1: In the [G3588] seventh [G1442] month [G3376], one [G1520] and [G2532] twentieth day of the [G3588] month [G3376], came to pass [G1096] word [G3056] of Boss '[G2962] by [G1722] hand [G5495] of Haggai the [G3588] prophet [G4396], saying [G3004],
2: Speak [G2036] indeed [G1211] to [G4314] Zerubbabel the [G3588] [son of the [G3588] Shealtiel of [G1537] tribe [G5443] of Judah, and [G2532] to [G4314] Joshua the [son] of the [G3588] Josedech the [G3588] priest [G2409] the [G3588] great [G3173], and [G2532] to [G4314] all [G3956] the [G3588] [ones] left [G2645] of the [G3588] people [G2992], saying [G3004],
3: Who [is there [G5100] of [G1537] you [G1473] who [G3739] looked [at] [G1492] the [G3588] this house [G3624][G3778] in [G1722] the [G3588] glory [G1391] of it [G1473] for the [G3588]mer [G1715]? And [G2532] how [G4459] do you [G1473] see it [G1473] now [G3568]? [Is it] as [G2531] not [G3756] existing [G5224] before [G1799] you [G1473]?
4: And [G2532] now [G3568], take strength [G2729], O Zerubbabel, says [G3004] Boss '[G2962]! And [G2532] take strength [G2729], O Joshua, the [G3588] [son of the [G3588] Josedech the [G3588] priest [G2409] the [G3588] great [G3173]! and [G2532] let grow strong [G2729] all [G3956] the [G3588] people [G2992] of the [G3588] land '[G1093]! says [G3004] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] act [G4160]! For [G1360] I [G1473] with [G3326] you [G1473] am , says [G3004] Boss '[G2962] almighty [G3841].
5: The [G2532] word [G3056] which [G3739] I ordained [G1303] with you [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] your coming forth [G1831][G1473] from Egypt, and [G2532] the [G3588] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] of me [G1473] I set [G2186] in [G1722] midst [G3319] of you [G1473] -- take courage [G2293]!
6: For [G1360] thus [G3592] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962] almighty [G3841], Still [G2089] once I [G1473] will shake [G4579] the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772], and [G2532] the [G3588] land '[G1093], and [G2532] the [G3588] sea [G2281], and [G2532] the [G3588] dry [land [G3584].
7: And [G2532] I will shake all [G3956] the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484]. And [G2532] will come [G2240] the [G3588] chosen [G1588] of all [G3956] the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484], and [G2532] I will fill [G4130] the [G3588] this house [G3624][G3778] [with] glory [G1391], says [G3004] Boss '[G2962] almighty [G3841].
8: Mine [is [G1699] the [G3588] silver , and [G2532] mine [is [G1699] the [G3588] gold [G5553], says [G3004] Boss '[G2962] almighty [G3841].
9: For [G1360] great [G3173] will be the [G3588] glory [G1391] of the [G3588] this house [G3624][G3778], the [G3588] last one [G2078] above [G5228] the [G3588] first [G4413], says [G3004] Boss '[G2962] almighty [G3841]. And [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] this place [G5117][G3778] I will establish [G1325] peace [G1515], says [G3004] Boss '[G2962] almighty [G3841]; even [G2532] peace [G1515] of soul [G5590] for [G1519] procurement [G4047] to every one [G3956] the [G3588] creating [G2936] the [G3588] to raise up the [G3588] this temple [G3485][G3778].
10: In the [G2532] fourth and [G2532] twentieth day in the [G3588] ninth [G1766] month [G3376], [in the] year [G2094] second [G1208] of [G1909] Darius, came to pass [G1096] word [G3056] of Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] Haggai the [G3588] prophet [G4396], saying [G3004],
11: Thus [G3592] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962] almighty [G3841], Ask [G1905] indeed [G1211] of the [G3588] priests [G2409] [concerning the] law [G3551]! saying [G3004],
12: If [G1437] took [G2983] a man meat [G2907] pure ' with [G1722] the [G3588] tip of the [G3588] his garment [G2440][G1473], and [G2532] there touched the [G3588] tip of the [G3588] his garment [G2440][G1473] [some] bread , or [G2228] stew , or [G2228] wine [G3631], or [G2228] olive oil [G1637], or [G2228] any [G3956] food [G1033], will it [G1487] be sanctified ? And [G2532] answered the [G3588] priests [G2409] and [G2532] said [G2036], No [G3756].
13: And [G2532] Haggai said [G2036], If [G1437] should touch one being defiled [G3392] upon [G1909] a [dead] soul [G5590] off any [G3956] of these [G3778], will [G1487] he be defiled [G3392]? And [G2532] answered the [G3588] priests [G2409] and [G2532] said [G2036], He will be defiled [G3392].
14: And [G2532] Haggai answered and [G2532] said [G2036], So [G3779] the [G3588] this people [G2992][G3778], and [G2532] so [G3779] the [G3588] this tradition-people (ethnic) '[G1484][G3778] [is] before [G1799] me [G1473], says [G3004] Boss '[G2962]; and [G2532] so [G3779] all [G3956] the [G3588] works [G2041] of the [G3588]ir hands [G5495][G1473]; and [G2532] whoever [G3739] should approach [G1448] [unto] there [G1563] will be defiled [G3392]; because of [G1752] the [G3588]ir concerns [G1473] of the [G3588] early morning [burdens [G3720]; they will grieve [G3600] from in front [G4383] of their wickednesses [G4189][G1473]; and [G2532] you detested [G3404] the [G3588] [ones] at [G1722] doors [G2374] reproving [G1651].
15: And [G2532] now [G3568], set [it [G5087] indeed [G1211] upon [G1909] the [G3588] your hearts [G2588][G1473] from the [G3588] this day [G2250][G3778] and [G2532] above [G5231], before [G4253] the [G3588] putting [G5087] stone [G3037] upon [G1909] stone [G3037] in [G1722] the [G3588] temple [G3485] of Boss '[G2962],
16: what [G5100] you were when [G3753] you put [G1685] into [G1519] granary of barley [G2915] twenty [G1501] seahs [G4568], and [G2532] there existed [G1096] [only] ten [G1176] seahs [G4568] of barley [G2915]. And [G2532] you entered [G1531] into [G1519] the [G3588] wine-vat [G5276] to draw out fifty [G4004] measures [G3355], and [G2532] there existed [G1096] [only] twenty [G1501].
17: I struck [G3960] you [G1473] with [G1722] being non-productive , and [G2532] with [G1722] being wind-blown , and [G2532] with [G1722] hail [G5464] [upon] all [G3956] the [G3588] works [G2041] of the [G3588] hands [G5495] of you [G1473]; and [G2532] you did not [G3756] turn [G1994] to [G4314] me [G1473], says [G3004] Boss '[G2962].
18: Arrange [G5021] indeed [G1211] the [G3588] your hearts [G2588][G1473] from the [G3588] this day [G2250][G1473] and [G2532] beyond [G1900]! From the [G3588] fourth and [G2532] twentieth day of the [G3588] ninth [G1766] month [G3376], and [G2532] from the [G3588] day [G2250] of which [G3739] was laid a foundation [G2311] the [G3588] temple [G3485] [of the] Boss '[G2962], establish it [G5087] in [G1722] the [G3588] your hearts [G2588][G1473]!
19: will [G1487] yet [G2089] it be recognized [G1921] upon [G1909] the [G3588] threshing-floor, [no . And [G2532] will [G1487] yet [G2089] the [G3588] grapevine , and [G2532] the [G3588] fig-tree [G4808], and [G2532] the [G3588] pomegranate , and [G2532] the [G3588] trees [G3586] of the [G3588] olive [G1636], the [G3588] [ones] not [G3756] bearing [G5342] fruit [be recognized], [no [G2590]. From the [G3588] this day [G2250][G3778] I will bless [G2127].
20: And [G2532] came to pass [G1096] word [G3056] of Boss '[G2962] second [time] [G1537][G1208] to [G4314] Haggai the [G3588] prophet [G4396], fourth and [G2532] twentieth day of the [G3588] month [G3376], saying [G3004],
21: Speak [G2036] to [G4314] Zerubbabel the [G3588] [son of the [G3588] Shealtiel, of [G1537] tribe [G5443] of Judah, saying [G3004], I [G1473] will shake [G4579] the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772], and [G2532] the [G3588] land '[G1093], and [G2532] the [G3588] sea [G2281], and [G2532] the [G3588] dry [land [G3584].
22: And [G2532] I will eradicate [G2690] thrones [G2362] of kings , and [G2532] I will annihilate [G3645] power [G1411] of kings of the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484]. And [G2532] I will eradicate [G2690] chariots and [G2532] riders . And [G2532] there will come down [G2597] horses [G2462] and [G2532] their riders [G1473], each [G1538] with [G1722] a broadsword [G4501] against [G4314] the [G3588] brother of him [G1473].
23: In [G1722] the [G3588] that day [G2250][G1565], says [G3004] Boss '[G2962] almighty [G3841], I will take [G2983] you [G1473] Zerubbabel the [G3588] [son of the [G3588] Shealtiel the [G3588] my servant [G1401][G1473], says [G3004] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] I will set [G5087] you [G1473] as [G5613] a seal [G4973]. For [G1360] I have selected you [G1473], says [G3004] Boss '[G2962] almighty [G3841].
