Ephesians Chapter 5 - | Early Church Bible

1: Become [G1096] then [G3767] mimics [G3402] of the [G3588] God '[G2316], as [G5613] children [G5043] beloved !
2: And [G2532] walk [G4043] in [G1722] love ! as [G2531] also [G2532] the [G3588] [one] Anointed '[G5547] loved us [G1473], and [G2532] delivered [G3860] himself up [G1438] for [G5228] us [G1473] an offering [G4376] and [G2532] sacrifice [G2378] the [G3588] to God '[G2316] for [G1519] a scent [G3744] of pleasant aroma [G2175].
3: And harlotry [G4202][G1161] and [G2532] all [G3956] uncleanness or [G2228] desire for wealth [G4124] let not [G3366] be named [G3687] among [G1722] you [G1473]! as [G2531] it is becoming [G4241] to pure ' ones;
4: and [G2532] indecency and [G2532] moronish talking [G3473], or [G2228] obscene jokes [G2160] the [G3588] not [G3756] relating -- but rather [G3123] thankfulness [G2169].
5: For this [G3778][G1063] you are knowing [G1097], that [G3754] every [G3956] fornicator [G4205], or [G2228] unclean , or [G2228] a hoarder of wealth [G4123], who [G3739] is an idolater [G1496], does not [G3756] have [G2192] an inheritance [G2817] in [G1722] the [G3588] government ' of the [G3588] [one] Anointed '[G5547] and [G2532] of God '[G2316].
6: not one [G3367] of you [G1473] Let] be deceived with empty [G2756] words [G3056]! on account of [G1223] these [things] [G3778] for [G1063] comes [G2064] the [G3588] wrath [G3709] of the [G3588] God '[G2316] upon [G1909] the [G3588] sons [G5207] of the [G3588] disobedience .
7: Do not [G3361] then [G3767] become [G1096] joint-partners [G4830] with them [G1473]!
8: For you were [G1063] at some time or other [G4218] darkness [G4655], but now [G3568][G1161] light [G5457] in [G1722] Boss '[G2962] -- as [G5613] children [G5043] of light [G5457] walk [G4043]!
9: (For the [G3588][G1063] fruit [G2590] of the [G3588] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] [is] in [G1722] all [G3956] goodness and [G2532] righteousness [G1343] and [G2532] truth) ,
10: distinguishing [G1381] what [G5100] is well-pleasing [G2101] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962].
11: And [G2532] do not [G3361] partake together with [G4790] the [G3588] works [G2041] the [G3588] unfruitful the [G3588] of darkness [G4655], but rather [G3123][G1161] also [G2532] reprove [G1651]!
12: For the [things] [G3588][G1063] secretly [G2931] taking place [G1096] by [G5259] them [G1473], it is shameful even [G2532] to speak [G3004].
13: But the [G3588][G1161] all [G3956] being reproved [G1651], by [G5259] the [G3588] light [G5457] are made manifest [G5319]; all [things] [G3956] for [G1063] the [thing] [G3588] manifesting [G5319] light [G5457] is .
14: Therefore [G1352] he says [G3004], Arise [G1453], O the [G3588] sleeping one [G2518], and [G2532] rise up from [G1537] the [G3588] dead [G3498]! and [G2532] will shine upon [G2017] you [G1473] the [G3588] [one] Anointed '[G5547].
15: Take heed then [G3767] how [G4459] exactly you walk [G4043]! not [G3361] as [G5613] unwise , but as [G5613] wise [G4680],
16: buying back [G1805] the [G3588] time [G2540], for [G3754] the [G3588] days [G2250] are wicked [G4190].
17: On account of [G1223] this [G3778] do not [G3361] become [G1096] fools , but be perceiving [G4920] what [G5100] the [G3588] will [G2307] of the [G3588] Lord [is[G2962]!
18: And [G2532] be not [G3361] intoxicated [G3182] with wine [G3631] in [G1722] which [G3739] is unsafeness (carelessness) '! but be filled [G4137] in [G1722] wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151]!
19: speaking [G2980] to yourselves [G1438] in psalms [G5568] and [G2532] hymns [G5215] and [G2532] odes [G5603] of wind/spirit/breathing '[G4152]; singing and [G2532] strumming [G5567] in [G1722] the [G3588] your heart [G2588][G1473] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962];
20: giving thanks [G2168] at all times [G3842] for [G5228] all [things] [G3956] in [G1722] name [G3686] of the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] of us [G1473] Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) Anointed [G5547], to the [G3588] God '[G2316] and [G2532] father [G3962];
21: being submitted [G5293] to one another in [G1722] a fear [G5401] of God '[G2316].
22: the the [G3588] wives [G1135] to their the [G3588] own [G2398] husbands Let submit [G5293], as [G5613] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962]!
23: For [G3754] the [G3588] husband is head [G2776] of the [G3588] wife [G1135], as [G5613] also [G2532] the [G3588] [one] Anointed '[G5547] [is] head [G2776] of the [G3588] assembly [G1577], and [G2532] he [G1473] is deliverer [G4990] of the [G3588] body [G4983].
24: But as [G5618] the [G3588] assembly [G1577] submits [G5293] to the [G3588] [one] Anointed '[G5547], so [G3779] also [G2532] the [G3588] wives [G1135] to their the [G3588] own [G2398] husbands in [G1722] all [things] [G3956].
25: the the [G3588] husbands Let] love the [G3588]ir own wives [G1135][G1438], as [G2531] also [G2532] the [G3588] [one] Anointed '[G5547] loved the [G3588] assembly [G1577], and [G2532] delivered himself up [G1438][G3860] for [G5228] it [G1473];
26: that [G2443] he should sanctify it [G1473], having cleansed it [G2511] by the [G3588] bath [G3067] of the [G3588] water [G5204] by [G1722] word [G4487];
27: that [G2443] he should present [G3936] it [G1473] to himself [G1438] honorable [G1741] the [G3588] assembly [G1577], not [G3361] having [G2192] stain [G4695], or [G2228] wrinkle [G4512], or [G2228] any [G5100] the [G3588] such [things] [G5108]; but that [G2443] it should be pure ' and [G2532] unblemished .
28: So [G3779] ought [G3784] the [G3588] husbands to love their own the [G3588][G1473] wives [G1135] as [G5613] their own the [G3588][G1438] bodies [G4983]. the [G3588] [one] loving his own the [G3588][G1473] wife [G1135], loves himself [G1438].
29: For no one [G3762][G1063] at some time or other [G4218] the [G3588] his own [G1438] flesh [G4561] detests [G3404], but nourishes [G1625] and [G2532] comforts [G2282] it [G1473], as [G2531] also [G2532] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] [for] the [G3588] assembly [G1577].
30: For [G3754] we are members [G3196] of the [G3588] his body [G4983][G1473], of [G1537] the [G3588] his flesh [G4561], and [G2532] of [G1537] the [G3588] his bones [G3747][G1473].
31: For of this [G3778] leaves behind [G2641] a man the [G3588] his father [G3962][G1473] and [G2532] the [G3588] mother [G3384], and [G2532] cleaves [G4347] to [G4314] the [G3588] his wife [G1135][G1473], and [G2532] will be the [G3588] two [G1417] for [G1519] flesh [G4561] one [G1520].
32: the [G3588] This mystery [G3466][G3778] is great [G3173]; and I [G1473][G1161] speak [G3004] as to [G1519] Anointed "'[G5547], and [G2532] as to [G1519] the [G3588] assembly [G1577].
33: Only [G4133] also [G2532] you [G1473], everyone the [G3588][G2596][G1520], each [G1538] the [G3588] his own [G1438] wife [G1135] so [G3779] let love as [G5613] himself [G1438], and the [G3588][G1161] wife [G1135], that [G2443] she should fear [G5399] the [G3588] husband !
