Galatians Chapter 2 - | Early Church Bible

1: Then [G1899] after [G1223] fourteen [G1180] years [G2094] again [G3825] I went up to [G1519] Jerusalem with [G3326] Barnabas, taking along [G4838] also [G2532] Titus.
2: And I went up [G1161] according to [G2596] revelation , and [G2532] presented to them [G1473] the [G3588] good-word-conveyed (good message) '[G2098] which [G3739] I proclaim [G2784] among [G1722] the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484], and in private [G2596][G2398][G1161] to the [G3588] [ones] assuming [leadership [G1380], lest perhaps [G3381] in [G1519] vain [G2756] I run [G5143], or [G2228] ran [G5143].
3: But not even [G3761] Titus, the [G3588] [one] with [G4862] me [G1473], being a Greek , was compelled to be circumcised [G4059].
4: And on account [G1223][G1161] of the [G3588] intrusions [G3920] of lying brothers [G5569], ones who [G3748] entered privately [G3922] to spy out [G2684] the [G3588] our freedom [G1657][G1473], which [G3739] we have [G2192] in [G1722] Anointed [G5547] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]), that [G2443] they will reduce us to slavery [G1473][G2615];
5: to whom [G3739] not even [G3761] for [G4314] an hour [G5610] we yielded way [G1502] in the [G3588] submission [G5292], that [G2443] the [G3588] truth of the [G3588] good-word-conveyed (good message) '[G2098] should abide [G1265] with [G4314] you [G1473].
6: But from [G1161] the [G3588] [ones] seeming [G1380] to be something [G5100], as to like [G3697] whatever [G4218] they were , nothing [G3762] to me [G1473] differs [G1308]; person [G4383] God '[G2316] of a man does not [G3756] take [G2983]; to me [G1473] for [G1063] the [G3588] [ones] seeming [important [G1380] nothing [G3762] conferred [G4323];
7: but on the other hand [G5121], having seen [G1492] that [G3754] I have been trusted '[G4100] with the [G3588] good-word-conveyed (good message) '[G2098] of the [G3588] uncircumcised , as [G2531] Peter of the [G3588] circumcision [G4061],
8: (for the [G3588] [one] [G1063] operating [G1754] in Peter for [G1519] commission of the [G3588] circumcision [G4061], operated [G1754] also [G2532] to me [G1473] among [G1519] the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484]),
9: and [G2532] knowing [G1097] the [G3588] favor [G5484] the [G3588] being given [G1325] to me [G1473], James and [G2532] Cephas and [G2532] John, the [G3588] [ones] assuming [G1380] to be columns [of strength [G4769], [their] right [hands [G1188] gave [G1325] to me [G1473] and [G2532] Barnabas] of fellowship [G2842], that [G2443] we [G1473] [should go] unto [G1519] the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484], but they [G1473][G1161] to [G1519] the [G3588] circumcision [G4061].
10: Only [G3440] the [G3588] [ones] begging [G4434] that [G2443] we should remember [G3421], which [G3739] even [G2532] I was hurried [G4704] this same [thing] [G1473][G3778] to do [G4160].
11: But when [G3753][G1161] Peter came [G2064] to [G1519] Antioch in person [G2596][G4383], I opposed him [G1473], for [G3754] he was for being condemned [G2607].
12: before [G4253] for the [G3588] [G1063] coming [G2064] of some [G5100] from James, with [G3326] the [G3588] Gentiles [G1484] he was eating [G4906]; but when [G3753][G1161] they came [G2064], he kept back [G5288] and [G2532] separated himself [G1438], fearing [G5399] the [G3588] [ones] of [G1537] circumcision [G4061].
13: And [G2532] stage-acted with [G4942] him [G1473] also [G2532] the [G3588] rest [G3062] of Jews], so that [G5620] even [G2532] Barnabas was led away by [G4879] them [G1473] in the [G3588] stage-acting [G5272].
14: But when [G3753] I saw [G1492] that [G3754] he did not [G3756] walk uprightly [G3716] to [G4314] the [G3588] truth of the [G3588] good-word-conveyed (good message) '[G2098], I said [G2036] the [G3588] to Peter in front of [G1715] all [G3956], If [G1487] you [G1473], Jewish-like [G2450] being [G5224], like the tradition-peoples [G1483] live [G2198] and [G2532] not [G3756] like a Jew, why [G5100] the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484] do you compel to Judaize?
15: We [G1473] are by nature [G5449] Jews, and [G2532] not [G3756] of [G1537] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484] sinners ;
16: and knowing [G1492][G1161] that [G3754] is not [G3756] justified [G1344] man from [G1537] works [G2041] of law [G3551], but [G1437][G3361] through [G1223] trust '[G4102] of Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) Anointed [G5547], and [G2532] we [G1473] in [G1519] Anointed "'[G5547] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) trusted '[G4100], that [G2443] we should be justified [G1344] of [G1537] trust '[G4102] of Anointed "'[G5547], and [G2532] not [G3756] by [G1537] works [G2041] of law [G3551]; for [G1360] not [G3756] will be justified [G1344] by [G1537] works [G2041] of law [G3551] any [G3956] flesh [G4561].
17: And if [G1487][G1161] seeking [G2212] to be justified [G1344] in [G1722] Anointed "'[G5547], we have been found [G2147] also [G2532] ourselves [G1473] sinners , [is] then Anointed "'[G5547] of sin a servant [G1249]? May it not be [G3361][G1096].
18: For if [G1487][G1063] what [G3739] I deposed [G2647], these [things] [G3778] again [G3825] I build [back up [G3618], a violator [G3848] myself [G1683] I stand [G4921].
19: For I [G1473][G1063] through [G1223] law [G3551] to law [G3551] died , that [G2443] to God '[G2316] I should live [G2198].
20: Anointed "'[G5547] I have been crucified with [G4957], but I live [G2198][G1161], no longer [G3765] I [G1473], lives [G2198] but [G1161] in [G1722] me [G1473] Anointed One [G5547]; but that which [G3739][G1161] now [G3568] I live [G2198] in [G1722] flesh [G4561], in [G1722] trust '[G4102] I live [G2198] -- in the [G3588] [one] of the [G3588] son [G5207] of the [G3588] God '[G2316], of the [G3588] [one] loving me [G1473], and [G2532] delivering himself up [G3860][G1438] for [G5228] me [G1473].
21: I do not [G3756] annul the [G3588] favor [G5484] of the [G3588] God '[G2316]. For if [G1487][G1063] [is] through [G1223] law [G3551] righteousness [G1343], then Anointed "'[G5547] for nothing [G1431] died .
