2 Samuel Chapter 23 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] these are [G3778] the [G3588] words [G3056] of David the [G3588] last [G2078]. Trustworthy [G4103] David, son [G5207] of Jesse, and [G2532] a trustworthy [G4103] man whom [G3739] God raised up [G2316] -- Anointed "'[G5547] of God '[G2316] of Jacob, and [G2532] for beauty [is] the [G3588] psalm [G5568] of the [G3588] Israel.
2: wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151] of Boss '[G2962] spoke [G2980] by [G1722] me [G1473], and [G2532] word [G3056] of him [G1473] [was] upon [G1909] my tongue [G1100][G1473].
3: spoke [G2036] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of Israel] to me [G1473]; spoke [G2980] guardian [G5441] of Israel], ruling among [G1722] men justice [G1342], prince in fear [G5401] of God '[G2316].
4: And [G2532] as [G5613] light [G5457] the [G3588] early morning [G4407], arises sun [G2246] in the morning [G4404], and [G2532] it will not darken [G3756]; from brightness [G5338] and [G2532] from out of [G1537] rain [G5205] as [G5613] pasturage [G1008] of [G1537] land '[G1093].
5: For [G3754] [is] not [G3756] thus [G3779] the [G3588] my house [G3624][G1473] with [G3326] God '[G2316]? for [G3754] covenant [G1242] an of the term (age) ' he established [G5087] with me [G1473], to deliver [G4982] me [G1473], prepared [G2092] at [G1722] all [G3956] time [G2540] being guarded [G5442]. 8: These are [G3778] the [G3588] names [G3686] of the [G3588] mighty ones [G1413] of David. Joshabbasshebeth the [G3588] Tachmonite -- first [G4413] of the [G3588] three [G5140] this one [is [G3778]. Adino the [G3588] Eznite -- this one [G3778] unsheathed [G4685] the [G3588] his broadsword [G4501][G1473] against [G1909] eight hundred slain at once .
9: And [G2532] with [G3326] him [G1473] [is] Eleazar son [G5207] of Dodo, son [G5207] of his uncle [G1473] among [G1722] the [G3588] three [G5140] the [G3588] mighty ones [G1415], this one [G3778] was with [G3326] David in [G1722] the [G3588] his berating [G3679][G1473] among [G1722] the [G3588] Philistines . And [G2532] the [G3588] Philistines gathered together [G4863] there [G1563] for [G1519] war [G4171]. And [G2532] went up men of Israel] before [G4314] their face [G4383][G1473],
10: and [G2532] he [G1473] rose up and [G2532] struck [G3960] the [G3588] Philistines , until [G2193] of which [G3739] tired [G2872] the [G3588] his hand [G5495][G1473], and [G2532] was cleaved [G4347] the [G3588] his hand [G5495][G1473] upon [G1909] the [G3588] sword [G4501]. And [G2532] made [G4160] Boss '[G2962] deliverance [G4991] a great [G3173] in [G1722] the [G3588] that day [G2250][G1473]. And [G2532] the [G3588] people [G2992] returned [G1994] after [G3694][G1473] for [G1519] the [G3588] despoiling .
11: And [G2532] after [G3326] him [G1473] Shammah son [G5207] of Agee the [G3588] Hararite. And [G2532] gathered together [G4863] the [G3588] Philistines in [G1519] Theria, and [G2532] there was there [G1563] a portion [G3310] of a field full [G4134] of lentils . And [G2532] the [G3588] people [G2992] fled [G5343] from [G1537] face [G4383] of Philistines .
12: And [G2532] he stood [G2525] in [G1722] midst [G3319] of the [G3588] portion [G3310], and [G2532] rescued [G1807] it [G1473], and [G2532] struck [G3960] the [G3588] Philistines . And [G2532] BOSS executed [G4160][G2962] deliverance [G4991] a great [G3173].
13: And [G2532] went down [G2597] three [G5140] from the [G3588] thirty [G5144] rulers , and [G2532] they entered [G1525] unto [G4314] David into [G1519] the [G3588] cave [G4693] of Adullam. And [G2532] [the battle] order [G5001] of the [G3588] Philistines camped in [G1722] the [G3588] valley of Rephaim.
14: And [G2532] David [was] then [G5119] in [G1722] the [G3588] citadel [G4042], and [G2532] the [G3588] garrison of the [G3588] Philistines [was] then [G5119] in [G1722] Beth-lehem.
15: And [G2532] David desired [G1937], and [G2532] said [G2036], Who [G5100] will give to drink [G4222] me [G1473] water [G5204] from [G1537] the [G3588] well , the [G3588] [one] in [G1722] Beth-lehem, of the [G3588] [one] at [G1722] the [G3588] gate [G4439]?
16: And [G2532] tore up [G1284] the [G3588] three [G5140] mighty ones [G1415] the [G3588] camp [G3925] of the [G3588] Philistines , and [G2532] they drew water [G5204] from [G1537] the [G3588] well , of the [G3588] [one] in [G1722] Beth-lehem, of the [G3588] [one] by [G1722] the [G3588] gate [G4439]. And [G2532] they took [of it [G2983], and [G2532] came [G3854] to [G4314] David. And [G2532] he did not [G3756] want [G2309] to drink [G4095] it [G1473], and [G2532] he offered it a libation [G4689][G1473] to the [G3588] Boss '[G2962].
17: And [G2532] he said [G2036], Kindness be [G2436] to me [G1473], O Boss '[G2962], the [G3588] to do [G4160] this [G3778]. will [G1487] blood of the [G3588] men the [G3588] going [G4198] with [G1722] the [G3588]ir lives [G5590][G1473] I drink], [no [G4095]. And [G2532] he did not [G3756] want [G2309] to drink [G4095] it [G1473]. These [things] [G3778] did [G4160] the [G3588] three [G5140] mighty ones [G1415].
18: And [G2532] Abishai the [G3588] brother of Joab, son [G5207] of Zeruiah, [was] foremost [G4413] of the [G3588] three [G5140]. And [G2532] he [G1473] awakened [G1825] the [G3588] his spear [G1473] upon [G1909] three hundred [G5145] slain , and [G2532] to him [G1473] [was] a name [G3686] among [G1722] the [G3588] three [G5140].
19: Of [G1537] the [G3588] three [G5140] [he was] honored [G1741], and [G2532] was to them [G1473] for [G1519] ruler , and [G2532] unto [G2193] the [G3588] [first] three [G5140] he did not [G3756] arrive at [G2064].
20: And [G2532] Benaiah son [G5207] of Jehoiada, son [G5207] man of a mighty [G1415], with great [G4183] works [G2041] from Kabzeel. This one [G3778] struck [G3960] the [G3588] two [G1417] sons [G5207] of Ariel the [G3588] of Moab. And [G2532] he [G1473] went down [G2597] and [G2532] struck [G3960] the [G3588] lion [G3023] in [G1722] midst [G3319] of the [G3588] pit in [G1722] day [G2250] a snowy [G5510].
21: And [G2532] he [G1473] struck [G3960] the [G3588] Egyptian man the [G3588], man a remarkable [G3707]; and in [G1722][G1161] the [G3588] hand [G5495] of the [G3588] Egyptian [was] a spear . And [G2532] he went down [G2597] to [G4314] him [G1473] with [G1722] a rod [G4464], and [G2532] seized by force the [G3588] wooden spear from out of [G1537] the [G3588] hand [G5495] of the [G3588] Egyptian, and [G2532] killed him [G1473] with [G1722] the [G3588] his spear [G1473].
22: These [things] [G3778] did [G4160] Benaiah son [G5207] of Jehoiada], and [G2532] to him [was [G1473] a name [G3686] among [G1722] the [G3588] three [G5140] mighty ones [G1415].
23: [He was] over [G5228] the [G3588] thirty [G5144] honorable ones [G1741], but [G2532] to [G4314] the [G3588] [first] three [G5140] he did not [G3756] arrive at [G2064]. And [G2532] ordered [G5021] him [G1473] David] for [G4314] the [G3588] his reports [G1473]. And [G2532] these [G3778] are the [G3588] names [G3686] of the [G3588] mighty ones [G1415] of David the [G3588] king .
24: Asahel brother of Joab among [G1722] the [G3588] thirty [G5144]. Elhanan son [G5207] of Dodo his uncle [G1473] in [G1722] Beth-lehem.
25: Shammah the [G3588] Harodite. Elika the [G3588] Harodite.
26: Helez the [G3588] Paltite. Ira son [G5207] of Ikkesh the [G3588] Tekoite.
27: Abiezer the [G3588] Anathothite. Mebunnai the [G3588] Hushathite.
28: Zalmon the [G3588] Ahohite. Maharai the [G3588] Netophathite.

30: Benaiah the [G3588] Pirathonite. Hiddai from out of [G1537] Naxali-Gaash.
31: Abi-albon the [G3588] Arbathite. Azmaveth the [G3588] Barhumite.
32: Eliahba the [G3588] Shaalbonite. Sons [G5207] of Jashen, Jonathan,
33: Shammah the [G3588] Hararite. Ahiam son [G5207] of Sharar the [G3588] Hararite.
34: Eliphelet son [G5207] of the [G3588] Ahasbai, son [G5207] of the [G3588] Maachathite. Eliam son [G5207] of Ahithophel the [G3588] Gilonite.
35: Hezrai the [G3588] Carmelite. Paarai the [G3588] Arbite.
36: Igal son [G5207] of Nathan of [G1537] Zobah. Bani the [G3588] Gadite.
37: Zelek the [G3588] Ammonite. Nahari the [G3588] Beerothite, the [G3588] [one] lifting the [G3588] equipment [G4632] of Joab son [G5207] of Zeruiah.
38: Ira the [G3588] Ithrite. Gareb the [G3588] Ithrite.
39: Uriah the [G3588] Hittite. In all the [G3588][G3956] thirty [G5144] and [G2532] seven [G2033].
