will now amaze [G1839] and [G2532] dry out [G3583] at the same time .
15: I will make desolate [G2049] raised-places (mountains) '[G3735] and [G2532] hills [G1015], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588]ir grass [G5528][G1473] will dry out [G3583]. And [G2532] I will make [G5087] rivers [G4215] into [G1519] islands [G3520], and [G2532] marshes to dry [land [G3583].
16: And [G2532] I will convey ' blind [G5185] in [G1722] way [G3598] which [G3739] they knew not [G3756][G1097], and [G2532] roads [G5147] which [G3739] they had not [G3756] seen [G1492] to tread [G3961] I will cause [G4160] them [G1473]. I will make [G4160] for them [G1473] darkness [G4655] into [G1519] light [G5457], and [G2532] crooked [G4646] into [G1519] straight [G2117]. These are [G3778] the [G3588] things [G4487] I will do [G4160] to them [G1473], and [G2532] I will not [G3756] abandon [G1459] them [G1473].
17: But they [G1473][G1161] were turned into [G1519] the [G3588] rear [G3694]. You should be ashamed with shame , O ones the [G3588] relying [G3982] upon [G1909] the [G3588] carvings , O ones the [G3588] saying [G3004] to the [G3588] molten [images , You [G1473] are our gods '[G2316][G1473].
18: O the [G3588] deaf-mutes [G2974], hear ! and [G2532] O the [G3588] blind [G5185], look up to look [at] [G1492]!
19: And [G2532] who [G5100] [is] blind [G5185], but the [G3588] my servants [G3816][G1473]? And [G2532] [who are] deaf-mutes [G2974], but the [G3588] [ones] dominating [G2961] them [G1473]? Who [G5100] [is] blind [G5185] as [G5613] the [G3588] [one] receiving ? even [G2532] were blinded [G5186] the [G3588] servants [G1401] of the [G3588] God '[G2316].
20: You looked [at] [G1492] many times , and [G2532] watched not [G3756][G5442]; opening the [G3588] ears [G3775], and [G2532] heard not [G3756].
21: Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] willed [G1014] that [G2443] he should be justified [G1344], and [G2532] should magnify [G3170] praise .
22: And [G2532] I looked [at] [G1492], and [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] the [G3588] people [G2992] were being despoiled and [G2532] plundered [G1283]; for the [G3588][G1063] snare [G3803] [is] in [G1722] the [G3588] storerooms [G5009] everywhere [G3837], and [G2532] in [G1722] houses [G3624] together where [G3699] they hid [G2928] them [G1473]; they became [G1096] for [G1519] plunder , and [G2532] there was not [G3756] the [G3588] [one] rescuing [G1807] one seized ; and [G2532] there was not [G3756] the [G3588] [one] saying [G3004], Give back !
23: Who [G5100] among [G1722] you [G1473] will give ear to [G1801] these [things] [G3778] which [G3739] will be heard [G1522] for [G1519] the [things] [G3588] coming about [G1904]?
24: Who [G5100] gave [G1325] for [G1519] ravaging Jacob], and [G2532] Israel to the [G3588] [ones] plundering ? [Was it] not [G3780] the [G3588] God '[G2316] to whom [G3739] they sinned ? And [G2532] they did not [G3756] want [G1014] in [G1722] the [G3588] his ways [G3598][G1473] to go [G4198], nor [G3761] to hear the [G3588] his law [G3551][G1473].
25: And [G2532] he brought [G1863] upon [G1909] them [G1473] anger [G3709] of his rage [G2372][G1473]; and [G2532] strengthened [G2729] [against] them [G1473] war [G4171] and [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] burning them [G1473] round about [G2945]; and [G2532] did not [G3756] know [G1097] each [G1538] of them [G1473], nor [G3761] put [it [G5087] unto [G1909] [their] soul [G5590].
