1 Kings Chapter 17 - | Early Church Bible

1: And [G2532] said [G2036] Elijah the [G3588] Tishbite], the [G3588] [one] from [G1537] Tishbon the [G3588] of Gilead, to [G4314] Ahab, As BOSS lives [G2198][G2962], the [G3588] God '[G2316] of Israel, in whom [G3739] I stand [G3936] before [G1799] him [G1473], will [G1487] there be the [G3588]se years [G2094][G3778] dew and [G2532] rain, [no [G5205], but [G3754] unless [G1508] [it be] through [G1223] word [G3056] of mouth [G4750] of me [G1473].
2: And [G2532] came to pass [G1096] saying [G4487] of Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] Elijah.
3: Go [G4198] from here [G1782] according to [G2596] east , and [G2532] hide [G2928] at [G1722] the [G3588] rushing stream [G5493] Cherith, to the [G3588] [one] upon [G1909] face [G4383] of the [G3588] Jordan!
4: And [G2532] it will be from out of [G1537] the [G3588] rushing stream [G5493] you will drink [G4095] water [G5204], and [G2532] to the [G3588] crows [G2876] I will give charge [G1781] the [G3588] to nourish you [G1473] there [G1563].
5: And [G2532] went [G4198] and [G2532] did [G4160] Elijah] according to [G2596] the [G3588] saying [G4487] of Boss '[G2962]. And [G2532] he sat down [G2523] by [G1722] the [G3588] rushing stream [G5493] Cherith upon [G1909] face [G4383] of the [G3588] Jordan.
6: And [G2532] the [G3588] crows [G2876] brought [G5342] to him [G1473] bread [loaves and [G2532] meat [G2907] in the morning [G4404], and [G2532] bread [loaves and [G2532] meat [G2907] in the [G3588] afternoon . And [G2532] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] rushing stream [G5493] he drank [G4095] water [G5204].
7: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] after [G3326] [many] days [G2250], that [G2532] dried up [G3583] the [G3588] rushing stream [G5493], for [G3754] there was no [G3756][G1096] rain [G5205] upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093].
8: And [G2532] came to pass [G1096] word [G4487] [of the] Boss '[G2962] to [G4314] Elijah, saying [G3004],
9: Rise up , and [G2532] go [G4198] into [G1519] Sarepta of the [G3588] Sidonians! and [G2532] you will dwell [G2730] there [G1563]. Look [G2400], I have given charge [G1781] there [G1563] woman [G1135] [for] a widow [G5503] the [G3588] to nourish you [G1473].
10: And [G2532] he rose up and [G2532] went [G4198] into [G1519] Sarepta. And [G2532] he came [G2064] unto [G1519] the [G3588] gate-house [G4440] of the [G3588] city [G4172]. And [G2532] look [G2400], there [G1563] woman [G1135] a widow [G5503] [was] collecting together [G4816] wood [G3586]. And [G2532] yelled out after [G3694] her [G1473] Elijah], and [G2532] said [G2036] to her [G1473], Take [G2983] indeed [G1211] for me [G1473] a little [G3641] water [G5204] into [G1519] a container , and [G2532] I will drink [G4095].
11: And [G2532] she went [G4198] to take [G2983], and [G2532] yelled out after [G3694] her [G1473] Elijah], and [G2532] said [G2036] to her [G1473], Give [G2983] indeed [G1211] to me [G1473] morsel of bread in [G1722] the [G3588] your hand [G5495][G1473], and [G2532] I will eat [G2068].
12: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] woman [G1135], As lives [G2198] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] your God '[G2316][G1473], If [G1487] there is to me [G1473] a cake baked in hot ashes -- [good ? but [I have] only as much as [G3745] a handful of flour in [G1722] the [G3588] pitcher [G5201], and [G2532] a little [G3641] olive oil [G1637] in [G1722] the [G3588] jar . And [G2532] look [G2400], I [G1473] will collected together [G4816] two [G1417] sticks , and [G2532] I will enter [G1525] and [G2532] make [G4160] it [G1473] for myself [G1683] and [G2532] the [G3588] my children [G5043][G1473], and [G2532] we will eat [G2068] and [G2532] die .
13: And [G2532] said [G2036] to [G4314] her [G1473] Elijah], Be of courage [G2293]! enter [G1525] and [G2532] do [G4160] according to [G2596] the [G3588] your word [G4487][G1473]! But make [G4160] for me [G1473] from there [G1564] cake baked in hot ashes a small [G3397] at [G1722] first [G4413], and [G2532] bring it forth [G1627] to me [G1473]! and to yourself [G1438][G1161] you will make [G4160] and [G2532] to the [G3588] children [G5043] of you [G1473] at [G1909] last [G2078].
14: For [G3754] thus [G3592] says [G3004] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of Israel, the [G3588] pitcher [G5201] of the [G3588] flour will not [G3756] fail [G1587], and [G2532] the [G3588] jar of the [G3588] olive oil [G1637] will not [G3756] have less [G1641], until [G2193] days [G2250] of the [G3588] giving [G1325] by the [G3588] Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] rain [G5205] upon [G1909] the [G3588] land '[G1093].
15: And [G2532] went [G4198] the [G3588] woman [G1135] and [G2532] did [G4160] according to [G2596] the [G3588] word [G4487] of Elijah; and [G2532] she gave [G1325] to him [G1473], and [G2532] he ate [G2068][G1473], and [G2532] she [G1473], and [G2532] the [G3588] her children [G5043][G1473].
16: And [G2532] the [G3588] pitcher [G5201] of the [G3588] flour failed not [G3756][G1587], and [G2532] the [G3588] jar of the [G3588] olive oil [G1637] had not less [G3756][G1641], according to [G2596] the [G3588] saying [G4487] of Boss '[G2962], which [G3739] he spoke [G2980] by [G1722] hand [G5495] of Elijah.
17: And [G2532] it came to pass [G1096] after [G3326] these [things] [G3778] that [G2532] became ill the [G3588] son [G5207] of the [G3588] woman [G1135] [who was] the [G3588] boss lady [G2959] of the [G3588] house [G3624], and [G2532] was the [G3588] illness of him '[G1473] fortified [G2900] very much [G4970], until [G2193][G3739] there was not [G3756] left behind [G5275] in [G1722] him [G1473] a wind/spirit/breathing '[G4151].
18: And [G2532] she said [G2036] to [G4314] Elijah, What [is it [G5100] to me [G1473] and [G2532] to you [G1473], O man of the [G3588] God '[G2316], [for you] to enter [G1525] to [G4314] me [G1473], the [G3588] to call to mind the [G3588] my iniquities [G1473] and [G2532] to kill [G2289] the [G3588] my son [G5207][G1473]?
19: And [G2532] Elijah said [G2036] to [G4314] the [G3588] woman [G1135], Give [G1325] me [G1473] the [G3588] son [G5207] of you [G1473]! And [G2532] he took [G2983] him [G1473] from out of [G1537] the [G3588] her bosom [G2859][G1473], and [G2532] brought him [G1473] into [G1519] the [G3588] upper room [G5253] in [G1722] which [G3739] he [G1473] settled [G2521] there [G1563], and [G2532] he rested him [G1473] upon [G1909] the [G3588] his bed [G2825][G1473].
20: And [G2532] Elijah yelled out to [G4314] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] he said [G2036], O Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of me [G1473], also indeed [G2532][G1065] the [G3588] widow [G5503] with [G3326] whom [G3739] I [G1473] dwell [G2730] with her [G3326][G1473], have you inflicted evil [G1473][G2559] the [G3588] to kill [G2289] the [G3588] her son [G5207][G1473]?
21: And [G2532] he breathed into [G1720] the [G3588] boy [G3808] three times [G5151], and [G2532] he called upon [G1941] the [G3588] Boss '[G2962], and [G2532] he said [G2036], O Boss '[G2962] the [G3588] God '[G2316] of me [G1473], return [G1994] indeed [G1211] the [G3588] life [G5590] of the [G3588] this boy [G3808][G3778] to [G1519] [him [G1473]!
22: And [G2532] it became [G1096] so [G3779], and [G2532] returned [G1994] the [G3588] life [G5590] of the [G3588] boy [G3808] to [G1519] [him [G1473]. And [G2532] yelled out the [G3588] boy [G3808].
23: And [G2532] he led [G2609] [him [G1473] from the [G3588] upper room [G5253] into [G1519] the [G3588] house [G3624], and [G2532] he gave [G1325] it [G1473] [to the [G3588] his mother [G3384][G1473]. And [G2532] Elijah said [G2036], See ! lives [G2198] the [G3588] your son [G5207][G1473].
24: And [G2532] said [G2036] the [G3588] woman [G1135] to [G4314] Elijah, look [G2400], I know [G1097] that [G3754] a man of the [G3588] God '[G2316] you are [G1473], and [G2532] word [G4487] of Boss '[G2962] in [G1722] the [G3588] your mouth [G4750][G1473] [is] true .
