1: heard And [G1161] Jacob] the [G3588] utterances [G4487] of the [G3588] sons [G5207] of Laban, saying [G3004], Jacob has taken [G2983] all [G3956] the [things] [G3588] of the [G3588] father [G3962] of us [G1473]. And [G2532] by [G1537] the [things] [G3588] of the [G3588] father [G3962] of us [G1473] he has produced [G4160] all [G3956] the [G3588] this glory [G1391][G3778].
2: And [G2532] Jacob saw [G1492] the [G3588] face [G4383] of the [G3588] Laban; and [G2532] look [G2400], he was not [G3756] for [G4314] him [G1473] as [G5616] yesterday [G5504] and [G2532] third [G5154] day [before [G2250].
3: said [G2036] And [G1161] Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] Jacob, Return to [G1519] the [G3588] land '[G1093] of the [G3588] father [G3962] of you [G1473], and [G2532] to [G1519] the [G3588] your family [G1074][G1473]! and [G2532] I will be with [G3326] you [G1473].
4: sending And [G1161] Jacob], called [G2564] Leah and [G2532] Rachel to [G1519] the [G3588] plain where [G3739] were the [G3588] flocks [G4168].
5: And [G2532] he said [G2036] to them [G1473], I see [G3708][G1473] the [G3588] face [G4383] of the [G3588] father [G3962] of you [G1473], that [G3754] it not [G3756] is towards [G4314] me [G1473] as [G5613] yesterday [G5504] and [G2532] third [G5154] day [before [G2250]. the [G3588] [one] , but [G1161], Divine [G2316] of the [G3588] father [G3962] of me [G1473] was with [G3326] me [G1473].
6: also [G2532] you yourselves [G1473] But [G1161] know [G1492] that [G3754] with [G1722] all [G3956] the [G3588] my strength [G2479][G1473] I have served [G1398] [to the [G3588] father [G3962] of you [G1473].
7: the [G3588] But [G1161] father [G3962] of you [G1473] cheated me [G1473], and [G2532] bartered the [G3588] my wage [G3408][G1473] for the [G3588] ten [G1176] lambs . And [G2532] did not [G3756] give [G1325] to him [G1473] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of the [G3588] father [G3962] of me [G1473] [the power] to do evil [G2554] [against] me [G1473].
8: If [G1437] thus [G3779] he should have said [G2036], the [G3588] colored [G4164] will be your [G1473] wage [G3408], then [G2532] would bear [G5088] all [G3956] the [G3588] flocks [G4263] colored [G4164]. And if [G1437][G1161] he should have said [G2036], the [G3588] white [G3022] will be your [G1473] wage [G3408], then [G2532] would bear [G5088] all [G3956] the [G3588] flocks [G4263] white [G3022].
9: And [G2532] God removed the [G3588][G2316] all [G3956] the [G3588] herds [G2934] of the [G3588] father [G3962] of you [G1473], and [G2532] he gave [G1325] them to me [G1473][G1473].
10: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] when [G2259] were stimulated the [G3588] flocks [G4263], in [G1722] womb [G1064] conceiving [G2983], that [G2532] I saw [G1492] with the [G3588] my eyes [G3788][G1473] them [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] sleep [G5258]. And [G2532] look [G2400], the [G3588] he-goats [G5131] and [G2532] the [G3588] rams went up upon [G1909] the [G3588] flocks [G4263], and [G2532] the [G3588] she-goats white-mixed and [G2532] colored [G4164] and [G2532] ashen speckled .
11: And [G2532] said [G2036] to me [G1473] the [G3588] word-conveyer (messenger) ' of the [G3588] God '[G2316] during [G2596] sleep [G5258], Jacob. And I [G1473][G1161] said [G2036], What [G5100] is it ?
12: And [G2532] he said [G2036], Look up [with] the [G3588] eyes [G3788] of you [G1473], and [G2532] see [G1492] the [G3588] he-goats [G5131] and [G2532] the [G3588] rams going up upon [G1909] the [G3588] flocks [G4263], and [G2532] the [G3588] she-goats -- white-mixed and [G2532] colored [G4164] and [G2532] ashen speckled ! For I have seen [G3708][G1063] as much as [G3745] to you [G1473] Laban does [G4160].
13: I [G1473] am the [G3588] God '[G2316], the [G3588] [one] appearing [G3708] to you [G1473] in [G1722] place [G5117] of God '[G2316], of which [G3739] you anointed to me [G1473] there [G1563] a monument , and [G2532] vowed [G2172] to me [G1473] there [G1563] a vow [G2171]. Now [G3568] then [G3767], rise up and [G2532] go forth [G1831] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] this land '[G1093][G3778]! And [G2532] go forth into [G1519] the [G3588] land '[G1093] of the [G3588] your birth [G1078][G1473]!
14: And [G2532] answering Rachel and [G2532] Leah said [G2036] to him [G1473], Is there not [G3361] to us [G1473] still [G2089] a portion [G3310] or [G2228] inheritance [G2817] in [G1722] the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] father [G3962] of us [G1473]?
15: [Are we] not [G3756] as [G5613] the [G3588] aliens considered [G3049] to him [G1473]? For he has sold [G4097][G1063] us [G1473], and [G2532] by eating up [G2719] a thing devoured the [G3588] our silver [G1473].
16: All [G3956] the [G3588] riches [G4149] and [G2532] the [G3588] glory [G1391] which [G3739] removed the [G3588] God '[G2316] of the [G3588] father [G3962] of us [G1473] will be ours [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] our children's [G5043][G1473]. Now [G3568] then [G3767] as much as [G3745] has said to you [G1473][G2046] the [G3588] God '[G2316], you do [G4160]!
17: rising up And [G1161] Jacob], took [G2983] the [G3588] his wives [G1135][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] his children [G3813][G1473] upon [G1909] the [G3588] camels [G2574].
18: And [G2532] he took away all [G3956] the [G3588] possessions [G5224] of him [G1473], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] his belongings [G1473], which [G3739] he procured [G4046] in [G1722] the [G3588] Mesopotamia, and [G2532] all [G3956] his [things] the [G3588][G1473] to go forth to [G4314] Isaac the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473], in [G1519] land '[G1093] of Canaan.
19: And Laban [G1161] set out to shear [G2751] the [G3588] his flocks [G4263][G1473], stole [G2813] and [G1161] Rachel] the [G3588] idols [G1497] of the [G3588] her father [G3962][G1473].
20: hid [the fact from [G2928] And [G1161] Jacob] Laban the [G3588] Syrian, the [G3588] [so as] not [G3361] to announce to him [G1473] that [G3754] he [is] running away .
21: And [G2532] he ran away , himself [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] all of of him '[G1473][G3956]. And [G2532] he passed over [G1224] the [G3588] river [G4215], and [G2532] he advanced [G3729] unto [G1519] the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] of Gilead.
22: And it was announced [G1161] to Laban the [G3588] Syrian on the [G3588] day [G2250] the [G3588] third [G5154] that [G3754] Jacob ran away .
23: And [G2532] taking [G3880] all [G3956] the [G3588] [ones] of brothers of him [G1473] with [G3326] himself [G1438], he pursued [G1377] after [G3694] him [G1473] journey [G3598] days [G2250] seven [G2033]. And [G2532] he overtook [G2638] him [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] of Gilead.
24: came [G2064] And [G1161] the [G3588] God '[G2316] to [G4314] Laban the [G3588] Syrian during [G2596] sleep [G5258] in the [G3588] night [G3571], and [G2532] he said [G2036] to him [G1473], Guard [G5442]! lest at any time [G3379] you should speak [G2980] against [G4314] Jacob evil [G4190].
25: And [G2532] Laban overtook [G2638] the [G3588] Jacob. And Jacob [G1161] pitched [G4078] the [G3588] his tent [G4633][G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735]. And Laban [G1161] stationed [G2476] the [G3588] brothers of him [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735] of Gilead.
26: said [G2036] And [G1161] Laban the [G3588] to Jacob, What [G5100] did you do [G4160]? Why [G2444] did you secretly [G2931] run away , and [G2532] ransacked me [G1473], and [G2532] took away the [G3588] my daughters [G2364][G1473] as [G5613] captives [taken by] sword [G3162]?
27: For [G2532] if [G1487] you announced to me [G1473], I would have sent out [G1821] even you [G1473] with [G3326] gladness [G2167], and [G2532] with [G3326] music [G3451], and [G2532] tambourines , and [G2532] harps [G2788].
28: And [G2532] not [G3756] am I worthy to kiss [G2705] the [G3588] my children [G3813][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] my daughters [G2364][G1473]. Now [G3568] then [G1161] unwisely you acted [G4238].
29: And [G2532] now [G3568] is strong [G2480] the [G3588] my hand [G5495][G1473] to do evil [G2554] [against] you [G1473]. the [G3588] [one] , but [G1161], Divine [G2316] of the [G3588] father [G3962] of you [G1473] yesterday [G5504] said [G2036] to [G4314] me [G1473], saying [G3004], Guard [G5442] yourself [G4572]! lest at any time [G3379] you should speak [G2980] against [G3326] Jacob evil [G4190].
30: Now [G3568] then [G3767], you go [G4198]! For with desire [G1939][G1063] you desired [G1937] to go forth unto [G1519] the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] father [G3962] of you [G1473]; why did [G2444] you steal [G2813] the [G3588] my gods '[G2316][G1473]?
31: And answering [G1161] Jacob said [G2036] the [G3588] to Laban, For I said [G2036][G1063], Lest at any time [G3379] you should remove the [G3588] your daughters [G2364][G1473] from me [G1473], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] my [things] [G1699].
32: And [G2532] Jacob said [G2036], By [G3844] whomsoever [G3739] you should find [G2147] the [G3588] your gods '[G2316][G1473], he will not live [G3756][G2198] before [G1726] the [G3588] our brothers [G1473]. Recognize [G1921] what [G5100] is from [G3844] me [G1473] of the [things] [G3588] of yours [G4674], and [G2532] take [them [G2983]! And [G2532] he did not [G3756] recognize [G1921] among [G3844] [what was] of him '[G1473] -- not one [thing] [G3762]. did not [G3756] know [G1492] But [G1161] Jacob] that [G3754] Rachel the [G3588] his wife [G1135][G1473] stole [G2813] them [G1473].
33: And entering [G1525][G1161], Laban searched [G2045] in [G1519] the [G3588] house [G3624] of Leah, and [G2532] he did not [G3756] find [G2147]. And [G2532] he came forth [G1831] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] house [G3624] of Leah, and [G2532] he searched [G2045] the [G3588] house [G3624] of Jacob, and [G2532] in [G1722] the [G3588] house [G3624] of the [G3588] two [G1417] maidservants [G3814], and [G2532] he did not [G3756] find [G2147]. And he entered [G1525][G1161] also [G2532] into [G1519] the [G3588] house [G3624] of Rachel.
34: And Rachel [G1161] took [G2983] the [G3588] idols [G1497], and [G2532] put [G1685] them [G1473] in [G1519] the [G3588] packsaddles of the [G3588] camel [G2574], and [G2532] sat [G1940] on them [G1473].
35: And [G2532] she said [G2036] the [G3588] to her father [G3962][G1473], Do not [G3361] heavily bear [G5342], O boss [G2962], I will not be able [G3756][G1410] to rise up before [G1799] you [G1473], for [G3754] the [G3588][G2596] custom of the [G3588] women [G1135] is to me [G1473]. searched [G2045] And [G1161] Laban] in [G1722] entire [G3650] the [G3588] house [G3624], and [G2532] he did not [G3756] find [G2147] the [G3588] idols [G1497].
36: was provoked to anger [G3710] And [G1161] Jacob], and [G2532] he quarreled [G3164] [with] the [G3588] Laban. And responding [G1161] Jacob said [G2036] the [G3588] to Laban, What is [G5100] the [G3588] my offence [G1473]? and [G2532] what is [G5100] the [G3588] my sin [G1473], that [G3754] you pursued [G2614] after [G3694] me [G1473]?
37: and [G2532] that [G3754] you searched [G2045] all [G3956] the [G3588] items [G4632] of the [G3588] my house [G3624][G1473]? What did [G5100] you find [G2147] from all [G3956] the [G3588] items [G4632] of the [G3588] your house [G3624][G1473]? Put [G5087] here [G5602] before [G1799] the [G3588] your brothers [G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] my brothers [G1473], and [G2532] let them reprove [G1651] between the [G3588] two [G1417] of us [G1473]!
38: These [G3778][G1473] twenty [G1501] years [G2094] I [G1473] am with [G3326] you [G1473]; the [G3588] your flocks [G4263][G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] your goats [G1473] were not [G3756] barren , [and] rams of the [G3588] your flocks [G4263][G1473] I did not [G3756] eat [G2719].
39: [That] taken by wild beasts I have not [G3756] brought [G5342] to you [G1473]. I [G1473] paid for [them by [G3844] myself [G1683], [even] thefts [G2809] by day [G2250], and [G2532] thefts [G2809] by night [G3571].
40: I was [G1096] the [G3588] by day [G2250] burning with the [G3588] sweltering heat [G2738], and [G2532] with the [G3588] icy coldness of the [G3588] night [G3571]. And [G2532] departed the [G3588] sleep [G5258] my [G1473] from the [G3588] my eyes [G3788][G1473].
41: These [G3778][G1473] twenty [G1501] years [G2094] I [G1473] am in [G1722] the [G3588] your residence [G3614][G1473]. I served [G1398] you [G1473] fourteen [G1180] years [G2094] for the [G3588] two [G1417] daughters [G2364] your [G1473], and [G2532] six [G1803] years [G2094] among [G1722] the [G3588] your sheep [G4263][G1473], and [G2532] you cheated [G3884] the [G3588] my wage [G3408][G1473] [by] ten [G1176] ewe-lambs .
42: Unless [G1508] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of the [G3588] father [G3962] of me [G1473] Abraham, and [G2532] the [G3588] fear [G5401] of Isaac was with me [G1473], now [G3568] then would me empty [G2756][G1473] you have sent [G1821]. the [G3588] My humiliation [G5014][G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] toil [G2873] of the [G3588] my hands [G5495][G1473] God saw [G1492] the [G3588][G2316], and [G2532] he reproved [G1651] you [G1473] yesterday [G5504].
43: And responding [G1161] Laban said [G2036] to the [G3588] Jacob, the [G3588] daughters [G2364] [are] my daughters [G2364][G1473], and [G2532] sons [G5207] my sons [G5207][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] cattle [G2934] my cattle [G2934][G1473]; and [G2532] all [G3956] as much as [G3745] you [G1473] see [G3708] is mine [G1699], and [G2532] the [property the [G3588] of my daughters [G2364][G1473]. What [G5100] will I do [G4160] with these [women [G3778] today [G4594] or [G2228] the [G3588] children [G5043] of them [G1473] whom [G3739] they bore [G5088]?
44: Now [G3568] then [G3767], come here [G1204], we should ordain [G1303] a covenant [G1242], I [G1473] and [G2532] you [G1473], and [G2532] it will be a [G1519] testimony [G3142] between me [G1473] and [G2532] you [G1473].
45: taking [G2983] And [G1161] Jacob] a stone [G3037], established [G2476] it [G1473] [as a] monument ;
46: said [G2036] And [G1161] Jacob] to the [G3588] brothers of him [G1473], Collect together [G4816] stones [G3037]! And [G2532] they collected together [G4816] stones [G3037]. And [G2532] they made [G4160] a hill [G1015]. And [G2532] they ate [G2068] there [G1563] upon [G1909] the [G3588] hill [G1015].
47: And [G2532] called [G2564] it [G1473] Laban], Hill [G1015] of the [G3588] Witness [G3140], but the [G3588][G1161] Jacob called [G2564] it [G1473], Hill [G1015] [is] Witness [G3144].
48: said [G2036] And [G1161] Laban], the [G3588] this hill [G1015][G3778] witnesses [G3140] between me [G1473] and [G2532] you [G1473] today [G4594]. Because of [G1223] this [G3778] was called [G2564] the [G3588] name [G3686] of the [G3588] place [G5117], Hill [G1015] Witnesses [G3140].
49: And [G2532] the [G3588] vision [G3706], which [G3739] he said [G2036], Let God look [G1896] the [G3588][G2316] between me [G1473] and [G2532] you [G1473], [is] that [G3754] we will leave other [G2087] from the [G3588] other [G2087].
50: If [G1487] you will humble [G5013] the [G3588] my daughters [G2364][G1473], if [G1487] you should take [G2983] wives [G1135] over [G1909] the [G3588] my daughters [G2364][G1473], you see [G3708] no one [G3762] with [G3326] us [G1473] is seeing [G3708] the [G3588] God '[G2316] [is] witness [G3144] between [G3342] me [G1473] and [G2532] between [G3342] you [G1473].
51: And [G2532] Laban said [G2036] the [G3588] to Jacob, look [G2400], the [G3588] this hill [G1015][G3778], and [G2532] the [G3588] monument which [G3739] I stood [G2476] between me [G1473] and [G2532] you [G1473];
52: witnesses [G3140] the [G3588] this hill [G1015][G3778], and [G2532] the [G3588] monument which [G3739] I stood [G2476] -- it [G1473] witnesses [G3140]. For if [G1437][G5037][G1063] I pass over [G1224], I [G1473] to [G4314] you [G1473], neither [G3366] will you [G1473] pass over [G1224] to [G4314] me [G1473] the [G3588] [beyond] this hill [G1015][G3778] and [G2532] the [G3588] this monument [G3778], for [G1909] evil [G2549].
53: The [G3588] God '[G2316] of Abraham and [G2532] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of Nahor judges [G2919] between us [G1473].
54: And [G2532] Jacob swore by an oath [G3660] according to [G2596] the [G3588] fear [G5401] of the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473] Isaac. And [G2532] he sacrificed [G2380] a sacrifice [G2378] in [G1722] the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735], and [G2532] he called [G2564] the [G3588] brothers of him [G1473]; and [G2532] they ate [G2068] and [G2532] drank [G4095], and [G2532] they went to sleep [G2837] in [G1722] the [G3588] raised-place (mountain) '[G3735].
55: rising up And [G1161] Laban] in the morning [G4404], kissed [G2705] the [G3588] sons [G5207] and [G2532] the [G3588] daughters [G2364] of of him '[G1473], and [G2532] he blessed [G2127] them [G1473]. And [G2532] Laban turned [and] went forth to [G1519] the [G3588] his place [G5117][G1473].
