Exodus Chapter 23 - | Early Church Bible

1: You will not [G3756] welcome [G3858] report a vain [G3152]. You will not [G3756] assent together [G4784] with [G3326] the [G3588] unjust to become [G1096] witness [G3144] an unjust .
2: You will not [G3756] be with [G3326] many [people [G4183] for [G1909] evil [G2549]. You will not [G3756] be added [G4369] with [G3326] a multitude [G4128] to turn aside [G1578] a judgment [G2920].
3: And [G2532] [because one is] needy [G3993] you will not [G3756] show compassion [G1653] in [G1722] a judgment [G2920].
4: And if [G1437][G1161] you should meet up with [G4876] the [G3588] ox [G1016] of the [G3588] your enemy [G2190][G1473], or [G2228] with the [G3588] his beast of burden [G5268][G1473] wandering [G4105], by returning , you will give it back to him [G1473].
5: And if [G1437][G1161] you should see [G1492] the [G3588] beast of burden [G5268] of the [G3588] your enemy [G2190][G1473] falling [G4098] under [G5259] the [G3588] [its] [load of] merchandise [G1117][G1473], you will not [G3756] go by [G3928] it [G1473], but you will raise [G4891] it [G1473] with [G3326] him [G1473].
6: You will not [G3756] turn aside [G1294] a judgment [G2917] of needy [G3993] in [G1722] his judgment [G2920][G1473].
7: From all [G3956] things [G4487] unjust you will abstain . innocent and [G2532] just [G1342] you will not [G3756] kill . And [G2532] you will not [G3756] give justice to [G1344] the [G3588] impious because of [G1752] bribes [G1435].
8: And [G2532] bribes [G1435] you will not receive [G3756][G2983]; for the [G3588][G1063] bribes [G1435] blind eyes [G3788] for seeing and [G2532] lay waste [G3075] matters [G4487] just [G1342].
9: And [G2532] a foreigner [G4339] you will not [G3756] maltreat [G2559], nor in any way [G3761][G3361] afflict [G2346]. For you [G1473][G1063] know [G1492] the [G3588] soul [G5590] of for the [G3588]eigner [G4339], for you yourselves [G1473][G1063] were foreigners [G4339] in [G1722] land '[G1093] of Egypt.
10: Six [G1803] years [G2094] you will sow [G4687] the [G3588] your land '[G1093][G1473], and [G2532] you will gather [G4863] the [G3588] [its] produce [G1081][G1473],
11: but on the [G3588][G1161] seventh [G1442] a release [from work you will make [G4160], and [G2532] spare it [G1473], and [G2532] will eat [G2068] the [G3588] [ones] begging [G4434] of the [G3588] your tradition-people (ethnic) '[G1484][G1473]; and the [things] [G3588][G1161] being left behind [G5275] of them [G1473] will eat [G2068] the [G3588] wild beasts [G2342] of the [G3588] field . Thus [G3779] you will do [G4160] the [G3588] with your vineyard [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] your olive grove [G1638][G1473].
12: Six [G1803] days [G2250] you will do [G4160] the [G3588] works [G2041] of you [G1473], but on the [G3588][G1161] day [G2250] the [G3588] seventh [G1442] you will rest , that [G2443] may rest the [G3588] ox [G1016] your [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] beast of burden [G5268] of you [G1473], and [G2532] that [G2443] may be refreshed the [G3588] son [G5207] of the [G3588] maidservant [G3814] of you [G1473], and [G2532] for the [G3588]eigner [G4339].
13: All [G3956], as much as [G3745] I have spoken [G2046] to [G4314] you [G1473], guard [G5442]! And [G2532] name [G3686] gods '[G2316] of other [G2087] you will not [G3756] call to mind , nor should [one] be heard from out of [G1537] the [G3588] your mouth [G4750][G1473].
14: Three [G5140] times [G2540] of the [G3588] year [G1763] solemnize a holiday [G1858] to me [G1473]!
15: The [G3588] holiday [G1859] of the [G3588] unleavened [breads keep [G5442] to do [G4160]! Seven [G2033] days [G2250] you will eat [G2068] unleavened [breads , just as [G2509] I gave charge [G1781] to you [G1473], according to [G2596] the [G3588] time [G2540] of the [G3588] month [G3376] of the [G3588] new [produce [G3501]; for in [G1722][G1063] it [G1473] you came forth [G1831] from out of [G1537] Egypt. You will not [G3756] appear [G3708] before [G1799] me [G1473] empty [G2756].
16: And [G2532] a holiday [G1859] of the [G3588] harvest [G2326] of the first produce you will observe [G4160] of the [G3588] works [G2041] of you [G1473], what [G3739] ever [G1437] you sow [G4687] in [G1722] the [G3588] your field [G1473]; and [G2532] a holiday [G1859] of completion [G4930] at [G1909] conclusion [G1841] of the [G3588] year [G1763] in [G1722] the [G3588] gathering [G4864] of the [G3588] works [G2041] of you [G1473], of the [G3588] [ones] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] your field [G1473].
17: Three [G5140] times [G2540] the [G3588] a year [G1763] will appear [G3708] every [G3956] male of yours [G1473] before [G1799] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473].
18: For whenever [G3752][G1063] I should cast out [G1544] the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484] from face [G4383] of you [G1473], and [G2532] widen the [G3588] your boundaries [G3725][G1473], you will not [G3756] sacrifice [G2380] with [G1909] yeast [G2219] blood of my sacrifice [G1473], neither will remain through the night [G2837] fat of the [G3588] my holiday [feast [G1859][G1473] until [G2193] morning [G4404].
19: The [G3588] first-fruits of the [G3588] first produce of the [G3588] your land '[G1093][G1473] you will carry [G1533] into [G1519] the [G3588] house [G3624] of Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473]. You will not [G3756] boil a lamb in [G1722] milk [G1051] her mother's [G3384][G1473].
20: And [G2532] look [G2400], I [G1473] send the [G3588] my word-conveyer (messenger) '[G1473] before [G4253] face [G4383] of you [G1473], that [G2443] he may guard [G5442] you [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] way [G3598], that [G3704] he may bring [G1521] you [G1473] into [G1519] the [G3588] land '[G1093] which [G3739] I prepared [G2090] for you [G1473].
21: Take heed [G4337] to yourself [G4572], and [G2532] hearken to [G1522] him [G1473], and [G2532] do not [G3361] resist his persuasion [G1473], [G3756] for [G1063] he should not [G3361] avoid [G5288] you [G1473], for the [G3588] [G1063] name [G3686] of me [G1473] is upon [G1909] him [G1473]!
22: If [G1437] in hearing you will hearken the [G3588] to my [G1699] voice [G5456], and [G2532] do [G4160] all [G3956] as much [G3745] as I give charge [G1781] to you [G1473], I will be an enemy [to the [G3588] your enemies [G2190][G1473], and [G2532] I will be an adversary to the [G3588] [ones] being an adversary of you [G1473].
23: will go [G4198] For [G1063] the [G3588] my word-conveyer (messenger) '[G1473] leading [G2233] you [G1473]; and [G2532] he will bring [G1521] you [G1473] to [G4314] the [G3588] Amorite, and [G2532] Hittite, and [G2532] Perizzite, and [G2532] Canaanite, and [G2532] Gergesite, and [G2532] Hivite, and [G2532] Jebusite; and [G2532] I will obliterate them [G1473].
24: You will not [G3756] do obeisance to [G4352] the [G3588]ir gods '[G2316][G1473], nor will you serve [G3000] to them [G1473]. You will not [G3756] do [G4160] according to [G2596] the [G3588]ir works [G2041][G1473]; but by demolition [G2506] you will demolish [G2507] them [G1473], and [G2532] by breaking [G4937] you will break [G4937] the [G3588]ir monuments [G1473].
25: And [G2532] you will serve [G3000] to Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of you [G1473]; and [G2532] I will bless [G2127] the [G3588] your bread [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] your wine [G3631][G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] your water [G5204][G1473]; and [G2532] I will turn infirmity [G3119] from you [G1473].
26: It will not [G3756] be barren nor [G3761] sterile [G4723] upon [G1909] the [G3588] your land '[G1093][G1473]; the [G3588] number of the [G3588] your days [G2250][G1473] I will fill up .
27: And [G2532] the [G3588] fear [G5401] of me [G1473] I will send leading [before [G2233] you [G1473]; and [G2532] I will startle [G1839] all [G3956] the [G3588] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484] into [G1519] which [G3739] you [G1473] enter [G1531] into [G1519] them [G1473]; and [G2532] I will give [over] [G1325] all [G3956] the [G3588] your opponents [G5227][G1473] unto exiles .
28: And [G2532] I will send the [G3588] swarms of wasps in front [G4387] of you [G1473]. And [G2532] I will cast out [G1544] the [G3588] Amorites, and [G2532] the [G3588] Hivites, and [G2532] the [G3588] Canaanites, and [G2532] the [G3588] Hittites from you [G1473].
29: I will not [G3756] cast [G1544] them [G1473] from face [G4383] of you [G1473] in [G1722] year [G1763] one [G1520], that [G2443] should not become [G3361][G1096] the [G3588] land '[G1093] wilderness [G2048], and [G2532] many [G4183] should happen [G1096] upon [G1909] you [G1473] the [G3588] wild beasts [G2342] in the [G3588] land '[G1093].
30: According to [G2596] little [G3397] [by] little [G3397] I will cast [G1544] them [G1473] from you [G1473], until [G2193] whenever you should grow and [G2532] be heir to [G2816] the [G3588] land '[G1093].
31: And [G2532] I will establish [G5087] the [G3588] your boundaries [G3725][G1473] from the [G3588] red [G2063] sea [G2281] unto [G2193] the [G3588] sea [G2281] of the [G3588] Philistines; and [G2532] from the [G3588] wilderness [G2048] unto [G2193] the [G3588] river [G4215] of the [G3588] great [G3173] Euphrates. And [G2532] I will deliver up [G3860] into [G1519] the [G3588] your hands [G5495][G1473] the [G3588] [ones] lying in wait in [G1722] the [G3588] land '[G1093]; and [G2532] I will cast [G1544] them [G1473] from you [G1473].
32: You will not [G3756] assent together with [G4784] them [G1473], and [G2532] [with] the [G3588]ir gods '[G2316][G1473][G3756] you will not establish [G5087] a covenant [G1242].
33: And [G2532] they will not [G3756] lie in wait in [G1722] the [G3588] your land '[G1093][G1473], lest [G2443][G3361] you to sin [G1473] they should cause [G4160] against [G4314] me [G1473]; for if [G1437][G1063] you should be a slave [G1398] [to the [G3588]ir gods '[G2316][G1473], these [G3778] will be to you [G1473] an occasion for stumbling [G4348].
