1: Men , brothers , and [G2532] fathers [G3962], hear of me [G1473] the [G3588] [G4314] you [G1473] now [G3568] defense !
2: And hearing [G1161] that [G3754] in the [G3588] Hebrew dialect [G1258] he called out to [G4377] them [G1473], more [G3123] they made [G3930] rest [G2271].
3: And [G2532] he says [G5346], I [G1473] indeed [G3303] am a man , a Jew, being born [G1080] in [G1722] Tarsus the [G3588] of Cilicia, but being reared [G1161] in [G1722] the [G3588] this city [G4172][G3778] by [G3844] the [G3588] feet [G4228] of Gamaliel, being instructed [G3811] according to [G2596] exactness of the [G3588] paternal [G3971] law [G3551], zealous [G2207] being [G5224] the [G3588] of God '[G2316], as [G2531] all [G3956] you [G1473] are today [G4594];
4: one who [G3739] this [G3778] the [G3588] way [G3598] pursued [G1377] unto death [G2288], binding [G1195] and [G2532] delivering up [G3860] unto [G1519] prisons [G5438] both men [G5037] and [G2532] women [G1135];
5: as [G5613] also [G2532] the [G3588] chief priest bears witness [G3140] to me [G1473], and [G2532] all [G3956] the [G3588] council of elders [G4244]; by [G3844] whom [G3739] also [G2532] letters [G1992] having received [G1209], to [G4314] the [G3588] brothers in [G1519] Damascus I went [G4198], for conveying ' also [G2532] the [G3588] [ones] at that place [G1566] being bound [G1210] unto [G1519] Jerusalem, that [G2443] they should be punished [G5097].
6: And it happened [G1096][G1161] to me [G1473] going [G4198] and [G2532] approaching [G1448] the [G3588] to Damascus around [G4012] midday [G3314], suddenly [G1810] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] raised-place-above (sky) '[G3772] flashed about [G4015] a light [G5457], a fit [amount [G2425] around [G4012] me [G1473].
7: And I fell [G4098][G5037] onto [G1519] the [G3588] ground [G1475], and [G2532] I heard a voice [G5456] saying [G3004] to me [G1473], Saul, Saul, why [G5100] do you pursue me [G1473][G1377]?
8: And I [G1473][G1161] answered , Who [G5100] are you , O Boss '[G2962]? And he said [G2036][G5037] to [G4314] me [G1473], I [G1473] am Jesus [G2424] ("I AM Salvation, successor to Moses" [H3091]) the [G3588] Nazarene, whom [G3739] you [G1473] pursue [G1377].
9: And the [G3588] [ones] [G1161] with [G4862] me [G1473] being the [G3588] indeed [G3303] a light [G5457] saw [G2300], and [G2532] thrown into fear [G1719] became [G1096]; the [G3588] but [G1161] voice [G5456] they did not [G3756] hear of the [G3588] [one] speaking [G2980] to me [G1473].
10: And I said [G2036][G1161], What [G5100] will I do [G4160], O Boss '[G2962]? the [G3588] And [G1161] Boss '[G2962] said [G2036] to [G4314] me [G1473], Having risen up , go [G4198] unto [G1519] Damascus! and there [G2546] it will be told to you [G1473][G2980] concerning [G4012] all [the things [G3956] which [G3739] is arranged [G5021] for you [G1473] to do [G4160].
11: And as [G5613][G1161] I did not [G3756] look at [anything [G1689] because off the [G3588] glory [G1391] of the [G3588] that light [G5457][G1565], being led by the hand [G5496] by [G5259] the [G3588] [ones] being with [G4895] me [G1473], I came [G2064] unto [G1519] Damascus.
12: Ananias And [G1161] a certain [G5100], man a pious [G2152] according to [G2596] the [G3588] law [G3551], borne witness to [G3140] by [G5259] all [G3956] the [G3588] dwelling [G2730] in [G1722] Damascus Jews],
13: having come [G2064] to [G4314] me [G1473], and [G2532] having stood by [G2186], said [G2036] to me [G1473], O brother Saul , look up ! And I [G2504] the same [G1473] the [G3588] hour [G5610] looked up on [G1519] him [G1473].
14: the [G3588] And [G1161] he said [G2036], the [G3588] God '[G2316] of the [G3588] fathers [G3962] of us [G1473] handpicked [G4400] you [G1473] to know [G1097] the [G3588] will [G2307] of him [G1473], and [G2532] to look [at] [G1492] the [G3588] just one [G1342], and [G2532] to hear voice [G5456] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] mouth [G4750] of him [G1473];
15: for [G3754] you will be a witness [G3144] to him [G1473] to [G4314] all [G3956] men of what [G3739] you have seen [G3708] and [G2532] heard .
16: And [G2532] now [G3568], why [G5100] be about to [G3195]? Having arisen , be submerged and [G2532] wash off the [G3588] sins of you [G1473], calling upon [G1941] the [G3588] name [G3686] of the [G3588] Boss '[G2962].
17: And it happened [G1096][G1161] to me [G1473] in returning [G5290] unto [G1519] Jerusalem, and [G2532] praying [G4336] of me [G1473] in [G1722] the [G3588] temple [G2413], [there] took place [G1096] to me [G1473] inside '[G1722] a change of state [G1611],
18: and [G2532] looking [at] [G1492] him [G1473] saying [G3004] to me [G1473], Hasten [G4692] and [G2532] go forth [G1831][G1722] quickly [G5034] from [G1537] Jerusalem! because [G1360] they will not [G3756] welcome [G3858] of you [G1473] the [G3588] testimony [G3141] concerning [G4012] me [G1473].
19: And I [G2504] said [G2036], O Boss '[G2962], they [G1473] know [G1987] that [G3754] I [G1473] was casting into prison [G5439] and [G2532] flaying [G1194] against [G2596] the [G3588] synagogues [G4864] of the [G3588] [ones] trusting '[G4100] upon [G1909] you [G1473].
20: And [G2532] when [G3753] was poured out [G1632] the [G3588] blood of Stephen the [G3588] witness [G3144] of you [G1473], also [G2532] [I] myself [G1473] was standing by [G2186], and [G2532] assenting with [G4909] the [G3588] removal of him [G1473], guarding [G5442] the [G3588] garments [G2440] of the [G3588] [ones] doing away with him [G1473].
21: And [G2532] he said [G2036] to [G4314] me [G1473], Go [G4198]! for [G3754] I [G1473] unto [G1519] tradition-peoples (ethnics) '[G1484] far [off [G3112] will send [G1821] you [G1473]!
22: And they heard [G1161] him [G1473] until this [G3778] the [G3588] word [G3056], and [G2532] they lifted up [G1869] the [G3588]ir voice [G5456][G1473], saying [G3004], Take from the [G3588] land '[G1093] the [G3588] such a one [G5108]! for it is not [G3756][G1063] fit [G2520] for him [G1473] to live [G2198].
23: crying out [G2896] And [G1161] of their [G1473], and [G2532] tossing [G4495] their the [G3588] garments [G2440], and [G2532] dust [G2868] throwing into [G1519] the [G3588] air ,
24: bid [G2753] him [G1473] the [G3588] commander [G5506] to be conveyed ' unto [G1519] the [G3588] camp [G3925], having said [G2036], with whips [G3148] Investigate him [G1473], that [G2443] we should know [G1921] for [G1223] what [G3739] reason thus [G3779] they sounded out [G2019] against him [G1473].
25: And as [G5613][G1161] they stretched him forward [G4385] with the [G3588] straps [G2438], said [G2036] to [G4314] the [G3588] standing [G2476] centurion [G1543] the [G3588] Paul], Is it [G1487] a Roman man and [G2532] uncondemned allowed [G1832] for you [G1473] to crack the whip on [G3147]?
26: And hearing [G1161], the [G3588] centurion [G1543] came forward [G4334] to report to the [G3588] commander [G5506], saying [G3004], Look to [G3708] what [G5100] you are about [G3195] to do [G4160]! for the [G3588] [G1063] this man [G3778] is a Roman .
27: And having come forward [G4334][G1161], the [G3588] commander [G5506] said [G2036] to him [G1473], Tell [G3004] me [G1473] if [G1487] you [G1473] are a Roman ? the [G3588] And [G1161] he said [G5346], Yes [G3483].
28: responded And [G5037] the [G3588] commander [G5506], I [G1473] by a great [G4183] sum [G2774] the [G3588] this citizenship [G4174][G3778] acquired [G2932]. the [G3588] And [G1161] Paul said [G5346], But I [G1473][G1161] even [G2532] was born [to it [G1080].
29: Then immediately [G2112][G3767] abstained from him [G1473] the [G3588] [ones] being about [G3195] to investigate him [G1473]. And [G2532] the [G3588] commander [G5506] also [G1161] feared [G5399], realizing [G1921] that [G3754] he is a Roman , and [G2532] that [G3754] he was tied up by him [G1473][G1210].
30: And the [G3588][G1161] next day [G1887], wanting [G1014] to know [G1097] the [G3588] safely the [G3588] why he is charged [G5100][G2723] by [G3844] the [G3588] Jews, he loosed [G3089] him [G1473] from the [G3588] bonds [G1199], and [G2532] bid [G2753] to come [G2064] the [G3588] chief priests and [G2532] all [G3650] the [G3588]ir sanhedrin [G4892][G1473]; and [G2532] leading down [G2609] the [G3588] Paul, he stood [him [G2476] among [G1519] them [G1473].
